I stopped in for a gel pedicure and ended up getting a gel manicure as well. Tina is so nice and did a great job on my nails. There are tons of gel colors to choose from. I chose a pixie dust glitter for my gel manicure and I've been getting so many compliments. The salon is beautiful and It's super clean. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was packed with ladies getting their nails done for the weekend. I paid $80 plus tip to have my gel remove on toes and finger nails, gel on both including the pixie dust glitter. I think that is reasonable. I just had them done 2 days ago and hey still look great. I'm really disappointed to have to write this review, because I had been a customer of Pink Petals for almost 2 years now. However, during the past year I noticed a pretty stark decline in my experiences there--I always made an appointment, yet I would wait at least 15-30 min to be seated in a chair. Once I sat down, I would then feel like I was being rushed during the services, with the technicians not taking the time to make sure that my nails were the best they could be. This place isn't the cheapest, so it was frustrating to feel that I wasn't getting my money's worth on the quality. The visit that sealed this review, though, was when I came in to get a manicure before going out of town for the weekend for a wedding. I got my nails done on a Friday after work, and I picked an orange polish for my nails overall, with a silver polish for my ring fingers. The next day I drove 3 hours to get to the wedding. As I'm sitting waiting for the wedding to start, I notice that THREE of my nails are starting to peel...not chip, but PEEL, from the sides. Clearly the orange polish was watered down, because by Sunday 8 of my nails were peeling, and the only ones staying in place were the silver ones. I called Pink Petals first thing Monday morning when I returned from the wedding, because it had only been 3 days since my gel manicure, and this should not have been happening. I asked to come in after work that day to have my polish fixed, since I paid for a gel manicure and it was already falling apart. They said they couldn't fit me in that day, but I could come Tuesday. Ok, great. By Tuesday 4 of my nails were completely bare, and I was happy I was going to get them fixed. However, instead I showed up to my appointment, waited almost 30 minutes to be seen (I didn't even need a spa chair, I was waiting for a spot at the manicure counter), and the technician that did my polish change sped through removing what was left of the polish so fast. She didn't want to wait for the acetone to sit and do its work under the foil, so she decided to just file it off! She ended up taking the skin on the tops of my cuticles off with it. Even when I told her it hurt and to please stop, she kept saying "Just one more minute, it's almost done." It took over a week for all the painful scrapes to heal. Then, she repainted my nails in a rush, barely letting them dry in between coats. There were bubbles on 3 of my fingers when I got home. But she still did work on me, and I stopped at the front desk to leave her a tip, trying to be a nice person. That's when the receptionist told me I owed them $20 for a polish change! WTF?? I explained to her the situation and told her I had spoken to the manager on the phone when I made my appointment. She responded that he told her it was my responsibility to pay, that it wasn't their fault the gel didn't last more than a day, and I owed them the money. Shocked, I paid and left. Definitely never coming back here. $40 for a gel manicure that lasts 2 days is hardly worth it. And then $20 to fix it?? They're insane.Also, fun fact: their license expired a year ago, which makes me very suspicious of what else they're not doing properly there. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Read Less

First wanted to say that I've never written a review for anything before but I felt pretty inclined to write one after my experience today. Before coming here I never had a regular nail salon that I attended but I enjoyed this salon so much that I've been regularly attending since just about when they started. But today I went in to get a regular pedicure (no gel) and I even asked the host for the $25 regular pedicure. When I got done and was ready to pay they told me my charge was $45, which didn't make sense. I asked them why and they told me because I had gotten a gel pedicure. I KNOW I did not get a gel pedicure. The gel machine was not used on my toes, I grabbed a color from the regular polish collection not the gel polish collection, and my nail lady even told me to sit and wait when she was done to give time for my nails to dry. I told them that I had not gotten a gel pedicure so two different people at two different times went back to ask about my pedicure and they both told me that I did get a gel pedicure. When I got in the car I touched the side of one of my nails and the polish was till wet. I felt like I was rushed to pay and wasn't even listened to when I tried to explain that I didn't get gel. I'm very tight on money at the moment and can't get my nails done as often as I used to be able to so I was excited that I had money to get one today and relax after a long work week. Instead I ended up leaving stressed and having to pay double for what I went in for (and asked the host for). I only had money for a regular polish so obviously that's what I went in for and wouldn't ask for gel which is more expensive. It seemed like they were trying to get more money out of me which saddens me, especially because I've been supporting them since the very beginning. I have also noticed that the quality of my pedicures/manicures isn't as good as they used to be at this place. Going to take my business elsewhere. :( Read Less

