Let me start by saying I've been getting my nails done for 12 years and have NEVER left a nail salon so upset with the service and lack of education and talent this woman had. Unbelievable. I came here with BEAUTIFUL nails asking for a gel manicure. I was given the option to do "dip" powder so I said sure why not. The lady doing my nails was rushing so fast, it looked so HORRIBLE. When she was finished, my nails were so chunky & so uneven!!! With gel polish on my cuticles & skin. So I asked her to file them down and she snatched my hand and SIGHED and was giving me attitude. Told me "your nails are SO short that's why" mind you, she shaped my nails so ugly & uneven too! When she was filing them down, she cut my cuticle so I was bleeding (rushing and being rude) Final result after using a tool to buff them down... the gel polish is SO thick and bumpy! All of my nails are uneven. I'm so disappointed. I'm so mad that my nails look this way! They've never looked so crappy! I've been coming here for almost 4 years!They've always done a really great jobSusan is my go to girl. I'm just a simple gel manicure every two weeks kinda girl and she always does a great job. I'm a hair stylist, I work with my hands and have them in water all day every day, so if someone doesn't do a great job it becomes clear pretty quickly with chipping and lifting and what not but I never have that problem here. Susan is super detail oriented, as am I, and she always makes sure my nails are filed perfectly as I like them!The rest of the team is all really nice as well and always makes an effort to say hello to me which is always nice! I've gone to almost every nail salon in the area, Biotone is my favorite!  Great pedicures, manicures and every other service they provide.  They stand behind their quality, when I have received gel manicures, they give you a seven day warranty for anything! Biotone is an excellent place to get your nails done.  They have ample parking, easy reservation, tiny waters, and a very attentive staff. I got a SNS powder manicure from Kimberly who was very sweet and attentive, and a deluxe pedicure (from someone I didn't get the name) and both services were fantastic. Bonus tip- make sure you get a pedicure that comes with the Dremel skin removal. I was a little scarred when the Dremel came out since I use this to trim my dog's nails and I know how powerful it is, but it is hands down the most effective callous and dead skin removal I have ever seen! And its painless! My heels feel baby smooth. I also tried the powder manicure for the first time and it came out amazing. I love that the powder coats your natural nails without the curing process. Its been a week and I still catch myself admiring the handiwork ;) I admired the quality of the staff especially given that most are new to this country, yet they are such smart, funny, and resilient women. And so fashionable! I felt a little under-dressed. Lol. Sometimes you don't need to go on a fancy vacation to relax, but just connecting with Kimberly and the other gals for an hour was enough to recharge me.  I love nail salons that have a fun atmosphere and you can definitely see a sisterhood bond here. We chatted and share a lot of laughs about Socal, motherhood, family, shopping, exotic fruits- you name it- and I had a great time. Its true that the staff speaks in Vietnamese, but do not be discourage by the language barrier. Everyone there is very sweet and hardworking, and they are not speaking ill about the clients. In fact, half of the clients are Vietnamese! I will say that the Vietnamese culture is not serious and instead is filled with laughs and witty banter which I can understand may be a little uncomfortable for someone who isn't used to that, but my advice would be to join the fun and do it often.  If you come in with positive vibes and communicate or bring pictures, you will have a great time and beautiful nails. Quite a holiday experience, treating myself to getting nails done while technician is coughing all over my fingers. Stopped in for basic mani/pedi. Short wait and was in and out within 45 min but horrible job on both. Toes were smeared and had cotton dried onto nails. Would not recommend. Also, very strong chemical smells. Read Less

