Really loved the job they did on my gel manicure. Also EVERYTHING is autoclaved after each use. I tried the waterless pedicure, not taking any chances after clearing up a little something I picked up somewhere else . I'm a new mom and thought I would take an hour off to relax. I came here to get a long awaited pedicure and long overdue eyebrow wax.I made an appointment but it still seemed like they didn't have enough people I notified the technician that I recently had ingrown toenail surgery and she failed to be gentle and made me bleed. Then I went into the waxing room. I thought it hurt more than usual but ignored it and hoped it was me not being used to it anymore. I couldn't be more wrong. The lady either burned my eyelids or didn't pull off the strip correctly to the point where my eyelids scarred and peeled. Look at photo.I was horrified, makeup didn't cover it. I even contemplated filing charges and wanted to demand to see the wax technician's license. DO NOT COME HERE. Plain and simple. Period.Also they don't allow too via CC. Decent nail place in Irvine. I apparently started this review in 2012, so I've been coming here at least 5 years now. They're pretty average in price (for Irvine, which means more pricey than costa mesa or elsewhere).  I don't do acrylics or anything so just basic mani/pedis (and eyebrows) for me. If you're very picky about your nails, let them know when you make your appointment or walk in and tell them you're willing to wait for an experienced tech. Use yelp check-in for $5 off your $45 or more purchase. I usually get the "classic spa mani/pedi" for $48, use the coupon and get it for $43 + tip. Not terrible at all. Pros: - Some very good nail techs, I still haven't found one that I go to every time, but overall more good than bad just getting a random tech assigned.- Clean - they use the disposable liners for the pedicure foot baths (and also the blue cleaner). They do a good job keeping it sanitary. I'm also paranoid about nail tools and every time I watch like a hawk as they break the seal on fresh clean tools for me. - Dry pedicures - I know some people have a preference for the dry pedicure, and they do it here! I've had it a few times and it's decent. I still prefer the water bath myself. - Great eyebrow tech, I'm seeing Nicole for eyebrows, she's fantastic. - Sometimes alcohol? I have been offered wine and mimosas before. But it does not appear to be an all the time thing. Sporadic. Cons: - Some very bad nail techs too. The good news is the bad ones don't seem to last long.- "Incidents" (bear in mind this is 5 years worth of incidents) - cut cuticles, adding thinner to polish over my requests to just get a different color, and once I was burned (to a blister) by the callous remover on my ankle. In case you're wondering, the techs that actually injured me aren't there anymore. So they do an okay job at quality control. Also FYI though, even the day I got that 3rd degree burn they made me pay for my pedicure. lol what? They gave me a ton of "points" apparently but I have no idea what the points are good for. - You pretty much always have to wait, even with an appointment. Sometimes obscene amounts of time, but lately it has been about 15 min of waiting. Overall, I'm rating it decent. It's my go-to place over anywhere else in Irvine that I've tried. Read Less

I had a great experience here!! I scheduled an appt half an hour before I got there and they were soooo accommodating which was lovely. I quickly picked my nail color and was seated immediately. I went in for a pedicure, and I was only going to do the basic spa one for $25 but I decided to splurge a little with the $35 one. It included a scrub and cuticle remover. Since I never get pedis, I thought why not :)My technician was great. She took the time to paint my nails and really scrub my cuticles away! She offered commentary drinks too which was super sweet.It's been a week and my nails haven't even chipped yet! Such an amazing job, I'll definitely be back! I did a call and walk in and the entire experience was really amazing.Through the phone the manager was super helpful.I went in and was helped immediately. Everyone was nice, friendly, thorough.Jen did my nails and I could see she was being careful. I had a hard time deciding what color and she gave her opinion and also helped me with a design because they didn't have the studs I wanted. The manager checked up from time to time and all the customers in there looked really happy.She also explained the pricing super detailed so everything was clear.I also asked about a facial because I have eczema and super sensitive skin. She told me they use super gentle products and I ended up getting a 45 min session. Jennie explained that she could go easy on my skin and my fake eyelashes would be fine. I have been going to essence nail salon for 4 months now, my last 3 times with Tiffany gel manicure and Hana for my pedicure! They are beyond amazing. My first visit I was a little surprised by the price about $20 more than usual... BUT they lasted well over 3 weeks and looked perfect the Entire time.... never a chip or peal, I do use the more expensive gel there but great value. I love being pampered by them, it is truly and escape and I wake up relaxed and with beautiful nails.... only drawback us cash tips only. Read Less

High priced,lousy job by Ann.. i payed to have gel nails and 3 fixed. The polish is literally peeling off. I had it done on the 18th. Worst job ever.. i dont mind paying more if the job is done well.. i am from out of town and i told her i would not have time to come back..they were nice in there i will give them that but never have i had gel come off the very next day and continue to peel off.
