I live in Glendora and I have really come to love this place. This rating is for the front desk girl with the attitude problem. I've been coming here for just over 2 yrs now and I will NEVER come bK on a Sunday again!The last 2 visits were in a Sunday and both times I had to deal with her stank ass attitude. I can't even stand to look at her face now. She barely makes eye contact when she speaks to you, so she comes off as super condescending. She never smiles or grins and she bosses the girls around like she owns the place. She's just a B*%#*h!!! She talks down to you for no reason like she's somebody special and I wish they would just fire her. She worked there before they changed owners and I was so relieved when I didn't see her around until I saw her on Sundays. Whatever it is I can't go back there with her around. Today I got to the register before the other customer. I asked If I could pay w/cash and she said "no" b/c she already closed the drawer and counted the cash I guess. I had exact change! Then she asked if she insisted on helping the women behind me first b/c she knew her total. I told her it was $35, but she insisted on waiting for the girl to come back and tell her again. WTF, I need to go to woman! I was standing next to the register b/c the other customer was waiting for her change and she asked me to walk around to sign my receipt and made the other women move. I'm standing rt here I can sign it just fine. Your counter is 3ft wide and 9" deep. Why do I insist on wasting my time??!She wouldn't even open the cash drawer to break a $20 so I could tip the girl and asked the nail girl run and break a $20 for her 2x. Whatever Queenie. You need to watch your tone with people your just a child. The girls are super nice and accommodating, they do great work and That's coming from a picky person. The can do nail art and they have a great color selection. My last gel nail set lasted almost a month! That's a record for me. So I won't stop coming, I'll just be coming by less frequently, unless   I see that receptionist's face. I'm outta there. Read Less

