What do you do when your Prince Charming is a masculine alpha man, a take charge kind of guy with facial scruff and deep sexy voice that melts your heart when he talks to you and you just want to drop to your knees in his presence but he's got rough callus'd hands and long yellow toenails that should've been cut 3 weeks ago but the relationship is rather new so you don't want to say anything bad and you don't want to touch his feet?  Well, you tell him you're going to surprise him with something pleasant and insist on driving the car yourself and take him to the nearest nail salon place.  So that's how we ended up here, lol, on a couple's mani pedi date, much to his chagrin ... he kept shaking his head no, it's too metro.My big manly man and I were seated side-by-side on the massage chairs, 2 ladies working on him, massaging his hands and his feet before cutting his nails and toenails, hot oil treatment and callus remover ....  while I got the very nice gay guy who spoke Vietnamese working on my feet, he seemed quite knowledgeable and experienced, picked up the fact that I walk or jog a lot and how that affected one of my toenails and etc. so that was helpful information, and the lady who did my nails took her time shaping my nails and sloughing off cuticles before putting on nail polish, always a good sign, nothing rushed or hurried.  So both of us were treated well, not bad for $36 for mani pedi per person, plus whatever extra fee was for the hot oil treatment and callus remover.  The result, my man's palms were soft (not all girls like the feeling of being manhandled by rough hands, you know) and I didn't have to look at his long yellow toenails anymore, yay!  "We shall never speak of this," my handsome man said to me half jokingly when we got back in the car, and I laughed and I was happy.  You know a guy really likes you when he does things he normally wouldn't do ... but for you, he did.  And when I asked him if he's ever going to tell his bro's he got a mani pedi, he replied, i'll tell the guys i had two girls working on my external appendage at the same time.  Omg.  Smh.  Lol.  :) Read Less

Walk-in with my fellow mani/pedi enthusiast (big sis!) on a NOT busy day for them. I have been to A BUNCH of nail salons/spas and this place has so much potential, especially with such talented nail technicians as Daniel (SOOOO Nice and Professional!!) but they FAIL at some major points, to be outlined below. Place is very conveniently located in the Amerige Town Center right off Malvern Avenue, with PLENTY of parking, and enough staff to get your nails done even if you didn't think to make an appointment first.BUT:1) Lady doing nails in first station to the left when walking into nail shop is SUPER RUDE. Not ONCE did she check in to see if my sister was happy with the length/color/work she was doing. Once or twice when my sister did start to say "that's good, it's short enough," the lady TOTALLY waved it off like "I just cut this off"....umm....WHAT???I was sitting right next to my sister (me being the lucky goose with Daniel as my nail tech/artist, was having a WONDERFUL time, watching Daniel's patient and CARING hands do magic on my nails) and I can tell my sister growing more and more like, meh....and....no....Yeah, I hope you don't get stuck with this lady :(2) They definitely need to listen to the previous Yelp reviews and make an effort to clean their stations and TOOLS better. 5:45 on Sunday. They close at 7. My normal nail spot was closed so I decided to come by to see if this place was any good. I should have just waited one more week. It was not busy at all. All I wanted was a gel manicure for my natural nails. My nail lady was pleasant but the work I left with was anything but. I took these the day after. I didn't work so there was no way I could have chipped them. They're lumpy and bubbled at the end. They have a ton of air bubbles as well. I'm devastated. Be careful who you get. It's pretty extreme. They're either really good or terrible. The lady i got messed up so terribly on my design request, took 1.5 hours on a simple gel design, charged me almost as much as an acrylic (she made up her own price since i used my own "difficult" design?) AND when i gave her the tip to split it with the woman who did my pedicure, she tried to keep the whole thing and tried to avoid my comment to split the tip by repeating to me "the woman who did your pedicure is over there" and wouldn't let go of my tip.... all the edges of the design are round and doesn't reach the edges of my finger AND the edges are so messy. How does someone not know how to do a matte design? In the middle of her MESSY service, she admits "I've never done matte before" and continued the massacre. I recommend Sessy Nail in Placentia. You think nice location, elegant decor, looks clean....I come in no receptionist, that's the first sign business isn't so great, second my mom spent five minutes in the doorway explaining she needs gel removal and new gel manicure. I go to sit down and the lady is confused I just want my nails filed not cut, she tells me to put my feet in the water, I put one foot in and burned myself is scalding hot water. What a little game they play, it's a hot summer day I'm pregnant with sweaty feet, why not make the water room temp but after I got my foot burned off I quickly told my mom lets go " lets go!" These women are apathetic about their job and they don't care about you.This location spends their money on rent that the service is so bad; please don't spend your money here, at least on Wednesdays at 11am. I've been coming here with my mom since I was little. The workers are now like family friends and they're all very sweet. A couple months ago, one of them even talked to me about college and her children. Super kind people! :")I usually get french-tip gel but today I got acrylic gel nails. It was $39, which was more than I usually pay for my manicures, but I don't regret it one bit.I FEEL LIKE KYLIE JENNER!! That's how good Kimberly did my nails.I told her it was my first time getting fakes and she patiently gave me all the information I needed. (How I could pick the length I wanted, how long it would take to apply them, etc.)The reason my review isn't a 5 is because sometimes, even with gel, the polish would come off after a brief amount of time, which isn't normal. The worst experience 😡 The the ladie that did my pedicure was busy looking at everybody else she did a terrible job my nails were uneven and literally spend 8 min on the entire pedicure . Literally the worst customer service ever. I walked in telling them i wanted white pearl and they said they could do it for a certain price. Then after she filled my nails and was about to paint them they said they don't have pearl white and the next closest thing is chrome which is $10 more. I got a gift cert to this shop, it's not my normal spot, and I won't be returning. I went with my cousin and we both left unhappy . They weren't THAT busy and we were rushed through our entire service . My arm massage was about 30 seconds long- for both arms.My gel manicure is sloppy, the bottom just bleeding over onto my skin, which she tried to file off my skin afterwards (it hurt and did no good). I got my nails done Saturday, it is only Tues and TWO of my nails are chipped. Maybe I got the wrong person, but I am woefully disappointed. Especially since I now have to pay my regular shop to fix them.Please consider going to a different shop if you want a clean job that will last more than 72 hours. Read Less