I've never had a bad experience up until my last visit. Went in for a mani and pedi. I wanted the same color for my hands and feet. I was given two different colors. I like this place. I've been going here for about a year now and have never made an appointment because they take walk-ins. The wait time has never been more than 15-20 minutes at best.  They're always very busy.  Very friendly staff and they do a really nice job on gel nails and pretty decent pedicures too. Came to this nail salon because I desperately needed my nails done on a Sunday and I'm glad I found this gem! Everything is reasonably priced. I'm not a huge fan of acrylics so I got a regular polish manicure and it was perfect. They are all very sweet and welcoming and have so many colors to choose, from gel to regular polish. I've gotten my nails done here three times, the first time I went in to get a fill and I got a regular gel color I was very happy with my nails shape/color the gel lasted a good 3 weeks! Second time around I came to get a new set and removal of my old nails. The lady at the greeting stand said they could do the design I wanted (I showed her a specific picture) she said it would be a couple minutes before they could start working on my nails, thankfully I only waited for 2 minutes. As I went back to my assigned nail technician I noticed it was a different lady than the one I had gotten before I did not mind I figured they're all professionals and know what they are doing. I did not like the way they remove acrylics it hurts when they pull them out and it lifts up tissue from my natural nails, I noticed they were thin so I figured that'd be last set before I gave my nails a break from acrylics. Everything was going smoothly until the time came around for her to put color on my nails. Throughout the whole time I noticed her talking to her coworkers about a base color and a glitter (I wasn't too sure what they were saying) she kept asking me to show her the picture she had to see it at least 5 times before she brought chrome colors, and chrome had nothing to do with what I wanted. The picture clearly showed silver glitter. That is what I wanted. Silver glitter. I kindly asked my nail technician if she could show me the samples they had because my good friend had gone earlier to get her nails done and sent me a picture of their options and they had exactly what I wanted! The lady that was doing my nails completely ignored my request and kept going back and forth around the whole place trying to find a a color. First she showed me a pink undertone glitter! That was way off. I asked her one more time if she could just kindly show me their samples, she then explained that in order for her to get the color I wanted she had to do a black coat under so that the glitter could come out the way I wanted. It made sense at the time so I let her paint my nails black. She then disappeared for 2 minutes trying to find the glitter. Finally I chose the glitter because she obviously didn't know what she was doing nor was she listening to my requests. I have gotten chrome nails before and let me tell you. She let the gel dry for too long so the material wasn't able to stick to my nails! Overall it was a mess and I was irritated. I did not want to be rude I am literally the nicest person ever. I let her continue doing what she was doing although it was nowhere close to what I envisioned. She was nervous too I did no want to add pressure to her but why go through all that trouble she could have just said she didn't know, I would have chosen a gel color. It could've been so simple. Afterward I went up to the little stand where you pay, and the lady clearly saw it wasn't cute so she said "chrome is usually $45 but I'll charge you $30...... like I didn't even get chrome nails? What I got that day was not chrome. It came out looking cool but I was so irritated at the fact that my nail lady didn't listen to me and the lady at the stand tried to fool me too. I was at a loss for words. I left feeling very disappointed. After that day I told myself I wouldn't go back. Today I had my cousin come over down from LA she wanted to have a girls day and go on a mani/pedi date, I also needed to take the acrylics I had gotten from the time before off. My good friend and I decided to take my cousin from out of town to biotone, I figured they wouldn't mess up this time since I was just getting a simple gel manicure. We got there, as always got sat within seconds. Again they used that pulling technique on my nails which was the worst idea ever they tore off part of my nail and was very painful. My nail technician said my nails were very thin and I needed some special coat so my nails wouldn't break she added the coat and everything went smoothly, again we had an issue with the color I wanted but I ended up finding another color I liked.  My cousin went for the 25 minute pedicure massage she said her nail technician was very lazy and didn't do a good job she rushed everything and looked like she was forced to do her toe nails, I wanted my cousin to have a good experience but she did not have one. I got charged $35 for a gel manicure and that special coat. My friend payed $25 for a regular gel manicure. Overall my experience(s) at biotone have not left me pleased. Read Less