This was my second time trying this place out. It is really cute which makes you want to love it. Do not be fooled by the cute decor. Unfortunately it is the last time I will give them a chance. The nail tech went shorter than I asked & Did not follow my request for a coffin shape. Every Time she asked "like that or more coffin" I'd answer "more coffin" but all she would do is file the length down. She seemed to be rushing & layed the tips  Crooked. Then claimed the color I wanted was "discontinued" & showed me a color completely different than what I picked from a pallet that said $32 vs. the color I picked from a $28 labeled pallet. The hostess came over to ask if I was paying Cash or Card a couple minutes after I sat down which I felt was very strange as I have never been asked this question at the beginning of a nail appt. I'm writing this review because I absolutely love Pastel. Very cute salon and I'm always offered a water, soda, or tea. Ever since I started coming here my nails have always been on point. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment. For those who don't, don't be mad when you have to sit there and wait. They get pretty busy on weekends! I've never really had any issues with nails breaking, gel chipping, etc. There are times where I can go 3 weeks without a fill. My friend and I had such a bad experience with the dip gel. The girl that did my nails yelled at me because the color that I chose was completely different from the one that I picked. She redid them but was rude the entire time. The second time I picked a gray color and it came out white and sparkly. My friend also got a grey that turned out purple. Then once she finished my nails and lotioned them she yelled at me because she smudged them and then had audacity to tell me that I didn't wait for them to dry. WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS PLACE! I'm super disappointed about this nail salon because it's so cute inside and I really wanted to love it. I've been looking for a new nail spa in my area and unfortunately this place won't be it.The interior is super cute, there is good parking on the side, but overall I was not happy with my service. The lady doing my pedicure was super nice and overall that part of the treatment was great! I got the "jelly" spa pedicure where they soak your feet in a jelly scent of your choice (I chose rose). As far as my gel manicure, everything was fine until my manicurist (I think her name was Helen) asked if I wanted a design. I said yes and she brought over some stencils to do a rose design with chrome glitter. She tried it once and I guess it came out bad because she quickly wiped it off and asked someone else to try one. Another lady came over and did the design on ONE nail and then left for the day. The deign was beautiful! Then my manicurist tried the other hand... but the when she put on the top coat, the glitter smeared. She was ready to let me leave like that but I pointed it out and she did it again, only for the SAME result. She could tell I was not happy at all. I had one beautiful chrome rose and one smeared rose glitter.... it was not nice at all. She then offered to either charge me $10 for the design I was not happy with OR to take it off and charge me $5. I am so unhappy because the design on one nail that the other lady did was so beautiful, but since this other lady couldn't reproduce that, I was forced to take it off and also pay $5. This is the one time in my life that I didn't tip a nail lady, because I was so upset that she asked me if I wanted a design then couldn't do it.... and charge me $5 still for her mistake. I have been going here for a couple of months and it had been a hit or miss with 2 different technicians I wont say any names. Mainly one.. well, on this day she seemed grumpy and was eager to pass me over to a different person bc as she claimed she doesn't do acrylics. I had 2 broken nails that needed an overlay to keep the length. Anyway I agreed to have her pass me over. Mind you, I was thinking never to go back but, I actually really liked the new technician. The place looks modern and comfy but they nickel and dime you for everything. Not worth the wait; dry greeting at the door, the lady I had was slow and meticulous which is great when the shop is empty or you have no appointments waiting... I was handed a stack of gel colors that was thicker than my 6 inch medical journal. They offered everyone around me a drink (soda or water) but failed to offer me anything... The front desk chick rushed through potential (walk-in/scheduled) clients and talked to they staff as if they were children... Take off acrylic = $5. Plain color gel $28. If you want ‘rockstar’ sparkles, add at least $15 more... $50 for a full set... Came in with a friend and was asked if I was paying for the friend at least three times... After I said no the first time why keep asking me!?! No massage chair for the pedicure. Be ready to step up onto a pedestal in order to get your pedicure... I love this place. A friend of mine recommended it to me & I haven't gone anywhere else since. My nails usually fall off after about a week of having them, but these one last! Because Shirley takes her time with you. She makes sure you walk out happy! I will never let anyone touch my nails again! I'm a bad nail biter and I haven't bitten my nails for over a month. Why do I wanna ruin such pretty nails?!They didn't have the exact colors I wanted because they were out of the glitter and the blue was empty but she made sure she could find a similar blue and the other lady brought out a very similar glitter. Don't come here without an appointment. My mom had to wait over 35 minutes. Then they sat her down for the manicure and took another 15 minutes to get started. Very pretty atmosphere. We may try it another time and see how the experience is.  Had to be better than the first time, we hope.UPDATE:Shirley did my mom's hand nails and did a great job and was very sweet to her. We are going back in the morning for my mom's pedicure at 10am...we made an APPOINTMENT with Shirley. My mom is 80 years old. She really liked Shirley ;)My mom had her pedicure and she loved it!!! This place was wonderful -- $18 pedicure ($5 upcharge for French manicure) with Sherry. The shop itself is bright and whimsical. Big white tufted "thrones" (sorry no massage chairs), lavender walls and crystal chandelier. There's plenty of parking because it's in an upscale shopping plaza with a lot.Sherry is warm and conversational, recommending several of her favorite local restaurants when I asked. She did a great job massaging my legs with hot stones, pumicing my heels (no easy feat after flip flops all summer). I did think the white edging was too thicker (definitely thicker than the last couple of times I had it don) but hey, it was also $15 cheaper and way more pleasant.I'll be back! Read Less

This place has gone downhill since the management change. The nail polish used to be organized by color and looked neat and tidy. That made it so easy to pick the color you were looking for. Looks like the current management doesn't take the time to do that. Also, making an appointment is hit and miss. Sometimes they'll see you, other times they won't. They still have a ton of color options, which tempts me to go there. But there are better salons in the area now. Read Less

Cynthia and Lisa were very professional. Took their time on me and only me during my appt. Cynthia is very thorough, and did an amazing job on my full set (coffin shaped). Lisa did my pedi, she was so sweet, had a soft touch, and the hot stone massage was icing on the cake! Their pricing is on the high side, but I have zero complaints. Pastel Nails is my fave place to go because they offer Rockstar Nails..which is awesome! The customer service is good...and I personally haven't had any issues..but like any other business, I'm sure they have their days. I plan on trying all the colors on the Rockstar palette!!! Ha ha Read Less

I walked in on 6/20 @ 450pm they close at 6pm asked how long the wait would be. Samantha advise me around 30 min. When I was going to walk out she stopped me and told me 20 min or sooner because a lady was almost done. I said ok and waited. Took 30 min before getting in a chair. Waited another10-15 to hear a lot of whispering about how it was almost closing time. I just thought someone said they would do my pedicure because I already waited. 15 to 20 min later Samantha came to me and told me that it was closing time and no one could do it. This place is cute and they do a great job..if you can get in, theres only two employees working at any given time. I have been turned away four times and have watched other customers turned away, I have tried to get in during the week on non busy days, even making an appointment doesn't help.
