I love The Nail Spa. Tiffany is soooooooo sweet, fun and great at doing my gel manicure. I don't go anywhere else in Huntington for a gel manicure. It lasts for weeks plus I get a great conversation with her. I love lily as well for my pedicure. By far the best pedicure I get. She leaves me feeling like A queen, with how she takes her time. Michelle is the best manicurist I have ever been to. I have been following Michelle from spa to spa for the past 8 years as she is the best. I have tried other spas closer to my work but have been disappointed every time. Michelle is not only professional but so nice. The other girls at this spa are also very good and polite and clean but I have not tried anyone except Michelle. Services are not the same price as advertised. $15 gel means no manicure just polish change.  Technicians did not want to use my tools and emery board, she didn't want to cut toe nails and only had one chair where they would use a pedicure water liner.  Place is kinda dirty and outdated.  Hoping I don't get an infection, time will tell :-( Read Less

I usually go to a different nail spa close by but they were closed, I was in desperate need of getting my nails done so I googled the next closest place and this one popped up! I am so happy I came here, I will be switching over to this nail salon for a couple of reasons. First of all, Kim and Jessie did my mani/pedi and they were the sweetest ladies and I absolutely appreciated how they welcomed me and paid close attention to every detail. Jessie took care of my ingrown nails, my calluses, and the massage she gave was amazing. Kim talked about life and engaged in conversation with me and also gave an amazing hand and arm massage. A wonderful nail salon!! Came in with my mom on a lazy day off and we had a very relaxing pedicure. The ladies are very friendly and are accommodating to any requests! Great nail salon! They are now under new management and Michelle does an amazing job! She pays attention to detail and is very thorough. Their prices are also very competitive --only $15 for gel ($22 for full cuticle removal/hand massage, ect--well worth it--Michelle does an excellent job). The Nail Spa is under new management.  The new co-owners, Kim and Michelle are amazing!  Michelle has been my manicurist for over 2 years!  She gives the best manicures I have ever had.  Kim is also amazing.  In addition to manicures, Kim does facials and massages.   Annie, another technician, gave me an amazing pedicure.   She made my feet look so pretty!   I highly recommend The Nail Spa, located behind Popeye Chicken, in the Plaza de la Playa, on the corner of Garfield and Beach Blvd, in Huntington Beach.You won't be disappointed! I've been going to Cindy for over 9 years. Never thought to leave a review until now. She is very skilled at what she does. Kim who does my pedicures is also amazing. I've tried other places near by & no one else compares. To be honest the woman that said she wouldn't go back because the salon was closed seriously? Maybe she should've called first. People have lives & emergencies do happen. Also in the time I've been going which is twice a month for 9 years I've never seen them treat anyone of any race differently. I am not impressed with this place at all. Maybe My standards are too high for people to reach, but I think I'm going to just do my own nails from now on. First, she cut my thumb and it bled for about 5 minutes as she tried to hide the fact from me by not letting me look at the little cut. She didn't get all the dirt out from under my nails. Then she didn't buff my nails out before she started painting them and when I pointed it out to her that there were visual bumps in the paint she started clipping my cuticles again... Maybe she's going blind? If so, she ought to wear glasses. As I was leaving I had to ask another lady to give me some fingernail polish remover so that I could get the color off my skin around my nails and there is still dirt under my nails even now. This review is a couple of weeks late for a reason; I don't automatically review nail & hair salons first day because I want to actually live with the results before giving a fully accurate review. I had a little bit of a struggle trying to decide between a 2 or 3 star review, but here's what happened...I came here to get my nails done because I wanted to have a little pampering, which I haven't had for months. I'd seen all the reviews & also came across a coupon in a mailer so I figured, why not?When I showed up around noon, it was pretty empty except for 2 little Asian ladies. One welcomed me in & the other got to work on my nails. Everything was going fine but the one lady that welcomed me in kept on coming over & watching my nails getting done. I think the woman who was doing my nails was somewhat new, but we'll get there...The lady who did my nails, can't remember her name, but we were at the 2nd table from the door, did get pretty aggressive w/ the filing & shaping process, but I tolerated it because that wouldn't be the first time I've had a nail tech get aggressive. It did get pretty uncomfortable at certain points, but she did a relatively good job shaping & filing my natural nails. Fast forward & as you can tell from the first pic, the finished product came out great, although there were a couple nails that were so filed down, the sides where the natural nail was could already be seen. I let that go.Next, I decided to get a pedicure w/the massage & seaweed treatment (?). I haven't had a pedicure in years because the one & only time I did, the girl cut into my nail w/one of the tools so deep that my toe started bleeding & I've had a complex about it ever since. The lady who welcomed me in was the one who did the pedicure & she did a great job! Very attentive, friendly & thorough. I have folliculitis on my lower legs which means my skin is extra sensitive to shaving & breaks out really bad, so she & another nail tech that had just come in gave me some tips on helping calm the skin, which was very much appreciated. However, when everything was finished & I was told my total, I gave them the mailer coupon - it was something like $5 off $30 or more - the one lady who did the pedicure all of a sudden seemed really annoyed & her body language came across as resistant to want to accept it, so she started talking w/the other ladies in her own language about the coupon: I'm assuming out of frustration like "who put ads out for discounts?", but she ended up begrudgingly taking it. At that point, it got pretty uncomfortable... Anyway, as you can see from the last pics, this is the result of almost 3 weeks after getting my nails done. The ones that were already exposed started showing & peeling the fastest, specifically on the thumbs & forefingers. My ring finger nails gave me the most problems & were the most uncomfortable when they came off; left hand now has overlapping white area on the natural nail & the color of my right hand natural nail looks like it's been dieing! As of this review, my pinky & thumb acrylics are only halfway left but superglued on like crazy- I don't go into nail salons anymore to have acrylics removed because it can be unbelievably painful so I try to do it myself, which usually works out fine but not so much in this case. The condition of my natural nails in this case is something I've NEVER seen & I've been getting acrylics since I was 20!It seems all the rave reviews about this place are associated w/a girl named Cindy, who definitely was NOT the one who did my nails & that's why I mentioned earlier that I think the lady who did mine was relatively new to the process which is why she was being constantly watched. If that's the case, me & my nails definitely did not appreciate being one of her guinea pigs! Honestly don't think I'll return to this place for anything other than a spa pedicure & if Cindy is the most consistent, to make sure I get her next time around. Read Less

Definitely a place to check out! My good friend took me there yesterday for my first time and I couldn't be more thrilled with the work Cindy did. She takes pride in her work and socializing with the person she is working with. It's a small place, not exactly an upscale joint and the prices are reasonable. 38 for my nails which isn't that bad, I've paid a little more and wasn't as happy with how my nails turned out. Hidden gem!!! Absolutely love Cindy. She does an amazing job on my pink and white acrylics, the last me three weeks and they still look great. Always takes her time to make sure my nails are perfect. Took my car to HB Toyota for a maintenance and had 2 hours to kill. I decided to Yelp nail salon and this was on top of the list.Called in to check how much their gel nails were and it was the cheapest in the area for $23. I came in and Cindy the owner helped me right away. She took off my previous gel manicure gently which I love unlike other salons who were always rough of them. How Cindy cut and shaped my nails to the perfect square shape was awesome! Best square I've ever had. Our conversation was really nice. She's a hard working single mom of 2 teenagers. She's the 1st nail technician that didn't talk bad about their clients. Bravo..!! I like how she heat up the lotion for the hand massage and added the hot towel. Thank you Cindy for a great time.
