These girls are perfectionist and in the best way. Nicole is super sweet and helped me so much! I had a broken thumb nail and she fixed it for me and really took the time for my color and shaping. I don't use acrylics so i want my real nails to look as "perfect" and clean as they can. She also gave me a good recommendation for another color, based off my liking of neutrals. The ladies working were cool. Time they took with the services on my cousin and her friend was about 25 minutes or so. It was fairly long to get it done with a couple people behind us. I love this place! It was suggested by a friend and I'll never go anywhere else. There have been a few times when I wasn't completely satisfied but Nicole always corrected anything I asked her to free of cost. I've been coming to this Happy Nails salon for about 3 years maybe more and I love it! Nicole is my go to girl for my nails bc she takes her time, shapes my nails perfectly! Everyone here does a great job, and I often see some of the same people when I come in- They never charge extra for any designs or different colors on different nails, if I break a nail, I can come in to fix- no additional charge.  Nicole keeps up with updating color choices and different finishes- for trendy nails and I even saw a vegan friendly display of nail polishes just the other day. I enjoy all the girls & Kevin that work here, they are very friendly and say hello even if you're not their client. I get compliments on my nails every day- even when it's time for a fill or polish change- and I always recommend this salon to my clients & friends. I've been coming to this nail salon for 11 years. The girls are very accommodating and friendly. I get gel and pedicure when I come in. The selection of colors are endless. For me the brighter the color the better :) I started bringing in all my friends. We all don't live nearby but we make it a point to make it out to Happy Nails for a girls day out. Your search stops here!The Happy Nails and Spa off Adams and Brookhurst (on the NE corner near Starbucks) is clean and timely! *Be realistic though, ladies & gentlemen --- Don't walk in without an appointment on a Saturday/weekend and expect to be in and out without a wait.* I've had acrylics since the 90s, gels for the last 10 years, and recently returned to acrylics. I am  and have always been extremely picky with my nails (and toes) and trust ONLY Nicole to create my current classic, squared-up acrylic pink and white look. She's a rockstar, she loves what she does, and it shows through her work. Though, she's the not the only talented person in the shop... I've been a client at this location for about 4 years. Nicole: She runs the ship. She's who you want to talk to if you have any questions. She will choose the perfect technician for you, whether you need your nails done or an esthetician. She'll take care of you. Most of them will. If you have an issue with your service - Don't be afraid to SPEAK UP. If you are having a hard time communicating with your tech, ask her or whoever is up at the front desk and they will fix it for you! You will be in very good hands if you're with: Kim, Nancy, or Lily - Kim will give you the one of the best pedis you've ever had in your life. She's quiet, sweet, and will use your toes as tiny, little canvasses for her floral creations. Nancy and Lily are so fun and loving... once you get to know them, it's like having your nails done with your girlfriends. And they'll rock your gels to last up to 3 weeks. I absolutely adore these ladies. (I even have a note in my phone with all of their days off so I know who to schedule with based on my/their availability. Seriously.)Look, you have a lot of choices in the area... Yes, this shop may look the same as some of the others - a full house of tiny beautiful Vietnamese/Asian ladies - but this shop is different. They don't like to rush people in and out like some sort of nail and spa machine. You are welcomed and treated well. You are offered water, refreshments, and sometimes even champagne (when available and if you're 21). When someone tells you the wait will be 10 minutes, it will be 10 minutes... While the technicians are very friendly and the salon appears very clean, I recently came down with a severe skin rash on my legs. I've now had the rash for over 2 weeks (and it is continuing to spread), after getting a pedicure at Happy Nails. I have visited 3 doctors since then, and am currently awaiting biopsy results. My doctors told me I contracted a bacterial infection from the foot baths used at the nail salon :( This was my 1st time visiting this salon for a pedicure and I get frequent pedicures from other salons where I've never had this reaction.I recommend skipping the foot bath part of a pedicure at any salon and just getting the paint job. I come to this place because the dentist that I love is right next door. I can't say that I "love" this place that much, or that I would go out of my way to come here either. The 6 times or so I've been here, haven't been the greatest.  I mean, that is to say, each & every time, something goes wrong. Yet, I still go there, for convenience purposes. Today, I went there because my bf was next door at the dentist.  During the time I was there, I requested that a French gel manicure, & a pedicure, at the same time.  Things were great until the lady doing my toes finished & I realized that I had paint all over my skin.  I mean, literally on my skin, & it was blue.I asked the lady doing my French gel manicure (who is pretty good, by the way), to take a look.  She shook her head & attempted to "clean up" the nail polish all over my toes.  I will be posting a picture of my toes, after it was allegedly "cleaned up".  It is horrible, as you will see.  For that reason & many of the times prior to, I cannot say this place deserves more than 2 stars. Everyone that works here is kind. The price is fair and the work completed is great. Everytime I come here there is no wait. Great color choices too. Clean facility. Close to home. Love this place. They have electric massage chairs to use during your pedi. They massage your legs, feet, arms, and hands during their mani pedi process. They also use a warm oil lotion combo during the massage. Most places I've been to will upsale these types of things as "deluxe" but it's included in their package at no extra cost. A plain mani pedi is 30. For a gel mani and regular pedi it's 50.
