I just had a Brazilian, eyebrow wax and mani/pedi with Mubena at Raw Beauty Bar and she did amazing! I was a little hesitant to book ALL services in one place, especially with something sensitive like a Brazilian wax, but the aesthetician I usually go to moved out of the city, and RBB is a 10 minute drive from my home, so I decided to take a chance after reading all the reviews. The most important thing to me was to find a place with NO JUDGMENTS and still a relaxing and clea...n atmosphere. I am a busy person so beauty treatments usually take a backside to my work, so I don't frequent nail salons as often as I can, so I wanted to go to a place where I can feel like I can be myself, and not be judged for "letting myself go" - particularly since I bite my nails. I've been to many salons that are beautiful, but you can tell they pass judgment or they make passive aggressive comments. This is a very nice, clean and trendsetting full-service salon.  I was extremely pleased with the cut and color highlights that Marisa expertly performed on my hair.  She listened very carefully, explained what she was doing and why, and was so comfortable to be with during my "transformation".   I am quite happy with Marisa and the quality of her service.  I would recommend her without reservation---she was great!  I also took the time for a spa mani/pedi, as well.  Sudi was exceptional in restoring my nails appearance & the pedi was so relaxing!  The Atrium just had massaging chairs installed for the pedicures.  Very nice!  Pricing was fair, too! I have been coming to this salon for years and I have never been disappointed.  Selene is wonderful and has always done an amazing job on my hair. I come in for my haircuts, color touch ups and styles. This salon also offers facials, pedicures and manicures too. My entire bridal party came here the morning of my wedding 2 years ago and we all received the VIP treatment. The salon spoiled us with strawberries, fresh fruit, spa water and bakery items. I happened to pass by the salon and stopped in to see if I could get an appointment for an eyebrow wax. Their soonest appointment was the next day which was just fine with me. Setting the appointment was easy and the person assisting me was very pleasant and helpful.   I arrived the next day exactly at my appointment time. I only waited two to three minutes to be greeted by Noki. She did a fabulous job and was very warm and friendly throughout the process. I noticed that she seemed to adjust her personality to match mine which I really appreciated. By the end of the appointment she had me in hysterics laughing. I explained to her that I'm looking for a new salon since I recently moved into the area. She successfully walked the line between successfully selling her Salon without being pushy about it. Whether or not I use the other services they offer I am certain that I will be going back to Noki for my eyebrows.   Only one thing kept me from giving this a 5-star  review. Very disappointed in the pedicure. First of all, the lady never asked what kind of pedicure I'd prefer. No options and no pricing was given. No scrub, no foot massage (besides 2 mins it takes to put the lotion on) Had to push back the cuticles myself when she left to get the towel. I went to the Atrium today to get a pedicure with a gift card I had received from a student three years before. I filled out a new visitor card as I had never been in before. After I got the pedicure (which was very mediocre at best) I presented my $60 gift card. I was told that the balance was only $7. Long story short I had to pay my balance and was called back later with the explanation that the card was used by the parent/friend who originally gave me the card. Apparently she used it a a year ago. I was confused as I had the card in my procession for 3 years. Apparently they didn't require the card to be In the procession of the person (just the number on the card) and allowed the amount to be used. What kind of business does that? Anyone could have come in and given them a number and used the money... Also, how embarrassing is it for the person who purchased it...The business gave out her name to an upset customer and completely threw her under the bus! The young receptionist was accusatory when I said I had never used the card and rolled her eyes. VERY POOR BUSINESS!! Do not go here!!! Very unprofessional. Lauren, owner of Raw Beauty Bar was extremely pleasant, conversational and knew my frustration. Being an extremely picky customer when it comes to my nails, I am very satisfied with the professionalism at Raw Beauty Bar. After coming to the Atrium for 12 years and constantly buying gift certificates as gifts, I can say disappointed is an understatement. My sister went in for highlights and the stylist did not lift her hair enough to make it noticeable. After politely asking her to correct it, the stylist was extremely rude and unprofessional. What It made it worse was the manager Noki, was asked to come over to rectify the situation. Not only did Noki NOT handle the situation, she acted like she did not know who my mother was- she has been my mother's aesthetician for over 10 years!  