I only go to one nail shop and only go to one person... I'm very picky about where I spend my hard earned money. My nail lady I go to in Auburn was out of town until Tuesday and I had to get my nails done.. could not wait. I had no choice but to look for a nail shop in GV. I got a bad taste in my mouth from another shop in town and was very reluctant to try anywhere else in GV. I found this place by accident, as I had some how missed it when I did a search for a new nail shop closer to my home (I live in PV) This is my experience of this shop:They got me in within hours on a Saturday, the man who did my nails (I believe his name was Brian) had to fill and round out my very grown out- pointed/coffin shape nails. The shop was clean, the manicurist was very nice, reasonably priced, decent amount of gel polish, a few chairs for pedicures (I didn't get one but some chick said she was gonna go to sleep who was getting one done while I got my fill)They had a full house while I was there but they knew each customers name and sounded personable with them and not that fake friendly you get sometimes. The worst manicure ever! I had gel polish on my nails, and I made sure that she needs to remove gel polish with base. I don't remember the name of the girl, but it seems like she was in hurry, she put tons of polish removal on my nails. Tons! So it went inside my sleeves, god, it was not necessary at all, its so chemical and drying for the skin! Then she shaped my nails so weirdly, and she was so fast! like 20-25 minutes. She cut the finger removing cuticles. I had ingrown nail after this manicure which I have never had before in my life. When she put the polish it looked terrible, and I thought it was the old polish, I kinda wanted to not pay and just leave, but didn't want to start the scene.. I got back home and remove the polish and saw that the gel base partly was there and it looked really bad! So I bought everything needed to remove this base and learnt how to do my own manicure. They are much nicer here than other local salons and if you make an appointment they'll be waiting for you (unlike other salons where even if you had one they don't respect it). However, they don't give the best service. Pedicures are always cold and don't consist of the basics other salons here have (stones, how towels) it's basically just water here. I love Brian, he is fast, does a good job and nice to talk too! Their prices are fair and the shop is very clean. They do get busy so I suggest making an appointment or calling ahead of time. But definitely a great stop in grass Valley. And I'm a total nail snob. Read Less

I love the fact that I can make an appointment and they keep it open, rather than taking another person because they have walked in maybe 10 minutes before my appointment.  All the nail technicians are quick, skilled and friendly. I came here because of all of the great reviews. But I was disappointed. The salon was very small and outdated. I came in just for a pedicure and was disappointed when I found out they only offer a regular basic pedicure. It lasted less than 30 minutes. I am only giving this place 3 stars because the staff was very friendly. I have ever been to a nail salon that only offers a basic pedicure. Love this place! I've been to all the salon in this area, KC Nails is the best!! The girls are so nice and they do a wonderful job. The shop is clean, they greet you with a smile. they are hard to understand. very nice ladies but not sure how happy i am with nails. too thick near base, ragged along edges. charged 5$ just to paint a gold cross on thumbs. I'm going to have to think hard when it comes time to filling them in. Read Less

So I had a broken nail fiasco....I had been looking for 2 days to see who would repair them, tammys nails didnt have time and Nail Queen shoved me in a chair as soon as i said all I needed was a repair they told me "they didnt have time" either....whatever. But not KC Nails they were so pleasant and acomidating. She corrected my existing nails and repaired the broken ones. Love ya Cindy! Read Less