Biotone is by far my favorite nail salon. I've been coming here religiously for about 2 years and they never disappoint! I usually come as a walk in and will take whoever is available because everyone does a good job but on occasion I'll make an appointment with Tracy if I need something specific done because she's the best. I'm very annoying and picky when it comes to my nails but everyone is understanding of that lol. Their manager Loan is the sweetest and always super attentive! She always makes sure you're happy with your nails at the end of the visit.If you're like me and have calluses on your feet then you have to give this place a try. So my gf and I came in at 6pm on a Tuesday night and it was packed which is always a good sign. Its my first time in a long time to get a full set because I am extremely picky with full sets and technicians that can do them correctly. I got full set with gel mani and biotone spa pedi with gel. Full set: 4/5Lauren was a sweetie. She talks to you to make you feel comfortable and is very accommodating to the style you want or color you want. I wanted a natural coffin style full set and that is exactly what she gave me. She also asked me constantly if I was okay and if it was how I wanted it. Overall, the set turned out well. There was my index finger on the right side which wasnt filed evenly and my pinky which is a little bit thicker compared to the other fingers. My left thumb bothers me a bit because the acrylic was put further away from cuticle and that certain one is a little bit streakier than the others. This is probably because of the gel itself so i dont blame her. I would recommend Lauren for those looking for full sets. Gel pedi with biotone spa package: 4/5I didnt catch the technicians name but she was a little bit more shy and timid. She did a pretty good job considering that my feet are pieces of work because I wear heels all day. The paint job could use improvement overall. Certain parts were missed on the side and such and the streaks on the left big toe looks almost like regular paint smudged. But its not bad enough that I wouldnt go back. She did take her time to make sure that cuticles were cut and cleaned and gave a much needed mini massage. Overall, positive experience. So disappointed. I don't even know where to start. First I thought this place was just great. And then the service just gets worse and worse. I got gems on my nails and within 4 hours they BOTH CAME OFF. As you can see in the pictures.Last time I came a girl ripped off my entire nail and after I said something I STILL WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE. I Heart My Nails! Their customer service is great, I  really enjoy my time there. They are clean and efficient. Fast service but they don't skip on quality. I will say the basic pedi is basic no frills but at the price of  $15 you cant beat it and my polish stays for easily 3 weeks.  Jasmine is very creative and great with designs.  Usually cost $40 for basic pedi and gel manicure (no designs) They are very busy if you don't make an appointment you may wait but they are realistic with the time...if they 15 minutes usually you sit with in 10 minutes. **Basic Pedicure $15, Gel Manicure $25 ( designs about $2-$3 per nail) Read Less

Every now and then I decide to cheat on my usual nail spa.  I get bored quickly and like to explore new talent.  I am beyond picky with my gel manis.  It has to look natural and not like I have layers of color slapped onto my nails.   Good nail techs are a dime a dozen.  So I stumbled upon another gem.  Biotone Nails is located in the same plaza with Mitasie, Pet Smart, and Michaels.  I came in without an appointment on a random weekday.  They were busy but, I was lucky enough to be seated immediately.  I believe it was the owner that greeted me.  Staff seem pleasant and friendly.  I was serviced by a fairly good nail tech.  Not sure of her name. The manicure was excellent.  The gel coats were smooth.  My only complaint is that it was a bit thick. That's a no no for me.  All in all I was still happy with my pamper day.  I would return for gel manis if in the area! Read Less

