This is my favorite place for a pedicure. They have the comfortable, massaging footbath chairs. This is an excellent nail salon in the middle of downtown Guerneville. I made an appointment for a pedi and had only a slight delay as a walk-in client was being finished. The massage was wonderful, the staff cheerful and accommodating, and my pedicure spot-on. I will return next time I visit Guerneville. Read Less

After coming in every other month to have my toes done for nearly five years, I was very disappointed this afternoon. I am guessing that since the husband has had a health "event", the wife has taken over and the difference in shop management is pretty significant.In the past, due to the unpredictability of my work schedule, I was able to drop in or call and then drive over without a big, formal "appointment".  Even when every chair is full and every clinician engaged, I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes before I am welcomed into a chair and given exquisite care...Not today.Today - a Tuesday and about 1 pm - I finally have a few minutes to spare and dart in, hoping to get my toes attended to.  The place is virtually empty - only two chairs with clients but the wife says, "We are too busy to fit you in this afternoon."   Huh.  Only two clients, the place is "dead" and yet you turn your nose up at a regular customer??  Right.  Sorry to hear about the husband's health issues but will not be back. Worst pedicure I've had my nails are catching on blankets etc....could barely feel her rub my heels.  Spent very little time on my toes and mostly just the leg massage because then she could mindlessly chat with the coworker.  Then to top it off i needed change and she of course gave me back two fives how clever.  Felt obligated to give the 5.  Never again. The only 2 good things about this place is the location and the people are nice. Another then that it's an awful business. Their hours are awful, they have poor customer service skills. Their services are so-so. Worst things is You make an appointment and end up waiting 30 plus mins with little interaction from the nail stylist. While you watch them treat other customers who just walked in the door. Don't waste your time on this place. I hate to says this I'm all for small town businesses but this is just not a good one. I've been coming here for a couple years now, and I'm never disappointed by the service. I've had waxing, gel manicures, regular polish manicures/pedicures, French manicures, and nail art. All awesome. I really like the face-wax she uses, and the French manicure is always clean. They work fast, but they get busy so you will want to call ahead of time so you don't have to wait.My mom is new to nail salons, but a newdisability makes it hard for her to take care of her own nails, so I talked her in to coming here. She was one of those "I don't like people touching my feet!" non-pedicurists, but the people here always make us feel welcomed and comfortable even now that it takes a little bit longer for her to get in and out of the pedicure chair. River Nails is a full nail salon. It's such a friendly atmosphere there. They really treat u well. Their work (designs) have always come out awesome. Yes! This place is awesome. They are so accomodating and kind. I take my 87 yr old Dad there for his Pedi and he loves it! His lady friend joins us so we have 4 of us booked each month. I really look forward to it. Very clean. I was an OR nurse so that counts big with me!! All of them are great and have fun personalities. This was the best nail Salon I think I have ever been to as far as service, helpfulness of the staff and comfortability. Me and 8 other girls came for a bachelorette weekend and each one loves our nails. They accommodated all of us, were so friendly, joking around with us and making sure we were comfortable. I really wanted the magnetic polish on two nails and I was having issues making it work but they were so helpful to help my vision come to life especially the older gentleman. Was in town for a friend's wedding and didn't have time for a mani pedi before I left home. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It had to be one on the best mani pedi's I've ever had. The place is clean and they follow very strict sanitation practices. Very nice little touches like bottle water and checking to make you are comfortable. The outcome far exceeded my expectations and I will go back whenever I am in town. I love this place! I used to live in Guerneville, but am now in Santa Rosa. I will drive out to River Nails to get a mani pedi. It's so worth it. I refuse to go anywhere else. The spa is clean, the staff is nice and the prices are great! $32 for a mani pedi is fantastic. I also get my eyebrows done here for $12. Can't beat that. Oh, and They give you a stamp card. Gave these guys 2 chances and I have been disappointed both times. First time I did not have an appointment and waited over an hour even though I was told it would be only a few minutes. Second time I had an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes to get my nails done. I am one of the pickiest people I know when it comes to my nails and hair. I honestly am so happy to found this place. I'm new to the area and have been to many places in Santa Rosa which just dis pointed me. I'm glad to spend my money locally! Vivi did the best pedicure and Diane does my manicures. Amazing!!!! This place is amazing and definitely one of the top places I've been to. I'm from the Bay Area where you go to a salon full of people and you're rushed through the entire process aka the entire experience is full of rushed massages and nail painting. This place was completely different. They took their time massaging, bathing and painting your feet, hands and nails and it was amazing. In the end my nails looked awesome and even though we kept them passed their closing time, they were super friendly and tedious with their work. Thank you guys so much!
