I love this place so much! I've been coming here ~once a month since I discovered this place. Everyone is very professional and do an excellent job. They are always busy because they are so good! I suggest making an appointment ahead of time because they may not have availability if you try to just walk-in. They have gel polish, regular, and dip nail polish. I like getting regular nail polish because I like to change my color frequently and you can't do that with gel or dip. Also, my nails are very long so they added a layer of acrylic to my natural nails to make them stronger. I'm in love with my nails. 10/10 recommend. Read Less

I paid with tip over $50 for a pedicure.  Seems overpriced to me and I am from San Diego but I understand the cost of living there is high. The lady helping me maybe spent 35-40 minutes on me. I thought it would've been longer.  The massages was ehhh.  It all felt kind of rushed. Read Less

I was in the area for a few days last weekend with my Bestie and her daughter. We had a few hours in between moving her stuff into college and dinner and thought we would get manicure pedicures. they could take all three of us so in we went. Initially the welcoming was friendly. Then they presented us with the menu for pedicures. When we all three decided to just go with basic (I'd just had a pedi 2 weeks prior) all three of our technicians try to put on a hard-press for us to upgrade. This included rubbing our heels and making disdainful faces and comments. Um. Ok. We all three declined and said we would stick with basic. After that my tech barely spoke to me.  And all three seem to rush through our pedis. Though they offered other clients water and glasses of wine, they ignored all three of us. Like if we weren't going to upgrade, they weren't going to bother with us. On to my gel mani. I get them all the time, so I know what's up. I watched her and though she was moving fast, she seemed like she was following all the steps. Then she cut me badly on one of my fingers! OW. Mine was $65 - way more than I pay at home. Also they charged my friend more $$ for her manicure because she did not get polish! But still, I thought OK it was worth it to be able to do it with my bestie and her daughter on college move-in weekend. Later that evening my pedi chipped in two places. Next day one of my thumbs chipped and now both are chipped and several are so rough I've had to file them and I have to go get another mani pedi this weekend!Rude. Expensive. Crappy quality. I was in the area for a week and in dire need of a mani pedi. Polished came up for salons in the area so I drove by and the curb appeal was pretty nice so I thought I'd check it out. I ended up getting shellac nails and toes done by Kim and Amy. Both of them were very nice and asked if I was happy with the way my nails came out before leaving me, just in case I wanted them to fix anything. I had all white done and I know it can be a little bit of a harder color to come out perfectly. I did get there early on a Saturday morning but as I was there it started to get pretty busy. The owner came and spoke with me as well as did my arm and leg massage so that the manicurists could tend to other customers. He was extremely friendly and easy going. You can tell he cares about his customers and tries to ensure their comfort and happiness while at his salon. I'm very pleased with the way my nails came out and I will definitely come back to this salon the next time I'm in the area. I do recommend making an appointment though just in case they are busy. This is the best nail salon. The ladies here are so nice and  they do they best nails every time. I really love acrylics that look natural and this is the perfect place for that. I made an appointment for 12pm, showed up a few minutes before. They said they needed 10 minutes, so I picked out a color and waited. They had me sit at a station, but no one said a word after that. I waited til 12:25 and eventually walked out. I was on my lunch break which is why I made an appointment. Two stars because it's clean and looks nice and they have a good polish selection - if you have plenty of time this might be a good place, but waiting 25+ minutes for a scheduled appointment is not worth my time. Love love love!I just moved to the area and tried Polished Nail Spa for the first time yesterday. It was such a lovely experience. The massage chair was great AND I was offered a complimentary glass of wine. The salon is clean and doesn't smell like strong chemicals at all. They were very accommodating, even when I needed three of my nails repainted because I smudged the polish. The owner even walked me to my car to make sure I didn't ruin my nails again... hahaha. Everything and everyone here is AMAZING ! I came here after a meeting at last minute before going back home . I felt a bit bad for not making an appointment but I got there & they were so kind as to take me in for an eyebrow wax. I messed up my own eyebrows, because when don't we when looking in the mirror for too long? They are really kind & their price is so reasonable. I used to go to Benefit but the one here in Goleta at Ulta is not all great. Ulta in general just has bad customer service, at least here. The price compared to Ulta is great! Far exceeded my expectations! Even one bad review for a nail salon on Yelp can scare me off, but I decided to give this place a shot and I'm so glad that I did! The manager, Lloyd, is super friendly and greeted me by name right when I walked in (I called ahead). First, I did eyebrow wax ($15) and half arm wax ($30) with Kimberly. She was very precise and took her time (she also does threading). Next, I got a deluxe pedi ($37) and basic mani ($18) with Misa. I opted for the deluxe pedi because of the callus removal and extra massage (very worth it, in my opinion). Misa was such a pro and so friendly, asking me questions about myself and even offering tips about the area since I just moved here! Overall environment is calm, quiet, clean and pretty. Relaxing instrumental music adds to the ambiance. Price is slightly more expensive than I used to pay back in LA, but the service is far superior. Lloyd actually takes the time to walk around and check on everyone. He even offered me a glass of wine! Then he proceeded to walk me out to my car, start my car, and put my seatbelt on so that I wouldn't mess up my nails! Seriously?! Unparalleled service!!! Read Less