My sister and mom were so uncomfortable that they just paid and left without getting it corrected.I am in the customer service field and know that is is never acceptable to treat anyone like this, let alone a long time standing client. I went to the salon in person to inform them that this was unkind and not appreciated. Furthermore, I had a gift certificate that I had given my mom which I knew she would never use.  I simply asked for a refund due to the mishap. After 5 days of not hearing back from management, I left three voicemail's only to be returned that "there was nothing they could do and refunds were against their policy". It is ridiculous that I am stuck with an expensive gift card that I will never be able to use due to their poor service. Way to retain your clients and burn a 12 year bridge. Read Less

I have been going to Selene for my hair for just about a year and a half.  I have never had a complaint on the outcome with her.  I have only had one terrible experience with color but the stylist is no longer there and Selene was able to fix it my next time in.  Considering its granite bay it's totally reasonable and the quality is just amazing! Wish i could put no stars!!! Ive been here twice now. My boyfriend got a gift card for christmas. 1st time: I got a massage, gel manicure, and a pedicure. The massage was amazing, worst gel manicure I have ever got only because I asked for my nails to be fully painted and the paint was splothy(even my boyfriend said they looked awful) and the pedicure was very rough. 130$... I went back to give them a second chance and use the rest of the giftcard. This time on my birthday. I got a full set acrylic nail manicure. Ive been to tons of places and this was the worst. 50$ for a horribly painted french manicure. No color powders, no designs, no different colored nails(accent nails) I asked for thick whites, she kept them short, i asked for flared nails, she rounded the squares. I asked multiple times for more white white to no avail. I am not a rude person but the fact that I paid 180$ for 2 shitty manicures is uncalled for. Over priced for horrible work. First time I called I wasn't able to get an appointment and the second time was worst because they messed up the schedule, asked to be sched for a certain time and when I get there they told me that I was scheduled for the next month! Receive great pedicures and brow waxing services, and have for quite some time.  However, the reception and other common areas are run-down and shabby looking.  The carpets appear dirty and worn, as does the furniture.  Time for the owner to invest in spiffing up the place a bit.  I'm surprised they have let things get to where they are.  If it remains this way much longer, I will go elsewhere.  Feels unclean. THE best day spa AND salon I have ever been to! I received a holiday package as a gift and fell in love ever since! The facilities are clean and luxurious and the staff makes me feel like a celebrity ! Noki was the one who did my facial and brows and let me tell you she is AMAZING ! I went to the Atrium today to get my highlights touched up before I go back to college. I asked for golden reddish highlights like the ones I already had in my hair. The hair stylist brought out some very red color swatches, which I promptly said no to because I wanted GOLDEN highlights, not bright red/auburn highlights. She then brought out some golden swatches which were better in color so I said okay. After putting the color in my hair (which took forever, by the way), she used some toner to strip out some of the blond from my previous highlights. When she started to dry my hair, I realized my entire head of hair was BRIGHT RED. When I went outside and saw how red my hair was in the sun, I promptly cried for an hour. This is the worst color job I have ever gotten and I am beyond disappointed. Will never be going back to the Atrium. Read Less

I visited this spa for the first time with my girlfriend. I had an incredible facial and massage. The spa rooms are beautiful and relaxing. My massage therapist and esthetician did an awesome job. I don't have a huge budget that allows me to go to the spa all the time so having a great experience is really important and I will defiently go back. Ask for Noki - her facials are unbelievable. WOW, where to start, snobby front desk, cruddy uppity estitition, the massage was soooooo inferior I almost asked for my money back. I was made to change clothes in a freaking CLOTHESET. only the nail lady was good, and nice. The couch in the ""relaxation/ waiting area was as old as my grandmothers and it is right near the front door, not relaxing. You have to be kidding me. They call themselves a spa. Where's the locker room? Where's the sauna? Bright lights in the spa and change in the massage room? I had to put my things in a garment bag. The Atrium Salon Spa is one of the prettiest salon spas I have been to in the area. They offer every service imaginable and their staff is so professional. I have never had a poor service done there.