Not very impressed with this place. The only reason I'm giving it a two stars is being of the nice front desk and scented scrubs they use. Besides that the employees are not friendly and rude. They also don't have many gel colors to choose from. Went here once before and didn't did an ok job so I tried them again. The lady that did my fill was rough and definitely did not want to be there. I'll be going to my normal nail salon (Polished Bar in Orange) from now on. Read Less

I love the hospitality of this place. I came in when they opened before it got too busy on a Saturday morning. They were able to sit me down within 5-10 min. I found the color I was looking for after changing my mind a couple of times. Mia was my nail tech and she did a great job. Right when she thought I was done she noticed something wrong and didn't rush through. I usually don't make appointments because 1) I get my nails done on my day off and 2) I live in Orange so this place is far for me. So I walked in and was greeted at their super cute reception area, asked what service I was here for, and they set me up right away! I didn't get a pedicure this time around (3 weeks regular polish, no chips!) but went for a gel manicure. Gel manicures cost $30, special effects cost $15 more (under "Gel Polish with Services" on their price list). Since I didn't do a pedi, why not? My bestie did a pedi and since they were not busy I was allowed to sit next to her in the massage chairs. They have separate areas for manicures (a bar) and pedicures (massage chairs). One thing I REALLY loved was that it didn't smell like chemicals. There was a fresh, fruity scent going on and it wasn't overbearing or hiding any odors. Even the restroom was spotless! The whole place just screams R&R and elegance with the wallpaper and the orchids. I didn't get the name of my nail tech unfortunately, but after a quick cuticle touch up (with a BRAND NEW BAG of tools) she worked really hard to apply 3 coats of gel and the chrome powder. Took about 30-45 minutes total (she had the dark reddish shoulder-length hair and was wearing a navy minidress on 7/24). Best part is, they make good conversation! Wasn't awkward or forced; just good, casual conversation. When I was done, and since my bestie did the deluxe pedi, I did a 10 min massage on the chair before we paid with the blonde gal up front. The whole experience was streamlined and I can't wait to go back for MY deluxe pedi! Read Less

I am so happy with my nails! Winnie did such a great job fixing my crooked, uneven nails from the previous work of another technician. Winnie paid close attention to details so it took longer than usual and there was another person waiting for her, but nevertheless she still took her time with my nails. L0ve  how "Leyna" #1 dedicates time on my Nails all the time very happy and satisfied with her job always smiling and NO!! Attitude if i don't like how my nails look she always ask me if they look ok. Today I tried the new SNS Nails powder looks very natural nail. I love when Leyna does Gel Nails very natural "not the gel color". I will never return to this place, but the only reason they get 2 stars and not 1 is because my friend has consistently been here and generally always has a good experience. She also joined me for my first experience, and I witnessed a polarity between her pedicure and mine. Unfortunately, I got the short end of the stick.To start, we waited about 10 minutes in our seats before we were tended to. Long enough to have the water my feet were soaking in grow tepid. Okay, this is minor in the long run, but my experience kept getting worse from there.The woman who did my pedicure was Michelle. I don't normally like to name drop but in this case I feel it is warranted. She hurried everything about my pedicure to the point where my friend's pedicure started before me, but my pedicure was done about 5 min before hers. It started with her skimping on the base coat before applying polish. Then, as she was putting polish she went so fast and dabbed it on rather than the usual long strokes normal people do. I have some parts of my toenails not even painted. It was almost comedic to see her go so obviously fast and wasn't even trying to hide it! I thought, is this for real? At the end she put my sandals on and left without cleaning the polish around the toes on my skin. As I sat there shocked that this is what I paid for, I witnessed my friend's nail lady take her time performing quality work and did to my friend what wasn't done to me. In addition to her sub par work, during the nail cutting process she was a little too aggressive with trimming the side of my nail on my big toe, and I had to tell her to stop because it was hurting. These people need to realize you can get an ingrown toe nail or infected toe by improperly pulling the corners of the nail or yanking on it when it should otherwise be left alone. Perhaps me speaking up is what peeved her and that's when she decided to cut corners on me.You'll notice in all the low star reviews a common theme of being rushed is mentioned, so you'll know I'm not an isolated incident.
