Eyebrow waxing and manicures + pedicures are perfect! Takes less than two minutes for eyebrows and short waiting time for nails! This place looks great as soon as you walk in, they took me in 45 mins before closing for a mani & pedicure w/ gel. However; their nail procedures weren't great. 2 different workers did my pedicure one was barely learning and the other was okay. They didn't end up doing each foot alike. I've been coming here for years for my pedis. I've always left happy no complaints. The staff has always been friendly and the establishment is clean. This place is just HORRIBLE!!!! Seriously SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!! Very unprofessional and bad costumer service. Went to get a full set and the lady who sits by the clippers board where you write your name, did the most awful job.. while fighting with her co-workers in front of costumers! (I'm talking about yelling at each other!) Then 2 days later 1 nail started coming off so I came back so she could fix it, while waiting a young girl in front of me was complaining about how bad her nails were hurting and said that the lady removed her previous nails but kid scissors! When it was my turn she replied that she couldn't fix it that she could only GLUE IT BACK! And she did! She seriously put nail glue and stuck it back together. At that point I couldn't take it anymore and left to get them fixed elsewhere. Waist of my time and money, NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!! I came in today in a absolute rush. Walked into a busy Saturday, Minh and Lisa were awesome! They painted my nails very quickly and have given me awesome service. MInh gave me the best pedicure just the way i wanted and made sure she had my French tips looking the way that I liked. I would def recommend this place as Its a perfect location. I've been here several times now and I must say, I do enjoy the Nume Spa! I've had a full set and mani pedi's done here and to be honest I am not the biggest fan of the full set here. I notice when I get a full set my nails pop off super fast, perhaps a stronger glue is needed. The times I have gotten a full set it was beautiful, they paid extra attention to make sure each nail was even with the next, especially Lynn. The paint job was quite nice as well. Now, the mani pedis. Personally I think The Nume Spa has very decent pricing, I just went in today to get a mani pedi and I received a very relaxing massage of my legs and feet as well as hot stones rubbed on me and a hot towel treatment. I especially appreciated my manicure today, I didn't catch her name but my manicurist was a younger looking woman with long light brown/blonde hair. I have sensitive cuticles and often times when I get my nails done at other nail shops I am cut on almost every finger or the skin is just rubbed raw and it hurts for hours after; here I didn't have a single nail that was in pain! I also accidentally hit my pinky inside the machine after she had painted my nails and she noticed it was off and she noticed, quickly fixing it for me. Embarrassed, I had apologized and she smiled and patted me and replied, "oh no no no it's no worries!" I felt very comfortable here. The service is great, I do recommend calling ahead if you're coming in during their late afternoon hours as it does get fairly busy. I came at about 11 am today and I was seen right away with no problems. Very nice service and a large selection of nail polishes. By far one of my favorite places for mani pedis. Read Less

I was looking for another salon that I had reviewed on yelp but had a hard time finding it and I ended up here. I needed a gel manicure and had just had my acrylic taken off. While she was filing my nails she used this tool that was literally burning me, I told her a few times to not do it and she said "shh it's okay". I felt like getting up and walking out but I stayed. Overall the manicure itself was okay. She took more time painting my nails than anything, I was getting so anxious. By the bad reviews i wAs skeptical ,almost made me not want to waist my money ( as i have my go to spot in fremont i can trust ill be happy to pay) but i needed something open and close to my sons school ( mommy on a mission) i called Lynn answered the phone and said she can take me in 20 minutes for a gel manicure and I was thankful parked & waited  to be seated and I was very very pleased with my service and so thankful that I took a chance  ,Lynn was amazing we had a full conversation the whole time even her partner who was helping out Lona was sweet as ever Lynn manages this place it seems she does it all !!!anyone can  be understanding when they have been in the service industry myself as being a hairdresser knows how it feels whom would like to accommodate as many people as you can sometimes people need just a little bit of patience and it will go along way I could see that she was double booked and even though I was on a time crunch knowing and understanding is amazing lona stepped in and helped when needed and everything went smoothly and I'm very happy with my gel manicure and when need of a back up spot I will definitely come back here and ask for Lynn very knowledgeable and awesome to talk to you thank you ladies! If I could give this zero stars I would. They are so impatient and don't do their job the way they should. I tried this place out because it looked nice and it's local but I came out of there frustrated and regretting ever going in there in the first time. I specifically told her that I wanted my nails longer but she did not listen to what I wanted after I told her multiple times what I wanted and left them very short. They are very unprofessional. My experience here was pretty good.  