My friend and I went to get our nails and had a reservation, we asked that 2 spots be available when we get there. When we went in for our appointment, there was only 1 spot available and I had to wait another 10 minutes until being seated a far distance from my friend. I asked for matte, which can be done with a top coat and is free at most salons, although I was charged an extra $5 here. I then asked for an almond shape, and that would have been another extra $5. When she used the drill thing for my acrylics, she would often hit my cuticle. The lady that did my nails was the owner and if the owner can barely do decent acrylics, I doubt the other workers would be able to. When she applied the topcoat for the matte, my nails were not even dry and it made the bristles of the topcoat red, and she was whiping the bristles on a piece of paper towel, and maybe that is why my nails are not matte, but glossy. I asked told him I wanted gradient nails. Natural pink and white. He points to a few swatches, a hot pink and white gradient one and a couple glitter gradient and says "Ombre nail, very beautiful." I said "Yes! But I don't like hot pink for winter. I want natural." He says "Okay, natural pink and white dip nails." I replied "Yes." He starts the process and later I look down and realize that he had already given me 5 french tips in coffin shape! Way too much white space and it was lumpy and gross. I quietly explained that I did not think he understood what I meant and would like to do something else. The response was ALARMING. He set down his tools, became angry and rude started shouting to his coworker Tammy "I TOLD HER FROM THE BEGINNING. NOW SHE DOESN'T LIKE THEM. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I TOLD HER FROM THE BEGINNING" in front of all the other customers. She came over and tapped his arm and said something sharply in another language before turning to me and apologizing and helping me come to a solution He ANGRILY and ROUGHLY DRILLED my hands to take off his shoddy work, while yelling that I should have said something earlier. He went far as to say I WASTED HIS TIME. A I was incredibly anxious and embarrassed, as other women were laughing at me being yelled at by the manicurist and his coworker sheepishly watching across the salon and trying desperately to fix it. Nice atmosphere, plenty of happy patrons but one very rude and disrespectful employee. Do not go to him. Read Less

If I could give a 0 I would. My girlfriend came in and got berated and yelled at when this dump of a facility decided to give her not only the wrong acrylic nails, but then proceeded to yell at her in front of the entire store. Anthony decided to give her a completely different style than she asked for. Not to mention her cuticles we're bleeding after getting her nails done. DO NOT GET ANTHONY IF YOU DO HAPPEN UPON THIS LOCATION. When she returned to the store she was then refused a redo and had to then beg for them to change it until they told her they would only reshape the nail. I will go out of my way to make sure that all of my family and friends NEVER return to this joke of an establishment. The worst customer service I have ever heard of. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE. Costumer service was absolutely the worst I've ever had to deal with. I came in with a picture of what I had wanted my nails to look like, and they said it was no problem they could do that for me. Not only did they not do what I wanted AT ALL, the man then persuaded to YELL at me because I didn't like what he had done.If you do go, don't get Anthony...he will not listen to you. He doesn't pay attention to detail, and doesn't care about his customers. When I asked if I could get a refund or even if they could redo them, it was a huge hassle. This place is pretty terrible!I came here a few weeks ago (Saturday) for a gel mani. It was by far the worst mani I've ever had. After getting enough courage, I called them to say that I was unhappy. Within two days, the gel was already chipping off. They said they would replace it so I went back the following week. I called at 3 to make an appointment and I told them that I was on my way. When I got there, they kept me waiting for 45 minutes. They redid my mani and 4 days later (today), it's already chipping off. They are rude, horrible service, and your mani will never last! This salon has the BEST customer service ever! The owner ALWAYS remembers you and why you visit. I love that. Jenny is the BEST and the most talented person to ever do my nails. Ask for her and you will see. Everyone is well trained no matter what service you need pedicure, wax, etc. I just love this salon, and I have been having my nails done for 20 years. I've been using this salon for over 15 years. Amanda is doing something right as she is the only owner this salon has had for nearly 20 years. She hires and maintains a high quality staff of technicians whose skills and attention are above anything I found at the chain shops. In response to another comment I read, the salon price list has always been posted at the reception desk. The technicians work very hard and get along with each other. I would recommend the salon in a heartbeat and I am so glad to have it in my neighborhood. This place is one of the worst nail salons. My nails are lopsided, uneven and pathetic looking. I tried to explain to the nail technician, she kept ignoring me and huffing and puffing like I was inconveniencing her...no smiling or thank you. What a fool I was, I gave her a $5 tip like a dummy. She then started the ""talking"" behind my back deal in her native language. She was in a hurry to leave, it was the end of the day. My nails look ugly, just like their nail salon. There are no signs with the prices like most salons. I have no idea how they stay in business. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!!! They also expect you to pay CASH. This is the best nail place I've found in my neck of the woods. The prices are unbeatable, and the energy in the salon is very good and positive. While it's a no-frills sort of establishment, the place is clean and the nail techs are friendly and upbeat. I've been extremely pleased with the quality of their work on my acrylics. I love this place. They do a great job, very skilled at acrylics. I recently moved to Irvine, Orange county and have tried multiple places. there are a couple of chain type nail spas here (star, happy nails, etc) and i tried them with disappointment. At Nail's Paradise they listen to what you want but also have an intuitive sense that comes from experience so that they really get how you wnat your hands to look. I alternate between pink and white french acrylics and plain acrylics with color - normally you can find anyone to do pink and whites but the acrylics with color can be a challenge, especially because I like mine very short so as not to interfer with my work which is done predominately in front of a keyboard. They do a great job here. Great shape, they get the length just right, short but still feminine and square, and they do a great job with the color. They dont let it get sloppy around the edges or the cuticles which gives colored acrylics a really professional classy look. My friends are always surprised to find that these arent my real nails!! Also great price!! I pay $13 + tip for my acrylic fills. Its a few dollars more for pink and whites. Thats a great price for the consistent high quality work believe me!!!! They also offer pedicures and waxing. For waxing however, I would honestly recommend a tech named Anne at a different salon on Barranca and Von Karman in the Sams Club shopping area there (also in irvine). I love Nail's Paradise and will be a loyal customer there for all things related to my hands but Anne at the other salon is great with not only cleaning up eyebrows but giveing them a more defined magazine quality shape too.
