I was excited to see they carry a few chrome powders while sorting through the color samples. Asked for the light blue-green-purple colorshift chrome (which bumps a gel pedicure up to $55). I assumed all chromes go over black base but he told me the one I asked for was a red base. I looked at the underside of the example nail and he was right. However after he had applied the powder on two of my nails, I could tell it wasn't the right one. It's more of a copper-orange-purple shift that might have hints of light yellow-green in certain light. I work in the service industry (I get it, mistakes happen, no biggie if it gets fixed) and didn't want to be a jerk about it but I pointed out and he argued with me that it was the right one. Said something about the chrome labels, but the example nails weren't labeled and it is very obviously not what I asked for. The color I got was the one next to the sample I had actually picked (and I pointed to the color I wanted a couple times because every time I did, he seemed to be confused or distracted or unsure of which one). I didn't want to throw a fit so I dropped it, but it is a little frustrating that (especially after paying a premium for the service), when holding the sample up to my nail and showing which one I said I wanted, rather than admitting a mistake and fixing the two nails he had applied powder to already, he just doubled down and told me I was wrong, and then completed the set in the wrong powder. Overall, the chrome looks pretty, however he didn't brush off the loose powder before sealing with a topcoat. There wasn't a ton of it, so it doesn't look too bad, but using a fan brush to remove the excess powder keeps it from looking sparkly, as opposed to mirrored/chrome (again, if you're charging significantly more for this service you should know this). The foot scrub was focused mainly on the arch, which is not really where most people build calluses. And that hurt more than a bit. And there are points on the corners of some of my toenails that I'm going to have to file down because the gel was dragged out a bit off the edge of my nail and cured that way (I should also note that he didn't cap my nails with polish either - but I'm not sure if you're supposed to with gel so maybe that's fine, idk). ** I do want to note that there's a possibility that maybe my tech has some degree of color-blindness that made it look like the two were the same color. It theoretically wouldn't affect the ability to do the job correctly, however if that's the case, samples should be clearly labeled and whoever is managing things should know that. But it felt more to me like not wanting to admit a mistake. And we also waited around 25 minutes in the foot baths before anything got started, after booking an appointment earlier that day for a specific time. Read Less