It's  been one week and my nail paint has lasted, on a regular $15 manicure. Great service.  However, I do think the paint could have been applied a little better.  But I am so impressed with the fact that my nongel nailpolish lasted about a week and it still looks pretty good. I went here for a pedicure and manicure with my hubby, sister in law and our kids. The ladies here are the friendliest I have ever come across in a nail shop. My hubby was super nervous about getting his first pedi but the nail tech made him feel very comfortable which I am extremely grateful for. The adults got the got the Spa Experience Pedicure which is $40. The pedicure itself was very relaxing and the waxes, massage and rocks were very nice. The manicure I got was the Essential Manicure for $15 which was nice as well. As far as the polish it wasn't a horrible job but I have had a better done before. It definitely wasn't overly sloppy but there were a few streaks and slight gaps at my nail beds that I noticed when I got home. My toes seem to be pained fine. Both my nails and my toes were pained by the same tech so I'm not really sure why the inconstancy. Other than the polish my biggest complaint is that the pedi chairs are a bit worn in the head area and that they do not use the bags that line the tubs. That's a big deal for me as I'd like to be as sanitary as possible. They do however clean out the tubs after each use. The disposable bags are just my personal preference.  My hubby really liked that you could have a complimentary glass of wine while getting your nails done. I also liked that they have a menu of all their services that explain exactly which each one includes. Other nail shops I have been to have been to are normally not this clear and have a basic pedi and a deluxe but don't really explain the difference. Got a pedi and it came out so nice. But when I wanted to change the color the lady got mad. She only painted 1 toe it's not like she painted all of them. Had my lashes here done 3 times. And nails done once Lashes, definitely 1 star, it was messy she didn't allow it to dry when I left and I had glue on my lower lid, I came back and she removed the glue with nail polish remover. And yes it did sting. She also said that nail polish remover is exactly what they use when They remove the hard glue for lashes. Nails, 1 star the shape was very very bulky, she didn't cut my cuticle skin, and she took 4 personal calls during my manicure. Oh and don't bother with an appointment they never adhere to it. Got my lashes done there this morning by Lynn. I had an appointment at 11am. I arrived at 1050 and was finally seated at 1130.  Then Lynn went and finished her other client (manicure).  So I waited in the room an additional 15 minutes.  LYNN came in the room, I asked if she washed her hands and she left to wash her hands.  GROSS right? Doesn't end there, then she comes in to do the lashes. NOW LADIES IF YOUR EYES WATER SHE IS NOT THE ONE TO GO TO FOR YOUR LASHES. She doesn't wipe your eyes at all she let's them water so essentially you're getting the lash glue IN YOUR EYES.  Then with your eyes watering it's hard for the glue to adhere to the lashes.  So she piles a TON of glue on your wet lashes.  On top of that she's also very messy with the glue.  I had glue on my lower eye lashes, she also managed to get glue in my hair around my forehead. And she also got my hair caught in the fan as she was trying to dry her mess on my lashes and face.  So with the excess glue she left under my eye I refused to leave until it was cleaned off, so kind sweet LYNN used NAIL POLISH remover on a qtip to remove the glue. It stung and didn't even remove everything. btw  nail polish remover is extremely harsh on the face. I don't understand how that's regulated for her to use that  on clients FACES.Do yourself a favor and don't go here there's an awesome place on 17th st in Oakland that's worth your money.  LYNN doesn't care and she lies.Btw this place does not use soft glue, she may tell you it's soft glue but I know the difference once it sets. They couldn't even apply nail polish to my nails. I had to leave.  The manager is extremely rude, she hit her nail tech after she saw that she couldn't apply nail polish. My normal nail place closes at 7 pm but I was in desperate need for a pedi so I came to nume since they are open until 8 pm ( one star for that). The lady who did my pedi was nice and made an effort to have a conversation with me ( star number 2) but she did not do a very good job on the pedi. My nails are unevenly cut and the polish is a bit sloppy. I also paid for ( I think it's called the deluxe pedicure?) with a hot stone and hot towel massage .. she barely wiped my legs with the hot stones and warm towel lol overall the service was not worth the money I paid, but I guess they got the job done ( but it is pretty mediocre). I won't be back. Pretty upset I splurged and paid the extra 5 bucks for barely there add-ons. Read Less

