I love this place. Was so worried because I went by last month and they were unexpectedly closed. I have had several manicures here and usually go with my friend who does the pedicures too and they do a wonderful job and the place is light, friendly, tv, and the massage chairs are wonderful. A few years ago, I splurged on a flower on my big toe, and that flower did not come off or chip ever, until the nail grew out, months later. Uncanny! This used to be my favorite nail shop in Goleta, as I was a loyal customer for over a year. Yet, one afternoon I got a set of acrylic gel nails done and messed up a nail on my way home. When I went back to get the nail fixed the very next day, not only was I ridiculed for "being clumsy" in front of all the other customers, but was also denied service. They claimed they were too busy to help me and that if they fixed one nail today, there would probably be another nail messed up tomorrow. After spending 50$ per nail session for over a year at this salon, I am highly disappointed with how I was treated as a customer. I will NEVER spend another dime at Lovely Nails. If you want to be valued as a customer and treated with respect on every occasion DO NOT get your nails done here, they don't even value long time customers, and probably won't treat new ones kindly either. I was visiting my mom and we decided to get pedicures, so we came to Lovely Nails and Spa. My mom got the regular pedi and I got the deluxe. I chose a blue glitter polish from a huge variety of choices, then sat down in my vibrating massage chair. The service was impeccable. My lovely provider gave a great foot massage. The Jasmine body scrub and clay mask really woke up and revitalized my legs and feet, which had been hurting for months. The folks working were so friendly and welcoming, as well as proficient. I've been here a few times and the experience I just had was not worth $55. The deluxe pedicure was not worth the price. The gentleman literally rubbed a lot of lotion on my legs softly and tickled my feet, softly... the polish on my feet looks good but on my hands it looks like I painted my own nails, which isn't the quality I expect when I go get my nails done. My coworkers and I go to lovelys for our gels. I like them. The lady that sits on the first row closest to the pedicure chair did my gels. She did a really good job. She followed all state board regulations! I'm a cosmetologist so going to nail salons can be a huge nightmare but so far the 4 times I've been there I've had a clean great experience. While the customer service was great, the quality of the manicure I received was far from the best. I went in to get my nails done for an upcoming wedding and I got a full acrylic set. The manicurist I had did not know what she was doing. Many of my nails are unevenly filed and crooked. I asked the manicurist many times to file them evenly and they still did not come out even. I came out very unhappy with the end result. Also they did not do anything to treat my cuticles or nail beds. Now I am stuck with crooked, uneven nails. Can't say I will be coming back here again. Just got my nails done their tonight and they were pretty good.  However, you need to pay attention to when they are shaping your nails.  I had to tell the gentlemen a couple of times to fix some areas.  I don't do gels or acrylics so they couldn't do too bad of a job. Read Less

Went with my 2 friends about a half hour before closing. After we all chose our colors I asked if I could get acrylics, to which one of the workers said there was no time and I said I would just get gel instead. Both my friends got seated and worked on while I waited for almost 40 minutes. Another customer walked in and even though it was past closing, they decided to accept her anyway because it seemed like she had been there before. One of my friends had to ask if they were still going to do my nails and they had forgotten about me! They thought that I wanted acrylics or nothing at all. I told them (again) what I wanted and after realizing their mistake, Mimi took good care of me. Overall it took a long time, but I'm satisfied with my manicure even though I could probably do just as good a job doing my own nails. Shop is clean, but they definitely need more workers. Read Less

Did a decent job but nothing to write home about . I think I could have pulled off the same quality in my living room but I think it was just the person who did my nails because the 2 people I was with had a better experience. My nails werent shaped very well. There was paint on the top and edges when I left, it wasnt properly cleaned off so looked sloppy like a kid did it! Pretty awesome nail place! Got helped as soon as I walked in, and my manicure was fast, thorough, and painless! The nail salon is very clean, they put a lot of effort in to their work, and the prices are pretty good! While I was in there I noticed a lot of regulars came in, I think I may be a regular now too! After numerous failed attempts at finding my favorite nail salon, I have finally found this place. Thank goodness!!I have always been hesitant at getting manicures because my past experiences have been awful. This place restored my faith in all nail salons! (jk, I'll stick to just this place for now.)I had Diane and she was great. She did a French gel manicure on me and she was efficient and thorough. The price was $35, which is fairly reasonable in my opinion. (I got a plain gel manicure at Elegant Nails & Spa for $33 and they cut my finger...so...)The staff here was very friendly and the place was clean. You could see this machine where they sterilize towels. I am so grateful for this place. I don't know why I didn't not come here sooner since it's right next to Albertson's. Read Less

My mani lasted a few days - and it was shellac. I was pretty disappointed that it didn't make it through my entire vacay.My Pedi was not shellaced and lasted longer. We also had a set of acrylics put on - that chipped within a few days.This is great if you're doing for the day of the event or a day prior but I wouldn't expect it to last for 2+ weeks (which is what I'm used to).
