I went there for fill on my acrylic nails. The guy that was there was very sweet but did not seem to know what he was doing. He started trying to rip my nails off with a pair of nippers telling me I needed to have a new full set. But I actually didn't and he was hurting me as he pulled them off. Then use the Dremel tool to file them down super short. They're super crooked ones longer than all the rest. So I called and asked the same night if they could fix them the next day and I wanted gel polish not regular polish. She said she would but then when I called the next day she was not very friendly and did not seem to want to fix it and wanted to charge me 15 extra dollars after I already paid $23 for the fill and the crappy nail polish. I don't like to post a poor review, however, my experience at this nail salon today was unsatisfactory.  I called the salon and was given a 1:30  appointment.  I arrived early and I still waited 40  minutes before I was seen.  That was not the worst part.  My pedicure was the worst I have ever had. I went in to get a white tip set put on for my wedding. I went in on a Monday a few weeks before so I could get used to them. I had the older lady do my set. By Saturday I had 2 already lifting over half way and 5 more starting to lift on the edges. Tonight I lost 3 and ended up pulling 5 more easily. Needless to say I get to start over somewhere else and waste more money. I can not say whether the younger girl or the guy is good but I won't go back to find out. My friend and I made an appointment to get pedicures. Got there a bit early and the spa tubs were ready.  Almost thirty minutes later, when no one had started on either one of us we decided to leave. On the way out one of the manicurests said I am ready to start on your pedicure now. We both said too late and left. This is the second time i have sat therefor thirty minutes when I have had an appointment. I will never go there again. Read Less

The only things that make this salon worth going to are that they are cheap, fast, and, for someone like me who works until six, they are open later.   The quality varies each time you go in and often times you have to wait even when you have made an appointment.  The people working there are often very unprofessional.  For example, last time I got a pedicure the lady did not get off her phone once from the minute I walked in until I paid and left. I was NOT very happy with the employees who work there. I made an appointment a day ahead and the lady said she wrote it down. However the next day I came for my appointment and the lady had no idea what i was talking about!!! Next, I sat down in the chair. and POOOFF! Nail dust everywhere and ON ME! Nails international and Its tools, chairs, floor, etc. were not clean at all! So the next thing that happened was yelling in back. There were two employees yelling and screaming like crazy. so the lady who started to soak and massage me was texting the whole time! Then she pulled up my pant leg and said " wow, you need to shave"! ..... Words cant even expain how mad I was. SO after that and doing my nails, the guy didnt even let them dry, And when he went to put on my flip flop things, he smeared my polish. I said something about it and he just basically said that it was my fault!! It was not. So I ended up paying 55 dollars and what seemed more like 15 dollars. Not impressed! I am on vacation and came with my 94 year old Aunt. This is her usual place. They were so patient, kind and respectful to her. They did a great job on her feet and nails! I had a very relaxing pedicure they did a wonderful job, very thorough. My manicure was great also. Nice conversation and will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. Read Less

Have gone here for years. Tried a couple of others and always come back to Nails International. Convenient for shopping at other stores. Linda knows her customers by name and we also visit when see each other in town. 95% of the time very pleased with nails. I have never tipped more than $5.00 and there has never been a problem. About two years ago I came to this nail salon, and LOVED them! Super friendly, cracking jokes, singing! It's was a lovely environment. Today,after not being their for two years, I decided to go in to get my nails filled, tips changed, and nails shortened. The woman who did my nails was an older woman, split thumb, and some kind of callus on her hand that felt awkward to let my hand rest on. Every time she had me drying my hands she was rubbing cream on her callused hand. Maybe her hand was in pain? or having a bad day? thats possibly why my bails got fucked. Not only do my nails look like hell, but I was cut during the process. Lets just put some nail glue on it and call it ok!!! They are lumpy and uneven. Left under my nails are nail junk that builds up in the process when NOT done right. It came to $35, I felt bad so I tipped her 5 dollars. That's suppose to be an even $40 right? Wrong. For what ever reason she charged me $41. I guess a dollar more was worth her crappy job. The only reason I went here today was because I was in the area and didn't have the time to drive to my awesome nail place in auburn who actually knows how to do their job and get better tips for better work. Mary is quick & doesn't do a good job on my mom. I've learned that they do a poor job at feet. But even worse job at your fingernails! I have to add that my mom & I went to John and I don't know what he didn't do but both our nail polish started flaking off that week. That is not cool. They aren't that good! First off, we walk in and the place wreaks of cheap nail chemicals and is filthy! But it was the only place I could find online that was open.  I called 2 hours prior to make an appt.  We arrive on time and inform the owner of our appt for 2 manicures.  He denies we have an appt! Unbelievable!  But he told us to pick out our color anyways.  We did and waited.  We waited 15 mins, so I asked if he wanted us to come back...He said no and if we did he would probably end up taking someone else.With 3 people working and 3 people being serviced, 2 in the waiting room(not including us), it looked like it was going to be at least another 45 mins to an hour! My mom and I grew more frustrated as another customer complained the manicurist didn't have time to do the French style polishing they had agreed to do. "I say we leave", I told my mom.We did.I told the owner we had a change of heart since he couldn't honor our appointment or be honest with the timing.  He just told us to have a good day!No apology!Incredible! I have mixed feelings on Nails International.  Their nails last much longer then any other place I've seen.  And it could be the day I came in on and my experience.  I went in with my mother for a girls day out. The place was recommended by a co-worker.  We waited a while for our pedicure and manicure which wasn't a problem.  The pedicure was first and not bad.  It was a little odd that the person working on me was drinking beer, but I didn't mind.  The employees are extremely casual. They work 6 days a week full hours, so it's like their another home for them I guess.  But the pedicure was nice and relaxing. Then my mother was taken over for a manicure.  They didn't really do much. She was disappointed because there was no massage or even lotion put on.  They also cut her twice. I was taken over to put on a full set with airbrushed white tips.  He went through the process rather quickly.  Cut me once.  They put a gel on the nails at the end which produced a nice coat and longer lasting nails.  The problem is in the nails.  And anyone that gets nails regularly will understand the annoyance on this stuff.  My thumb is not straight. One of my pinky nails is longer then the other by a lot.  I had to file it down when I got home.  I would say this if you are going to try this place.  The nails themselves are beautiful and I'm on my second week now and they look brand new.  However, pay attention to what they are doing.  Make sure they are on straight and even before you walk out the door.  They are a little pricey as well.  $61 dollars for both.  Usually it runs me about 50.  They do have glitter tips.
