I have now called to make an appointment for a second time, and this location has come up with an excuse as to why they can't take customers both times. That's super weird and I've never heard of this, up until now. I'm calling as a courtesy and appointments at nail salons are not always mandatory, I haven't even tried this place and I'm already getting a shady vibe from them. Both times I've called were before 12 pm- once on Sunday and the other on a Wednesday. Definitely a bad business move on your part, considering there are at least 4 nails salons on the same side of the street within a 1/2 mile radius from you! Read Less

This review is mainly for Ani since I get my nails done with her. I've gotten acrylics with a lot of different nail techs from other places but I can NEVER trust anyone else with my nails besides Ani. She always makes my nails look natural and I never have to emphasize on how I want them thinner/less clumpy because she takes her time and doesn't rush through her work. My friend recommended Ani to me and I've passed it onto my two best friends who have never trusted another nail lady since. I am such a picky person when it comes to my nails and for all these years I would never wear acrylic nails because I could never find anyone who would do them perfectly... then there was Ani!!! So I spent God knows how long looking for a salon to take me in last minute who would do a Hard Gel Mani (hardest thing a manicurist could do). I've heard of this place but never actually been here. I called them and they gave me an appointment a hour after I called. That was PERFECT for my schedule!!! (+1 star) I walked in and the place was beautiful!!! It was also extremely clean and I saw them sterilizing their tools. (+1 star) The receptionist was nice and knew exactly who I was. My appointment was at 12:00 and I got there 12:05. I had to wait about 10 minutes, which was good considering the fact that it was a last minute appointment and I was a little late. (+1 star) I believe the manicurist's name was Kara/Cara. She was so sweet and made me feel comfortable since it was my first Hard Gel Mani. And she listened to my requests since I'm very picky. She even allowed me to go put more money in the meter since I parked on Brand. Hard Gel Manis are very hard and take a lot of skill. She did it perfectly!!! It wasn't too thick so it looks natural. And it isn't so thin for it to break. It's just right. She also took her time! (+1 star) Now the hard part...the only reason why I'm not giving the full 5 stars is because when you look really close at my nails, you can see a little of the polish being uneven. I was also a little annoyed that I was told 35$ over the phone but was charged 45$. It wasn't a big deal because I was happy with the service. I was more disappointed about the uneven polish. It doesn't show unless you look really up close. But I have OCD so I notice tiny things and they'll bug me till the end. Overall, it was a pretty good place and I'll definitely be coming back. Hopefully I'll update this to the full 5 stars.UPDATE: I went three times total with the same manicurist..she would constantly annoy me with pointless convos. Which wouldn't be too bad..if she wasn't trying to get me into other services. She commented on my eyebrows (which I love, including my eyebrow lady) and how real Armenian girls (like the ones straight out of the mother lands..apparently I'm fake since I'm born here) like a higher arch. Mind you I have an arch. Just not to my forehead like others. She would constantly try and get me to do my brows with her. Or do soft gel on hard gel. Or designs (which she couldn't even do a simple one I showed her...and got the colors wrong. Like it was bad and embarrassing). I only wanted hard gel so I can grow my nails out (I hate acrylic). I would have gone to her for regular soft gel (gel polish) manis but I just can't handle it. Like I come to relax and look good after. Not get annoyed and put down. Plus the chairs are uncomfortable...and before their management decides to leave an annoying response saying something stupid like I wasn't there like some places do, I paid with a credit card and this review is for a couple months ago. I have been coming to Flawless for over a year now and not once have I ever had a bad and unpleasant experience. Lucy and Jasmin who are the owners are the sweetest and kindest ladies. It's an absolute pleasure to be able to come here every month. One thing that I would like to point out that you won't typically see at other nail salons is how well maintained flawless are at keeping the cleanliness at all times considering everything is white inside. Gel mani and reg pedi for $40 = sweet deal. Chic ambience with water and coffee service. Optional designer manicure for extra $5. Lynn should be a no-fail person to go to. Appointments have been easy and pleasant.You really can't beat Koreatown's nail shops for their high standard of clean work by perfectionist technicians. They are truly masters in nail art. However, for simple polish, I don't want to have to make the drive to ktown. I've tried several shops in Glendale with many misses but after combining the score in price, ambience, and quality of work, Flawless is superior in the vicinity of Glendale.
