Called for an appointment and was happy that they could fit me in right after work. I've actually have had my nails done by Norma and An way back in the day when they worked at Julie's Nail Room. They have a great color selection and I was happy that they had the color I've been wanting this whole season; Less is Norse. Norma took off my previous gel and was painting one hand, before her other customer came and An took over. My left hand, which Norma did is flawless. My right hand has chipped a little. Only things I don't like was that An forgot to put a gel topcoat on and I had to ask a couple times, before she realized that she didn't. Which was a honest mistake, since two people did my nails. Norma is incredible! She is the epitome of treating your customers the way you'd like to be treated. She was very gentle, kind, caring, and brought my nails back to life. I love Norma and An! So sweet and welcoming. Lotus was recommended to me by my cousin and after my first visit, I've been coming here ever since! If you're looking for A1 quality, come here. I followed An and Norma from Nailbox. I regularly see An for gel manicure and pedicure. She is professional, on time and does great work. They don't typically take walk ins which is great for people who make regular appts. You don't have to worry about getting pushed back or being asked to come later like at some salons. My first time here and An was so nice and such a perfectionist! Things I didn't notice she did and would redo it until it was perfect. I am so glad I found this spot! It is small - only 2 pedi chairs and 2 mani stations - but it is CLEAN and relaxing! The whole time I was there the music was 90's/2000's R&B and it was like I was in high school again. Loved it. An told me that the signage out front was just installed today so you can see it from Stevenson while driving by. I'm a big fan of Norma and I have followed her to her own salon from two other local salons. Norma is a perfectionist and my nails always look great after I see her. I like that she is never pushy and is honest. When my nails need a break she tells me and we buff them and leave them polish- free a few weeks so they have time to recuperate. I'm pretty conservative about colors and designs but Norma can handle a range of clients- if you want fancy designs and sparkles she can do it or if you are just looking for polished, pretty nails she can do that too. Honestly one of the cutest nail salons I've been to! It's super clean, chic, and welcoming! An did my pedicure and she was very nice and even offered me a nice cold sangria on that hot day! And the best part was the music- I've been enjoying listening to 90's R&B lately, so it was great hearing and singing along to the songs while being pampered. Such a cute spot! Shout out to Norma and An for being able to open their own nail bar. I first started seeing them both at their past nail salon, and I couldn't stay away! They both are great nail techs and know what they are doing. These sweet girls know how to keep their clients happy with good conversation and of course yummy drinks such as coffee, sangria, Moscato, etc. They also provide a great selection of colors to choose from. Super small nail salon! But it's 1. extremely clean, and 2. has great customer service! These are a must for me when I'm looking for a nail salon. I just moved to Fremont, and needed to find a new nail salon, and I think I found it! IMPORTANT: appointment only, no walk-ins! I love this fact.My last place accepted walk-ins and it totally messed with quality of service. My appointment was rushed just so my nail lady could get more customers in her chair. An did both my mani/pedi. She was attentive and took her time with her work. I suppose if you're a girl in a rush, this may not be the place for you... but schedule your appointment when you have 2 hours for your mani/pedi and enjoy the great service you'll receive.My manicure had a lot of little bubbles, maybe because the polish was running a lil thick as it was reaching the end of its lifespan. But my cuticle was cut clean and so nicely. And I got both my hands and feet massaged for a decent amount of time. I did the non-spa pedicure. They place a plastic bag liner in the tub of the pedicure chair. Loved that effort is taken to make sure their clients receive safe pedicures, sans cross contamination.In all I paid $45 for a basic mani/pedi, and left 20% tip. Well worth it! NORMA + ANI've been knowing both Norma and An for almost 3 years now. They have first gained me as a customer when I discovered them at Julie's Nail Room. I've then become a loyal customer of Norma's, and I followed her to Nailbox Studios. I am very proud that the two of them decided to venture off into their own business. And of course, I gladly supported (and will continue to support) them at their new location.They are both the sweetest, kindest, and most gentle nail technicians you'll ever come across!I'm very particular about my nails, and Norma knows exactly how I like them. She is always delicate and attentive (even when I've done the similar neutral shade more than once). I can easily talk to Norma about anything! The same goes for An as well. There is absolutely nothing negative that can be said about either one of them. Norma has become my go-to gal when it comes to my nails. I love her and her work so much, that I've even brought my boyfriend to her for their "Deluxe Pedicure"! (Side note: They have so many stamps/designs for your nails! I have a hard time choosing which one to do when I'm there. Almost any design you can come up with, Norma can get it done!)Their salon is located on the first floor of what looks like an apartment complex. They are right next door to "Millennium Salon". There is a parking lot for the businesses of the building right in front of them. Appointments are made online on Vagaro or via the Vagaro app. Lotus Nail Bar is a cute, quaint place; which is always kept clean and fully stocked with an array of polish choices. The massaging pedicure chairs are so good that you'd want to take them home (as my boyfriend claims), and the pedicure bowls are always freshly lined for each customer (no chance of fungus here). The tools both technicians use are always sterilized, which they open from newly sealed pack for each customer. They also serve a variety of beverages, including sangria.Treat yourself at Lotus Nail Bar! Don't even bother going anywhere else! You won't be disappointed!PS. First of all I've been a client of Norma's for a while so I'm super excited that she has her own shop now! Norma and An are so sweet and genuinely enjoy their craft. Norma has been my go-to girl through out my pregnancy and I've had such a great experience that I've stuck with her since. She is thorough and gentle. I never knew that if you were rough on the nail bed that it could damage them until Norma mentioned it to me. She's careful with her pressure and takes the time to remove gel off my nails with care and patience. I'm super picky with my nails so my favorite thing is that I can simply tell her the shape I want and she shapes them perfectly. With many other nail techs I find myself having to reshape my nails after my appointment, but with Norma they are perfectly shaped and I don't have to mess with them at all. This place is great, but incredibly slow. The past 2 times I have been in here were time sucks. The first time, it took 3 hours for a pedicure (nothing special; one color). My friend and I purchased Groupons for gel manicures and I had a fabulous experience with the technician Annie today. Annie did a great job trimming my cuticles and shaping my nails, making sure to be extra gentle around a spot where my cuticle was cracked and sore.
