Today was my first time visiting Wendy Nail Salon, what a great positive experience I had.I didn't have an appointment and they were able to fit me into their schedule for a new set of Gel Nails! This was my favorite local nail salon due to the cleanliness and precisive skills until the experiences from the last few times. The 1-star review below mine's pretty much sums up the reason why I no longer go here (plus more). I'll keep it short and to the point:1. I had made an appointment for a basic mani and pedi, however that didn't matter as they seemed to double schedule their clients. The ladies who were working on me were rushing to be able to make time for the other clients, and they cut my skin causing it to bleed. 2. The same lady doing my pedicure dropped one of the tools on the ground, and went back to using the tool on me without disinfection.3. I once got the organic pedicure, which consists of them boiling a tea bag in the microwave then pouring the hot tea into the water where your feet is soaking. Well, one of the ladies poured the boiling tea water right on top of my foot, which scalded my skin. It's getting more difficult finding a clean, safe, and consistent nail salon. I have looked far and wide for someone who is able to give me beautiful nails. I thank the day I contacted Zay nails for my first appointment . The salon has a great atmosphere where not only your nails are stunning, but you have a laugh and a giggle, coffee and quality biscuits and come out truly relaxed. While looking for a local nail salon, I came across Windy's and decided to try it out.  I have been going here for about 1 year and never had a problem with getting an appointment when I needed it.  The prices are competitive and the color selection is enormous!! I use to bring my own color, but Windy's has the high-end nail polishes (Zoya and Essie) so I don't bring mine anymore.  I am a fan of your regular mani-pedicure (gel only for vacations).  The spa chairs are all lined with plastic and each customer gets sanitized tools.  I also like that they use gloves for pedicures.  I have never felt rush (well, except for my first visit, if I recall) and the girl looks to be no longer there.  Give them a try, you will be glad you did. Such a wonderful salon! Quiet, exceptionally clean, with the best spa chairs I've ever sat in. Warm, friendly, relaxing vibe. Appointment recommended but they'll work to accommodate you without. We love Nancy and Cindy.  And great services! I usually get the gel pedi, and it lasts forever. Organic mani/pedi is nice too. I do give them 5 stars for cleanliness.  It was by far one of the cleanest nail salons around.  The negative thing is that the gel came off two days after application.  I have had the gel manicure before and it did last about 2 weeks.  Sad to say I will not return to this location. Read Less

I came here with my boyfriend after a day of walking around in the rain at Descanso Gardens. We showed up 45 minutes before closing in need of a little relaxation and we were taken care of right away. We got basic pedicures, which included a massage that put my boyfriend to sleep. The price was fair, the place was clean and my pedicure is still perfect a week later. I wish I lived closer, I would make this my main place! Read Less

Lovely Nails is now Windy's Nails and Spa as it is under new management.  Windy is the owner and she has remodeled the salon and completely updated everything with fresh paint, new spa chairs, big screen tv's and a wonderful facelift that was sadly needed.  Windy is very knowledgeable about nail health and had me change from my acrylic nails after 20 years to using a new product that was much healthier for my nails.  I am thrilled with her service and my hands and feet have never looked better or been healthier.  She is really great and I highly recommend her and her staff.  It is such a pleasant experience to visit Windy's for quality and good customer service.  She speaks English which was always a problem for me before.  Welcome Windy's Nails and Spa to La Canada Flintridge as the best nail salon in the area! I usually don't write reviews but I have never been treated so badly at a business and want to let others know.   Yesterday I went in for a mani/pedi.   I had a gift certificate that was a year old that I needed to use.  I called ahead to see if would still be okay to use it and the person said yes.   I was sensitive to the fact that the certificate was a year old and had intended to tip well.While sitting there I noticed that the place was not clean looking - the floor needed to be vacuumed and there is a general feeling of it not being kept up.   The front door wouldn't open and someone had to let me in; it was stuck. It was hot inside. I got the mani-pedi then everyone who had been working on me left the room.   I sat and sat and no one came back to put my sandals on my feet.   I finally said that I needed to go, and they said "You can go now."   I put my sandals on and walked out.   I had intended to tip the people who did my service but they were so rude by never coming back in the room.   I was "dismissed".I felt so humiliated as I got my purse and walked out, like I had done something wrong.   No one said another word, like Thank You, or anything.Obviously I will never go there again. I have been attending Lovely Nail since I was in high school. I have always been completely satisfied with their services. For a long time I stuck with just plain pedicures and manicures, which would last about a week because I was a swimmer and camp counselor and was very rough on my hands and feet. But now that I am working I have been getting acrylics from them and I have always been happy with the results and the price! I happened to be in La Canada for the weekend and decided to get a pedicure with my friend. I called ahead of time and made an appointment. When I got to the salon the ladies were no where near friendly. I wanted to get the spa pedicure which was only $19(sounds like a good price) my friend wanted just the regular that was $14. So I got the spa chair, and my friend got to sit in a regular office chair with a tub to put her feet in. They started me off first putting the cuticle oil on my toes and all the nice stuff then used the pumice rock with some soap for my heels ringed it off gulped some lotion on my calves rubbed it a little and then painted my toes. ALL DONE! As she was painting my toes another lady started on my friend. I'm watching her get hers done and she got all the same things I did and even a better leg massage that even included a FOOT rub that I didn't get. I would think that that since I asked for the spa pedicure I would get a scrub, or a mask even. But NO! I got less then she did and I payed more. DO NOT COME HERE. Unless you're looking for something super simple and cheap. This is NOT the place for a spa pedicure!!!! Read Less

The atmosphere isn't great, but it's really cheap, and the ladies are very nice and do a fantastic job. I usually go every week while I'm at home. I am in San Francisco for the summer, and am desperately trying to find a good nail salon, but everything is at least double the price. I miss Lovely Nails! Read Less