Let me say this place disappointed me in the past..Was getting my nails done here regularly, I started to notice my full set was breaking in less then 1 week I finally realized it wasn't me by looking at past reviews seams commin at this location..one night I went in And instead of turning me away because she was in a hurry to leave (lynn the manager) and there where almost closing she was very ruff cut my finger 3 times and complained that she was always there so I felt bad for her..let her bad customer service go and forgave the horrible job she did ,,,I decided for nails this wasn't the place for me..,well continue dot get my eyebrows waxed there and decided to give them a chance with the whole nail thing again...wanted my feet done a fill and eyebrows ,Lynn started to be rude when I didn't have a color picked out, she was still prepping my nails ..not sure what was the rush it wasn't for me , she doesn't do peddi so she wanted to move on to another customer instead of putting me in the chair to get my mani and pedi from Someone else...when I told her she was being rude. I will never come here again. There was only one lady there that could speak english, and she was managing traffic and did most translating for all her techs. I waited 30 minutes when she said only 10 minutes. Once i got seen the tech i was given barely spoke english. I told her i wanted chrome nails and she had no idea what i was saying, i had to show her pictures. Then she told me " i no do, only she do" (pointing to the only lady who spoke english). Now i dont know how hard it is to do but i have seen it done a few times and it doesn't seem hard. The end result was horrible. I had gel stuck to my skin and underneath my nails. This is the only nail shop in Hayward that I go to Lynn is the best! I always go to her for my overlay or full set she is very experienced and professional. She begged me to do my eyebrows for about a year when I first started going to her and I hesitated because I had my eyebrows ruined by others before her, but when I tell you she SLAYED my brows, I MEAN SHE SLAYED THEM! Horrible service I came in for a full set (ballerina shaped) and the head nail tech that does pretty much everyone's nails did mine.  She rushed which I specifically asked her before hand that if she didn't have time to do them I would come back because I came in at about 6pm and she looked overwhelmed.  Of course she insisted that she could take me with no problem well she messed my set up, she cut the nails into shape with a nail clipper instead of filing them than when she was putting on the acrylics they were slanted so I made her aware of it and she told me it looked slanted because that is how my fingers were shaped!  (I pretty much had to restrain myself from not cussing her out and walking out)  A week later my nail popped off went in and tried to get it fixed the same lady literally just put nail glue and said it would be fine....course not it popped off again so I decided to go to my old nail shop..... Terrible place. Looks very nice from outside but that too is very deceiving. I've been to this place several times and even with my complaints about the previous visit my nails and or toes came out worse. This last time I was there was the icing on the cake. The concept of this place was excellent. You go in you feel welcomed the place is comfortable-looking, you write down what you want then you're assisted to your chair. you get offered something to drink such as wine water or coffee. They do an excellent job at making you feel relaxed. They take many steps in making sure they have the best product to do a pedicure, however when it comes to painting your toenails they are awful they lack experience. my 10 year old cousin can do better at painting. The waxing experience however lact the expertise I was looking for. I'll stick to the European Wax Center. Overall oohs come here to get my feet rejuvenated once every few months but I'll be leaving with no polish. I'd rather go pay a few extra bucks to have my toes painted elsewhere. Read Less

Decided I need a manicure and pedicure. Was greater and asked to sign in . waited ten minutes and then was called over to sit at the pedicure chair. The water was cold. Asked if she could make it warmer. The manicurist tried and it was now just cool. She then walked away and set up a new work station and called another client and stated working on her feet. This is by far the worst place I've ever been to to get my nails done. They were rushed and instead of turning people away so they could spend time on their customers they were greedy and rushed threw everyone giving them horrible nails. I got mine done by the manager and she was rude and did a horrible job. She even gave me a nice cut and didn't apologize, even when it started bleeding so much I had to wait till it stopped to get polish. I asked for them short and when I asked for shorter after she filed them she got defensive and upset because i didn't like the length. They're super thick and sloppy.  Please this is literally the first review I've written and it's because I'm so upset over the service I was given by these people. If I could I would be here every week! I really enjoy my time with the girls at The Nume Spa! I feel refreshed not rushed and always have a great laugh!