Really clean, pretty, and serene environment! Was extremely impressed with the place and their ability to do nails. Amy did my nails, I got coffin nails($45), and hands down the best nails I have ever gotten. She really knows what she's doing, extremely recommend her :)! I've been coming to Polished for a few months now and I absolutely love it! We are always greeted by name and promptly seated with a glass of wine. I've even been set up with a phone charger when I complained to my friend that my phone was dying. That's a level of service you just don't find very often. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth is unmatched, and the atmosphere and design of the salon is amazing. I feel instantly relaxed when I walk in! It is clean and well stocked on color selection. They are a little bit expensive, but so is nearly everything else in Santa Barbara and Goleta. Prices are too high. I sat down and was quoted a price then all of a sudden it went from $35 then to $45 ? After she started my nails already!? Plus they did not last long at all they looked like crap after a week and a half. I think paying $50 including $5 tip is WAY too much for French gel manicure! Not even acrylics!? That's how much I pay for acrylics Not just gel French? I read another girls comment and they did the same to her, up charged her after she already agreed on the price so this is why I'm writing this because they did it to me too. I did not like how she up'd the price after I sat down and already agreed to the original price. That's not cool. Made me feel very uncomfortable! I came to this salon roughly 5 days ago for a gel manicure. I've been here once before this time and I thought it was decent, so I returned. The inside of the salon is really nice and very spa-like, relaxing and clean. I live in Los Angeles, but I grew up in Santa Barbara and I thought I would try this local salon again. First of all, I get a gel manicure almost every two weeks down in LA and it costs $28 + tip. This gel manicure at Polished was $36 + tip. Which to start, is WAY over priced, especially for this poor quality manicure. But I went along with it anyways. Second, they seemed very understaffed for a Saturday so there was a wait and the man working the front desk had to do my friend's pedicure because there was no one else to do it. So that left him to try and multi-task at doing her toes and greeting/receiving payment from everyone else in the salon. Alas, his attention was not on my friend. Third, my gel manicurist was very stand-offish and it felt very judgmental. He continuously kept coughing on my hands while he was painting them. He would start coughing and would not pull away to cover his mouth... he would just cough RIGHT ON MY HANDS. Which is disgusting. I tipped him because I think morally that it what you're supposed to do, but really I could have skipped out on the tip and I could have saved $5. The picture posted with this review is what my nails looked like after 2 days. 2 DAYS!! This type of manicure is supposed to last AT LEAST 2 weeks. NOT DAYS. Mine usually begin chipping at about a week and a half-two weeks. I don't think they did an even mediocre job and he really didn't seem to care at all about the quality of his work. I am very disappointed with this service and I feel as if I have wasted $41 that I will never get back. I usually avoid leaving bad reviews for a place, because I know it's not easy to run a business and please everyone. However, I had the worst experience on my birthday.. I had gone here to get a acrylic refill before going to dinner tonight. When i arrived the lady told me to pick out a color and take a seat in the first chair. All of the nail artists were sitting on their phones/ipads in the pedicure seats, after about 10 minutes of sitting and waiting i decided to get up leave. I said to the lady who was sitting on her ipad "thank you, but i have class soon. i'll just go somewhere else", she apologized and told me she'd start doing my nails. Once i finally sat down to actually get my nails done, i had told the lady i just needed a refill, that i called ahead and they said it was going to be $20 because i only had $25 ($20 for the nails and $5 for a tip). Once she started doing my nails she told me it was going to be $30. This was after she took off my color and started filing my nails, i told her i only had $25 and that no one had told me it was going to be $30. She began talking to the other artist in Vietnamese and getting flustered with me. I had then said "i was told the incorrect amount of money, i can go somewhere else". She said i should do that and began ripping my nails off. She did such a sloppy job that my nails are completely damaged and my thumb nail was ripped to the skin so it's also very painful. It's a shame because i usually had gone to get my nails done here because of the convenance of how close it was, however after this experience i will never be returning. I will attach some pictures of what my nails look like now, they're so badly damaged that i'm afraid to go somewhere else to have someone try and fix them. Read Less