*** updated review from 3 stars to 1 star *** I go in to get my broken nail fixed. The woman at the front tries to tell me they only guarantee gel polish for one week- not broken nails. I have been getting acrylics for years and have never had one nail break the same night- let alone two hours- after getting a fill. I am astonished by her attempt to  make me feel lucky for receiving minimum quality service ("I won't charge you this time, but..."). To top it all off they used the wrong shade so now I have one distinctly different nail (see photo). They have such an amazing selection of polishes here so I am saddened that I will NOT EVER BE RETURNING.Old review below. ---- I know they have holographic polish here so I came to get a fill with that. Unfortunately the holographic polish turned out inconsistent, about half my nails came out too light and do not have the full effect- not happy about paying extra for something that doesn't even turn out. Secondly, I asked for a nail to be made more narrow. This also did not turn out as that nail is wider than the rest. Lastly, a nail broke the same evening that I got this fill. This is ridiculous and I will not be returning except to ask for the nail to be fixed. What I do like about this place is that the facilities are clean and well maintained and everyone is friendly. I am a very picky person when it comes to my nails. I really enjoyed my experience here! I was referred to this place by a friend of mine. I had a gel mani done by Kim. She was so sweet and had so much patience with me. I chose a baby pink color and I asked for gold foil, but changed it last minute to nude and marble nails. She takes off mu cuticles slowly making sure not to hurt me because I get so sour if they cut me! I typically just ask them to push my cuticles back instead of trimming them, but I am convinced I can trust Kim! I do recommend making an appointment as they seem to get busy. I came 1pm on a Thursday thinking the everyone has school or work... they were busy! Good thing I made an appointment. They have a huge gel color selection. 4 days ago I went here for a fill. I don't know what happened but my nails are so hideous. The gel peeled and my nails look so gross! They stuck me with a lady in the very back left corner table. My nail girl was the fastest nail lady I've ever had. Great and all but I definitely felt rushed. Obviously my nails got the short end of the stick. Im unsure what type of products they are using but clearly the are subpar. Now I'm stuck all week at work with these nasty things until my next day off so I can go elsewhere to get them fixed. I'm a very honest person I wouldn't go on Yelp to leave a review unless I was truly disappointed with the service I paid for. I have been getting my nails done for so many years this was by far the biggest let down. I attached pics of when I first got the filled 4 days ago and a pic today of what they currently look like. Across the street from Bella Terra, in the same plaza as Nordstrom Rack!I've gone twice now and have been pleased each time.  Making an appointment is easy, and they've taken me on short notice each time.  It's $25 for gel mani and 2 designs for $7.  Depending on the design it may even go up to $10 for 2.  Matte is also an additional $5.  All the nail techs are super friendly and quick!  The first time I got my nails done they lasted over 2 weeks and honestly could have gone longer if I wasn't impatient for change.Definitely recommend! Needed a new nail salon and my coworker recommended Biotone so here I was!My best friend tried Biotone first and her full set came out looking really pretty so I was excited to have mine done again. It wasn't busy and the receptionist, who spoke fluent English, helped me right away. My best friend was coming back for a fill and wasn't there yet so the receptionist gave me rings of colors to choose from as I wait. What I love was their options of colors! I was definitely entertained. Friend came and we were seated.Kathy was the one who helped me. I wanted pink and white ombré gel coffin-shaped acrylics and showed her a picture from their Biotone instagram page. She said they used powder for ombré, but can do it with gel for me. Kathy was very gentle and nice to talk to during the process. She would make funny comments here and there and give suggestions of cute colors I should get when I come back. Her filing wasn't rough and the shape was nicely done.I wanted color #208 (dark pinkish) to be the base so Kathy did just that. However, the hard part was creating the ombré. There were some issues where it wasn't working out, but other technicians stepped in to help her out. Everything worked out in the end and my nails were cute again, yay!Thanks Kathy! Where to begin? They ripped me off without a care. I got a full set, first time customer. 24 hrs later my $80 3D Artwork fell off, then 3 days later my nails started popping off. I went in with my receipt, they pushed me under the rug. Treated me very poorly. They saw that I was a mother and pregnant too, so to get my nails done was really a treat for me... My favorite nail joint for three years now. Love me some Eda on the feet and Vivi on my nails. The upgrades are better since new ownership but not as clean as they used to be. It's clean, but not AS clean as it was when it was Lindas Nail Spa. Ladies are nice and friendly but more chatty than before. Besides my two little complaints, this is the best nail salon in HB.