She really listened about the length and shape of my nails. But when she wasn't able to convince me to get gel, she sloppily applied the polish and told me not to mess up my nails under the dryer because she didn't have time to redo anything. Just had my nails done on Friday by Molly.  She did an amazing job.  I had an acrylic fill with gel polish, French style.  My cuticles are very tender and dry.  I explained that to Molly and she was very careful.  Molly also spoke very good English.  I will be back for sure. Read Less

I've been going here for about 10 years and my dream team is always Lisa for gel mani and Cindy for pedi. I'm a perfectionist and like my mani/pedi to be clean (no lumps, air bubbles, drips, polish on my skin) and they always take care of me. Other great manicurists I'd recommend highly are: Tina, Molly, Dan, and Kimberly. All excellent! I've posted some pics of my most recent manicures. My only caveat is that they may be a little more expensive than other nail salons but once you find a manicurist you like, it's hard to go anywhere else! Read Less

went in for acrylic full set french tip, the tip looks crocked so i went back and complain, tiffany did my nails and was happy to fix it, but then after fixing i noticed there was a bubble on the nails , french tip nails should look neat and elegant, but mine was dirty and ugly so i complain again. I hate to go back but I paid $46 for the nails that im completely dissatisfied, i came back and now they charge me extra $12 if i want it fix.what happen to the $46 that suppose to give me nice looking nails??? but whatever I paid the $12 so i can get this over with but def never ever coming back to this place! I have been coming to this salon since it opened. The last few times I have gone in I noticed the quality was very poor. I thought that Tina was very busy and backed up or just having a bad day, hoping the next time I came in it would be better.  The next time I returned she was very rude! She suggested I get a new set so I got a new set. After getting the new set I noticed the acrylic was not even on the entire nail bed . I pointed it out to her and she completely ignored me. When she finished, the nail polish was not on the entire nail. I showed her and she claimed it was my finger not my finger nail. One of the other girls fixed it because Tina yelled at me and said "If I fix it for you, don't come back!" I will never go back after getting a full set that looked like I needed a fill. Been coming here for a while and okay services but this last time I went I complained about getting gel and it coming off after 4 days. The lady just told me, ohhh. No apologies. After I was done getting my nails done again and it was time to pay I said, can I get a discount because of the previous 4 day job and she gave me the craziest look. The first time I came, Jennifer did an amazing job.  Unfortunately when I went In a few days ago, the woman doing my toes was nice but not very focused on my pedicure. She was looking to the side the entire time and talking to her coworker. I noticed later that she didn't even finish painting my big toe. Very disappointing but will try one more time with Jennifer. I actually felt bad because my older acrylic were very hard to take off, therefore I can tell my nail lady was having a hard time. So this was my last attempt to give professionail a try. I read a bunch of reviews that said to go to Molly..so I did. She was very kind and sweet, however she did a bad job on my nails. I'm not exactly sure what people were saying, but I was very disappointed. I don't understand how they can allow customers to leave with the quality of work they perform. The last time I went in one of the nail ladies left hair in the gel nail polish. And once she put it in the gel-soak off machine it was too late to take it off. She did this on 2 of my nails. How they have a license to do this. I do not know. In too of that they give you attitude when you don't leave a good enough tip. Well I'm sorry. I tip based on quality of work. Read Less

For soooooo long these people have exploited the fact that they were the only nail salon in the west Fullerton/Amerige heights vicinity.... They charge way too much, the wait is always ridiculous - even with an appointment, the service is terrible, their work is subpar, the attitudes of the nail techs are bad and snippy or pushy. Genuinely speaking, I love this place. I've been going here to get manicures and pedicures since I was little, and they have never disappointed me! Everything from acrylics, pedicures, and eyebrow waxing has been really great. I love getting my eyebrows done here and I come to get a fill every 2 weeks :) Honestly I've had probably every lady here do my nails at some point (some a little better than others) and they overall do a good job! I get compliments on my nails and I get asked where I get them done often enough to where I know that Professionail does above average work.The negative reviews make me sad bc I've gone to other nail places on a whim and Professionail always seems to be the place I come back to! My nails looked better going in than coming out. I wanted my acrylics removed for a new job and a new polish. Lady must have not seen my polish sitting there the whole time because after my acrylics came off, she put "shiny buff" and couldn't paint my nails. I paid 22$ for her to remove my acrylics and give me a shitty manicure. If I can upload pictures I will! Even left junk all over my nails.Update: after going back in and causing a scene, I left with no resolve still. I have been a client of Professionail for 6 years (at least 3 times a month) and find the team to be professional, polite, always working on sanitizing their tools/spa tubs, etc. I frequently have little time to do my nails and they always do their best to get me out on time... this is a great place to get your nails done!
