Three of us went in for nail work. We were greeted immediately and in a welcoming tone. They listened to what each of us wanted done. My wife and daughter got their nails done. Took my fiancee to get her eyebrows waxed and the lady started in the middle area and put on too much wax. My fiancee explained that it will take off too much and that's when the lady proceeded anyway and ripped it off. Too far spaced apart now. While we were waiting another customer came in angry saying that she did her nails completely wrong. It seems this place is in the habit of giving you what you don't want. I just left Star Nails and I could'nt be happier ! Tammy did and amazing job on an acrylic full set for me. She took her time ( an hour and a half roughly ) shaped them just the way I wanted, made sure the acrylic stayed on the nail bed and not over my actual skin wich I've had happen before and hate because the nails pop right off. Very clean & good customer service. My daughter got a manicure & pedicure. The young lady was very nice & gentle. She also did a good job on the nail art. I got a full set with gel polish. I have been going to star nails for about 10 years now. I'll admit their were moments of weakness where I got a fill somewhere else and it was not the same and I learned my lesson lol  and I always come back to them. They always do a fantastic job. Always professional and very friendly. I'm a hairdresser so my nails in between appointments get pretty jacked up and they always look amazing when I leave. I would recommend any of the employees there, at some point I have gotten a fill from all of them and I am never disappointed. They have a great selection of colors and a matte top coat for their gel polish which I LOVE! their pedicures are great as well! All around amazing shop to go to! Read Less

This place is close to where I live so I thought I would try it out for a pedicure! They're very good! Long massages, thorough when painting and I appreciated the fact that they didn't try to upsell me with extras that I did not need. They have been here for 20 years and I can see why. Good customer service and good service! Price for a gel pedicure is $35 which is kinda pricey but that is an average cost for gel pedicures in this area. I will be returning! Read Less

Overall great nails. I give them 3 stars because they constantly make me wait about 30 minutes to an hour after my scheduled appointment time. They will double book with other clients and waste your time completely. It's worth the wait if you are seeing Henry. This isn't a very good nail salon. My cousin and I made appointments. They took us right when we got here. I got a fill. She hurt my fingers multiple times. Someone walked in to get their eyebrows done. So while she was in the middle of doing my nails she told me to hold on while she went and did this person's eyrbrows who just walked in. I had an appointment so they should have finished my nails before helping anyone else! I'm actually writing this waiting for her to finish this girls eyebrows. This is the only nail shop I've been to since I m ok 've here from LA. It is close to my home and theu always accommodate quickly. I go to Lisa, she knows what she is doing. I love how she makes the nails look natural and works on cuticles. I recommend Lisa. Make sure you het a stamp card because your 10th nail apt is free. Read Less

He did a fill with gel color and a bow gem accent in literally 30 minutes.I have had such bad luck with trying new salons lately that it's a relief to walk out loving what I paid for. I left another salon right before I came to Star Nails, because the woman didn't want to finish fixing the set she had done four days earlier. Basically I had gone to that salon, they messed up so I went back to have them fixed. After an hour with my nails still looking terrible she said she no longer wished to work for me and she left my nails unfinished. When I was driving towards home I saw Star Nails and walked in. I have never had a fill where my nails were so smooth and even. The atmosphere was really nice too. And I can't forget to mention the humongous selection of gel colors! I live in Folsom currently but used to live close to Star Nails. Once I moved, I tried some other local salons that were closer to me but quickly realized none of them compared to the work Emy or Henry have done for me. I love star nails. I went there to get acrylic nails for my daughter; she'd been begging me for weeks! She had been referred by a friend to ask for Henry. I made a same day appointment and even though Lisa was supposed to be our manicurist, Henry was available and there waiting for us. He was friendly and patient with her exuberance and did a nice job putting them on. She then had them painted by a different person. Meanwhile, a manicure was only $12 so I asked if I could get one while I waited. They accommodated me in about 10 minutes and I was done at the same time as my daughter.
