I am really not one to complain or want to leave bad reviews, however I feel like I have to today. I don't get my nails done often but when I do I want them to look nice. I'm pretty simple in my choices don't need anything extravagant or complicated. I bookmarked this salon when I first moved here due to the reviews left and the pictures. I finally got in today where the door reads walk ins welcomed. As soon I got in I was greeted and immediately asked if I had an appointment. I said no I was not aware I needed one, she stared at me and didn't say anything then asked one of the ladies to help me so she said ok over there (already not very friendly). So I'm in for a pedi and mani, chose my toe nail color and she starts working on me. It's all fine during the pedi, I would have liked for her to maybe scrub my feet a little more but that's not really enough to leave a review. So then we move to the seated area for my mani and I tell her I would like gel. I have no complaints at the beginning until she starts pushing my cuticles back.. very rough with the scraping and then once she started cleaning them up she cut one finger pretty deep but continued to cut off the area. Well it's needless to say it started bleeding. Naturally she puts the blue cuticle liquid on it to stop it from bleeding, which obviously it burns, so I cringe a bit under my breath. She seems to have gotten annoyed with and her mood changed completely. As she's putting the gel color on she stabs her finger nail into the spot she cut open to scrape some of the blood off which in return causes me to cringe again. Short demands after that. I'm not very happy with the color but it's the one I chose so I can't hold that against them. All in all I'm pretty disappointed and wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. I ended up paying $50 for a mani/pedi with gel which would have been no issue if it wasn't just a basic mani/pedi I could have gotten somewhere else. Everyone else in there seemed pretty happy but they also came to see specific people. So I guess I was just unfortunate to get the lady that doesn't have appointments who takes care of the walk ins. Best pedicure in town! Family owned! I am in the dental field so sterilization is important to me! They are very clean and use the most up to date sterilization techniques! Also their pedicures lasts me a month! Love this place! Ask for John or Jenny. They are the owners! Read Less

I've always had a good experience here! They all know my name and when I walk in, they always say hi by name. They don't rush you out! Once they know that you don't want all the "extras", they respect that and don't ask again. This place definitely has their loyal customers.Read Less

I just moved to Laguna Niguel and wanted to find a nail salon close to my new home.  I called to make an appointment and was able to get an appointment the same day.  Jenny (the owner) did a pink and white fill and I am very happy with the results.  I would highly recommend giving this place a try! I needed to make a last minute appointment for an upcoming wedding.  They took me that day at 12:30pm.  Jenny did a beautiful job and she was able to finish in my lunch break.  The price was fantastic and I'm beyond happy with my results.  I would definitely go back again. Read Less

This hidden gem is not to be missed. Tina and Jenny are great, professional, and personable. I enjoy ending the day with a relaxing fill (Yes, the way Tina gives a fill, it is relaxing. I don't feel at all as if I have to do all the work to make it easy for her.) and pedicure in a salon where care for the customer is foremost. I have been coming here for a long time now. I like the staff, and they always do a Great job. Only one thing really Bugs me and some others. There is someone name Katelyn that is nice as well but she seems to stay in the Facial room for a long time. It really hurts me to see that she does not even care to ask how things are. she just Hybernates like a Bear and seems angry at us in the Nail salon. This place is REALLY GREAT.  They R ALWAYS able 2 accomodate.  Walkins,  appointments, No Problem.  Its's an easy, low key atmosphere w REALLY AWESOME PEOPLE!  Tina and Jen R SUPER SWEET, upbeat and a pleasure 2 chat with!  I mean, how often can U say that?!  NEVER HAD A PROBLEM W THEM and I've been a patron of theirs since 2010. I won't return here.  I've been looking for a local place since my office moved from Irvine where I was really happy with Helen & Tammy at Unique Nails.  The great reviews on yelp convinced me to try Sunny Nails.  I'm not sure why they have such great reviews.I called in at 9am on a Wednesday and asked if they could take a walk-in for a gel mani and a pedi.  She said no, but if I came in at 9:30 they could.  I made the appt and showed up at 9:30. NOT HOSPITABLE/PERSONABLE AT ALL:   When I arrived I gave my name and my appt time.  The woman who looked up said "Ok" and started talking to another nail tech there in Vietnamese. ( The speaking in Vietnamese to each other doesn't bother me at all.  I'm really used to it and have become personal friends with other nail techs from other locations.) The other person started running the water in one of the spa pedi chairs but no one said anything to me at all.  I started looking for a color and then had to ask if the chair was for me.  They said yes.  I sat down and waited.A few minutes later someone came over and started working on my hands.  She didn't introduce herself, say hello, or anything.  I asked her what her name was and she said "Jenny" and kind of giggled like she realized that she should have introduced herself.  Still, she didn't say anything else; didn't ask me how I found the place, if I lived or worked nearby...nothing.  About 1/2 way through my mani, someone came and started on my feet.  Again, in silence. It continued this way until they were done.  Now I really like to relax when I'm having a mani/pedi so I don't want to chit chat the whole time but this was ridiculous. I felt like a product on an assembly line.Also,  I'm used to a new place asking me if I want a pillow behind my back, etc. so that I can be comfortable in the chair. No one offered anything or even asked if I was comfortable at all.  I could go on; no place to put your purse, no place to put the gel lights (so it's propped up on the side bar and your arms have to tweak to get your hands in there), non-existent massage on hands or feet (basically just lotion application), and polish left on the skin of both hands and feet, etc.  I wanted to love this place because it's so close to where I work but it definitely didn't happen for me.  I'll have to keep looking. I have been coming here for 7 years now. Tina, Kaitlyn and Diamond are the best but they all do a great job! only place I will go to for waxing. I can go in get exactly what I want and not be harassed or feel uncomfortable. I recommend this salon to everyone!! Read Less
