Can you do full designs? No. Can you do 3D nails? No. Can you put glitter on? No, glitter is old school. Can you do any design? Yes but the girl who does everything has cancer and isn't here anymore. So you'll just wait for whoever available.So why did I book an appointment for full set with 3D nail designs on every finger and end up he can't do anything? Then he tells me that  designs they do have are for pedicures. Maybe his attempt at humor? Who knows Are you kidding me?!?Came in at my 10:30am appointment at 10:35. Called in advance to my appointment time as a courtesy to let him know I'm running late and there was no parking. Didn't get seated till 11:00am. Owner started on my nails but kept getting interrupted with helping other people and answering the phone. I told him I had to be out by noon to pick up my daughter. An hour and a half for a full set and simple design should have been enough time. Nope. He proceeded to tell me he refuses to do my design service and to just pick a color. I said just slap some gel on and I'll be on my way. He was annoyed the entire time. Kept trying to make small talk but condescendingly told me I didn't know anything cause he knows it all. Also asked me if I was Vietnamese. I said yes I am. Then he said, "no you're not". Dude! Are you trynna tell me what my own ethnicity is?! C'mon! Alrighhhhttttey. Never coming back here again!! Owner needs a lesson in customer service. Especially with new guests. There goes building your business!I'm Vietnamese. We are known for nails! If I don't want to go here, what makes you want to?? Randy did a great job on my nails! I asked for a chocolate wine and gave me the perfect matte color. He was so quick which I really appreciated because I hate sitting for long periods of time. BE AWARE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I was referred to Miss Nails by my sister who gets her nails done by Diane (the owner with a horrible attitude). I was told to go to Diane or her husband Randy(the other owner who is beyond rude), however i dropped by as a walk-in and they were kind of busy so I just went to the first person available(this lady was surprisingly very nice). I needed a full set I was told $30 plus $15 for the paint I wanted and another $5 for cutting my cuticles (no problem). While getting my nails done a young lady sat down at Randy's table not sure what happened between them but in less then minutes Randy is screaming and yelling at this young lady. The young lady gets up and leaves and states she will never be coming back. Now fast forward to two days later I notice my nails (EVERY SINGLE LAST NAIL) is lifting up and look as if you can just pop them off.  So I stop back by Miss Nails to show Randy and Diane my nails. Randy says he remembers me coming in two days ago and they can fix them for me. So I'm like great can I make an appointment to come in early Saturday because that is the only day I will have time to come and sit down. I explained my situation that I work in SF I live in Hayward I have a long commute to and from work and have to pick my one year old son up from daycare every day as well. So I would only be free on the weekends( this was a Monday that I came back and I had gotten my nails done on Saturday) so Randy then states I have to come in before a week was up. I said great well Saturday makes it one week exactly I can come in early Saturday morning. Randy then proceeded to tell me if I waited till Saturday I would have to pay because it was over a week. I explained why I couldn't come in until Saturday again and then explained that's why I dropped in today so they can see with their own eyes that ALL of my nails were lifting after only two days. Randy began to get loud with me and telling me "oh well" if I could not come before Saturday then I would have to pay again(if you could see the looks on everyone's faces in the room, some of them were even commenting on how wrong they were treating me). I asked for my money back (since I couldn't do a charge back on my card being that they only take cash) And NOPE couldn't get a refund I was told to leave the shop. Smh I am so disappointed with the service I received at Miss Nails and I will never be returning. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU SAVE YOURSELF THE TRIP AND NEVER EVEN VISIT THEM. She was mad about taking gel off my feet telling me gel is not f r feet like what?! And she charged me extra to take it off I've never been charged to take off the gel , & she would paint 1 nail & put it in the light each time, & I came with my mom & she also got a full set & pedicure & the young girl who was doing her nails also complained about the gel & she had a mad face the whole time like she didn't want to do it & after I walked out I noticed ALL of my toe nails are cut crooked!! Mixed reviews on this place been coming here for some years now and it remains the same Randy is the best off tops if you want your nails done the right way!! Diane is another good nail tech but she is really rough trying to rush the job and get you in an out. So pissed every time she does my nails I leave with a cut of some sort from her ass. There is also some other older lady who also gives rough nail tech services. This place is okay but if not Randy I'd pick another spot the women are 50/50 never consistent you either love your nails or hate them or like me leave with cut up fingers. I only come here don't get me wrong the nails they do are pretty good. At least linh does a good job. The service here is probably the worst service I have ever experienced at any establishment . The owner randy will yell at you in front of customers. One occasion randy yelled at me because I didn't tell him I was going to get a full set and that set linh back. I didn't ever before disclose if I was going to get a full set or a fill. He was rude and unprofessional. Even the girls who work there have told me he treats them very bad. I always continued to go because linh was the only person who could do my nails the way I wanted them. PLEASE READ ! i scheduled an appointment at 5:30 for a full set & pedicure. When i arrived at 5:25 i told them i had an appointment at 5:30. All the workers were occupied & I couldn't be seen so i was told to take a seat. After being there for 30 minutes & having nothing done I complained that i needed to get started on my nails or toes b/c i had an appointment & had been waiting a long time. Finally a lady sat me in a pedicure chair & did a wonderful job BUT could not do gel ? So another lady (KIMMY) sat me in a nail char & she sat on the floor