I went here on Sunday, as my other place was closed. One, the mani-pedi was way overpriced, so I expect a top quality service If I'm paying extra. I did not get that at all. My nails came out so bad, I had to go back and have them completely redo them. After they redid them, they looked fine until I realized that they are sticky, permanently. There is some weird film on them, and I don't know if it's a bad top coat or what, but I'm very unhappy. They were for my birthday and I don't have the money to get them redone, so I just had to take them off. I emailed their corporate to get a refund and they never responded. Great vibe here. Everyone is happy and providing great customer service with a smile. Rare these days. Price points are competitive for this market. Manicure 15 gel manicure 30 pedi 22... Not my favorite place to go but it's super easy to get in and out, and I definitely don't understand all the horrible reviews. I've definitely been to worse places. They're friendly and efficient. This place is the worst!! There are many nail salons in Ladera, choose a different one. I purchased the biggest package. They rushed the service. I didn't get a 15 massage that I paid for. There is white on my fingertips from the French manicure. The gal never cleaned under my nails. My pedicure was even worse. The old polish is still on my toes. She didn't do the callus removal. Worst manicure and pedicure, EVER. The manicure took a total of 10 minutes. Obviously not enough time to do a thorough job. And pedicure took longer but only because the gal didn't know what she was doing. Complete waste of time and $35. Awful. Read Less

I wish I could give them negative stars. I went here for a gel mani and picked a nude shade that showed up very opaque on the example only to find that they only do a "two coat policy" my nails turned out legitimately looking like a regular bare, naked nail. awesome Read Less

This place isn't satisfied that you are already giving them business, they want more, more, more. You can't even enjoy your pedicure without them trying to "upgrade " it to a better package. The main guy that works here is annoying and would do well in sales because he refuses to give up... After being harassed for an hour or so your nails will look crappy as if your 5th grade daughter did them..... Give this place two chance because I live in walking distance but never again...... The absolute WORST nail salon! I stopped in here for a quick mani after getting my hair done. Once I told them I only wanted a regular mani as opposed to a gel, I was treated VERY differently - i.e. worse than the "higher paying customers." I sat in a tiny desk in a corner where this older woman half-heartedly filed and trimmed my nails. She didn't pay attention the entire time and cut my finger badly. Great prices, good location, just don't come on busy days, like the weekend, because they will rush through your procedure to get more clients in. What I like best about this place is that they play by the rules and sanitate their pedi tools, opening them right in front of you. To me that's important. This place sucks! I can paint my nails better than these people! They paint your nails like it was done by a 7 year old kid. This is the last time im going here! Waste of money!! This place needs new nail polishes cause all of theirs are all old and nasty and come out looking like crap! Eventhough I got talked into the $48 mani pedi, it was so worth it! The massage from the lady was great! She was a little off on the nail polish though. And the toe lady spent a lot of time making sure everything was perfect. They were very nice, asked questions and appreciative.Convenient location (by work) and I will be back again. Read Less

The worst experience Ever!! I got my nails done by Mike he was so rude to me and didn't listen on how I wanted my nails done. I ended up filing, shaping  my nails myself. He kept talking under his breath & to top it off he kept arguing with me. It got to the point were I wanted to walk out.He was still trying to charge me full price for unfinished nails. I told him to just finish it so I could just go already.. I will never go to this place again or recommend anyone else too!!!Not to mention I waited 30 minutes just so someone can do my nails. This place is horrible!!! Poor customer service!!!! I've been going to this place for years because it's close to my house and I found one girl out of the whole place that does a good job. Every time I go there it's something as far as service. I always make appts but every time I go there my girl isn't available she'll start on a new customer then I wait and they tell me she needs to go on break so they give me someone else then  they take that person away because that person had an appt show up and give me someone who cut up my all toes. Then I ran into a friend there and we started talking and they told me I wasn't allowed to speak to their customers yelling at me across the room causing a seen. Then another time I did gel on my nails since I had a wedding to go to the gel started chipping and turning black the next day so I went in and they wouldn't fix them $15 down the drain. Today was the final straw. I had an appt so I went in no one is at the desk so my girl is doing someone toes right in the front so I asked her how long she was going to be she said one hour, I told her ok I'll be back in one hour. I went back in an hour and she just started on another person, I tell the manager what happened and she told me to come back in an hour after I explained to her I had an appt, came in was told to come back in an hour then come back to be told another hour. She didn't even care, didn't apologize..nothing, no let me get someone else to do that customers toes since he didn't have an appt and I did. I'm so done with this place and not worth the money...that's why everyone I know has stopped going there and every time I'm in there people are complaining. Horrible management and horrible workers!! I have been going to Happy Nails for a little over a year now, and after today's visit, I will absolutely never go back. I am getting married in less than 2 weeks, so I came in today to do a "test run" of the nail color/design that I was wanting to have on my wedding day.After being told to sit in one of the chairs, two different nail techs began working, one on my toes and one on my hands. I chose a color for my toes, and I showed a picture of the nail color/design I wanted from a Pinterest picture. The nail tech nodded and said she could do what I was wanting (it was really simple, white nails with thin silver horizontal stripes). She painted my nails white, and then I was told to pay while the white polish dried, before the silver stripes could be painted on. After I paid, all of the sudden a different girl came to finish my nails. I was really confused because I had already shown the nail art design I wanted to the first girl, but I thought "whatever" and showed the new tech what I wanted. She immediately got very snippy with me and told me I would have to pay $10 more if I wanted her to do it. Ummmm... If the first girl knew what I wanted and charged me a certain amount, why would I have to pay more?! Very shady. The tech was extremely rude to me, and when she finally attempted to do what I was asking for, it looked absolutely horrendous, sloppy and awful. I explained that I had a wedding shower the next day and that what she was doing to my nails was nowhere similar to what I showed in the picture, and she was extremely condescending to me, to the point where even the customer next to me made a comment about it. I ended up getting so frustrated that I asked her just to remove the  sloppy nail art and just put glitter on my nails so that at least my nails looked halfway decent for my wedding shower. I asked for a very fine glitter since my nails were white, nothing chunky or too thick. Well, what do you know, she starts painting my nails with a really distracting, cheap looking glitter polish, and even when I told her that was not the type of glitter I wanted, she continued to paint my nails in silence and did not apologize to me for the totally botched nails. I absolutely will never go to Happy Nails again! I have never been "wowed" by my nails and I thought they were very overpriced for their quality of work when I have gone there before, I just go out of convenience because it's near my house, but now I will definitely find a different nail salon in Ladera Ranch. I LOVE everyone that works here. The service is always fantastic, and all the girls are extremely talented and so sweet. If you like acrylic nails I would suggest Tracy as #1 ... then Jackie is my 2nd favorite, then Kayla is my 3rd! They are all AMAZING. Lora and Katherine are grey for waxing!! Everyone else is great for regular Mani/pedis && the chairs are super comfortable! Their prices are definitely reasonable especially for the quality of work. They have a 29$ special mon-thurs for Mani/pedi which is an awesome deal! I have had my nails done at a million places by a million people, and have never been disappointed here.
