DIANA is my girl!i'm sure everyone has seen the infamous instagram page and following for black file, even when i was living in vegas i've come across it and thought, "wow...i wanna get my nails done here!"now that i live in orange county- this has been my go-to spot for the past couple of months! first of all, this place is immaculate! it's trendy, modern, chic and best of all- CLEAN. it's located discreetly in a big shopping center but once you step in you'd be surprised at how big the space is. the parking lot is almost always full, even on week days- so make sure you arrive early so you're not late to your appointment. which brings me to my second point- i'm sure each nail artists have a high demand of appointments to take on so their time is precious. what i mean by that is when you book your appointment, make sure to specify what it is you're getting done. they will include extra time into your appointment if you're wanting nail art/designs or other intricate services. the best thing about it is that you can text their direct line to set up an appointment, which makes things so much easier for people who hate talking on the phone (like me!). make sure to book early in advance as some of the nail artists tend to have limited opening.now on to DIANA, she's my manicurist and she specializes in gel nails. she's the first and ONLY nail tech who has ever gotten me to be satisfied with gel nails. i used to hate how soft and weak it would be and how easily it breaks so i always resorted to acrylics. when diana did my first set of nails, they were short and sad and i told her i was worried they'll break before i can grow them out. WELL, my nails are SO long now it's crazy. she does an amazing job and i never leave disappointed. she always double checks with me to make sure i'm okay with the shape and design and she's an absolute perfectionist! my gel never peels off the way it used to by other techs and i only go to her once a month- because that's how long they last me.i've also gotten pedicures here with megan and she is so attentive as well. their most "baesic" pedicure is only $18! my feet always feel so refreshed and the paint job is always perfect. sometimes you hear about fancier places that overlook their quality or services- black file is definitely a place that can deliver both! I used to really enjoy coming here. Nowadays it seems like I can't even get an appointment at all, no matter how far in advance I call. I'm happy their business is taking off, however I think it sucks I can't even get in here anymore. They either need to hire more technicians or ask to book the next appointment while you're there already, otherwise don't plan on getting in.