while trying to do my toes. They were SLOPPY , MESSY , & just all around horrible. I asked her when she started on the first toe & every toe after if she could clean them up (before dried with the UV) b/c she was just slapping on polish without care. She then threw her hands in the air saying "This is too hard, i can't do it". I asked if someone else would be able to do my toes & she said "no they don't have time , i'm going to take off" i said i dont want them off i just want it cleaned up & she said "no i'm taking off". As she proceeded to take off the gel polish, she CUT my toe really bad to where i drew back my foot & shouted ow ! Letting her know I didn't want her to take it off if she was going to cut me. She continued to take off the polish while CLEARLY talking about me to the boss (DIANE). As she was talking, diane kept looking up at me & the lady so i knew she was saying stuff about me. After the polish was off i said "someone has to do my toes b/c i came for toes & nails" to which she then spoke to someone in her language & said someone would do them. She said she would do my nails & when she started to put on the first nail it was so crooked like she didnt even care & i asked her to please fix it. She ranted in her language & then threw her hands up again & said she wasnt going to do my nails. LASTLY... Diane ended up doing my hands & feet...& understood my frustration. I came here a few years ago because I liked there service so I decided to bring my mom here to get her nails done for her birthday and they began doing her nails good. They had a posters which said Miss Nails and my mom fell in love with the design because it matched her birthday dress and we told them she wanted that design and they said ok that's fine sure. Right before they were going to begin with her design they told her she had to choose a different one because they were too busy and couldn't do that design right now. I went to miss nails on a Friday morning around 9:45am to get my nails filled and a pedi not to mention my cuzn funeral was at 11am .... i didn't have enough time to get my fill so randy told me he could make a appointment with me for 2pm ... Cool wasn't a problem I could just come back after the funeral no biggie So I come back at 1:45pm to get my nails filled as I set my appointment for and I patiently waited while Randy finished up with his client .... Before he was even done he was directing me to sit in Diane chair which I didn't mind because she done my nails many of times before but then I also remember that she had messed my nails up the last time I came there so I really didn't want her to do my nails again ... so I explained to Randy that I booked with him for a reason and I didn't want to get my nails done by her ... he tells me that he told me earlier that she was who I was booking with when I clearly asked what time could he take me after my cuzn funeral ... had I knew he booked me with her I would not have came back ... any who I let her do my nails and as she's doing them I see she has a attitude ... she basically filled my nails from the root of my finger to the middle and left the tips very thin as if it was my real nails ... I was so irritated I just left not to mention I tipped her !A couple days later on Sunday which was EASTER SUNDAY I realized my toes were chipping polish ... I called Monday morning to let them know my nails were fucked up and my toes were already chipping and I was told to come back ... so I returned waited patiently for 15mins while Diane took her time to do nothing at all ... I sit down in her chair tell her what the problem is what I don't like etc.. she starts yelling at me like I don't know what I like and I'm wrong so I CHECKED her ass told her I paid my fucking money it shouldn't be a discussion about anything period especially when I paid you my hard earned money ... she still kept going on and on I told her either you gone fix it or not cuz at this point I'm ready to knock everything over in the shop ... she end up fixing them and making them worst then they was when I came ... then she wouldn't give me alcohol to rub on my nails after she was done or cuticle oil ... I didn't even get my toes fixed I walked out and told they ass I was never coming back ever ... I have been coming here for many years to have my nails done.  One of the few still there that I know by name is Diane, who does a good job. The few times I've had her do any nail art from a picture it doesn't look like the picture at all, but it looks okay.  She is nice but will often start speaking with others in her language while she is doing my nails and sometimes totally ignores me when I talk to her.  Randy, the owner, can be very rude.  I keep going because I live nearby, the prices are reasonable and I've never had any problems with infections. This used to be my go-to nail spot when I was in high school. Came every 2 weeks. Never left unsatisfied. The only reason I won't give them 5 stars is because the smell. It just smells like crazy chemicals!! That's why I had to switch up my nail salon and am so thankful to have found "Victorias Salon in San Leandro!" You walk in and it doesn't even smell like nail polish! Anyway, I promised I'd never cheat, but I did and came to Miss Nail last Saturday, around 11am, because it was date night and I couldn't wait til Tuesday to get them done and my usual nail tech Jessica at Victoria Salon was off.. so I had to come here. The nail techs were not friendly and clearly don't want to be there. I came on a weekday around 4pm and although there was no one waiting, they seemed to be in a rush. I requested an acrylic fill with designs like I found in a picture, they immediately start talking to each other in a different language and don't seem like they want to do it, I suppose the First Lady couldn't do it so she passed me on to someone else. I asked for a coffin shape and when I got home I could see that she actually made the acrylic overlay more narrow than my nail and so my nail is exposed on the side, which caused my real nail to break and rip. The nails were also so sharp I could cut myself with them. I kept asking her to round them out, which she did but the end was left so blunt that a few days later, the polish is already gone from the tips.While the gold foil was being applied, the nail tech kept asking if it was okay - but it wasn't- it looked nothing like the picture; there was supposed to be full coverage and she left mine looking patchy.The only OK thing about it was that it was not that expensive but they hike up the price $10 for gel polish.
