Terrible nail salon!! I went to get a gel pedi. The girl tried removing my gel polish by ripping it off! Not soaking it. She hurt me so bad by pulling my nail OFF if my nail bed. Went in here because my usual nail salon was busy, I was the only person in there they got me right in and started working on me. I got a gel manicure, the polish wrinkled up which I had never seen before and it clearly did not look smooth or nice. The girl tried sending me out saying I was done and when I told her it looked bad she still tried to tell me it just needed to dry. I believe it was the manager or owner who then came over, and asked me which nails needed to fixed. She just put another coat of polish on the ones that had lines on them and they still look like crap. It looks like I painted them myself. Won't go back. Read Less

Stopped in on a whim while waiting for my dog to be groomed.  Staff was rude to all guests there..an older couple came in to get pedicures done.. The lady doing my nails, while on her cell phone, turned on the water for them and the poor guy had to turn the water off himself because it was about to overflow! The lady doing my basic manicure spoke in her language on her cell phone the entire time I was there.. Used the same instruments on me that I watched her use on the girl before me then when done she insisted I pay with cash instead of a card and she made change out of loose bills in her pocket! So on top of it being TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.. ZERO STARS!My mom and I got my nails done here the day before my wedding. We asked if they did gel manicures and the woman said they did, but then she told us to pick a nail color (regular polish). I asked her for her gel polish but she said what she had works with regular. She insisted that it would work, so being so close to the wedding, we went with it. BIG mistake. The woman put a clear coat of gel on top of the polish and cured it with the lights, but it didn't work! The polish stayed on throughout the night but the next morning, after we showered, the polish peeled right off. Not only was this woman sneaky and willing to lie to get customers, but the place isn't very clean and the staff is rude. The worst, my shop closes early on the weekends and needed a gel manicure. No washing of hands or utensils. At that point I should have left. I let it continue, when the lady insisted on a different color pink I refused, when she thought she was sly to put it on anyways. Luckily it looked okay or else I would've called her out. I stopped in here only because my usual shop was too busy...what a bad learning experience. just wanted an eyebrow wax. my first sign should have been that the blanket on cot looked dirty. after done waxing, the lady slathered vaseline or somekind of petroleum jelly all over my brows, smudged it in my hair and got it in my eyes! when i asked if i could pay with atm she asked if i had cash, so i pulled a $10 out and she rudely snapped it out my hand before i could even hand it to her. I work nearby this shop, and really needed a fill. Decided to hit it up after work. Pressure was on as soon as i walked in, and honestly, i should have known better and just walked out when they tried to sell me a pedicure, a lip wax and an eyebrow wax. All i wanted was a fill, and really hoping for something i could walk to after work. Awful...just awful.I paid and tipped first, as i always do when getting my nails done so i don't ruin the paint job (they were irritated i paid with card and not cash). Always tell myself that i'm justified in doing so cuz if they do a bad job, i'll never give them my money again. This place changed that. I'll never tip blind again. All of my nails are uneven, the experience was extremely painful, they refused to tell me what primer they were using that was causing my skin to burn so badly, and as i was complaining about the pain and the shape of my nails, she was telling me to close my eyes and relax. Yea, right. Don't go here. Worst money i've ever spent for poor service and pain...seriously, pain. Getting your nails done shouldn't hurt. Don't know what they are using, but it BURNS!Oh yea, my polish is as uneven as my nails. After arguing about the shape and symmetry (which is still screwed up) i just let her do what she would with the polish. This is for the "new" nail shop in the Safeway shopping center at the Madison and Hazel intersection. When we arrived, three customers were being Taken! The nail technician had "accidentally" overcharged their credit card, and refused to give cash back. Instead, she pushed a gift certificate on them for her error. I made an immediate mental note to pay cash-only!It got worse: my friend and I had stopped in for pedicures. Although they had enough staff to handle us both, and they agreed to give us pedicures, it was a long, slow process, with him being kept waiting throughout my pedicure. I noticed her method of cleaning her pedicure equipment was to just rinse it off in my used water. I was unimpressed with the gooey massage I received. Then, a pushy woman arrived, and she was served first while my friend was kept waiting a good 30 minutes into his soaking, in chilling lukewarm water. My best friend noticed his nail tech used the dirty towel to just wipe off her instrument she used to cut his cuticles. As for the final product:  The paint job on my nails is uneven and bumpy, and then she skipped my top coat! The likelihood this polish will last longer than a week is low! This is the worst pedicure I'd ever gotten.I've only entered this shop once before, the week before my pedicure. Then there were four technicians sitting around, all pushing services on me. I asked for a lip wax, and the woman argued with me! She told me my eyebrows were in bad shape, essentially bullying me into purchasing more services from her.   Now: My upper lip has developed bumps on it for the first time ever..This appears to be a poorly run, rundown shop with rude and unsanitary practices. I have been coming to this nails shop for the past couple of months, and they are pretty good. I feel like they have improved now. Out of four nail shops I have gone to, Isabella Nails is decently priced, quick, and professional. During one of my visits, a customer wanted another color after everything was painted on, so she yelled at the owner to do it again over for NO EXTRA COST. I thought the customer was rude, but the owner tried her best to satisfy her and said "have a nice day" despite all of that. Definitely trust the previous reviews on this place. I got a wild hair and decided to give them a shot after a trip to the Peets Coffee close by. I walked in and asked for a mani and pedi. A bit of a backstory...I have gel polish on my toes and just wanted a pedicure minus polish change. This completely baffled the girls at the shop. I dont know if they just couldnt understand my english, or they had never been asked to simply do everything else but the polish. The pedicure (I got the middle one) was eh. Not that great. They were very distracted the whole time. And yes, they get you out of there quickly, but that means the quality is lacking. The manicure was simply awful. I wanted a gel polish and I kept asking her if I could see the colors they offered, and instead of showing them, she just kept asking what color I wanted. I finally conveyed to her the color I was hoping for and she painted them on. Yeah, it looked like I did them at home while exercising on an elliptical and was blind. They charged me full price and when I spoke with the woman 'in charge' regarding how unhappy I was, she just repeated the price. So I didn't tip her and she just threw my card back at me. OH LEST I FORGET! No where while entering the salon did I note a 'cash only' sign. When I went to pay and handed the lady my card, she says "I'm sorry do you have cash?" I reply 'no just a card.' She gave me this look like this was the biggest inconvenience in the world and she would have to prove how much she wanted a klondike bar in order to accept my payment. I just stared right back. First of all, never patronize a business unless you've checked Yelp first. Normally, I check Yelp for everything because I've only lived in this area for three months. I dropped off my Shih-Tzu to be groomed at Trends n Treats (fabulous place to have your pet groomed) and needed an hour to kill before they called me to pick her up. Initially, I planned on going to Safeway to see if I needed anything but was unfortunately side tracked when I saw this place that does nails. I was overdue on having a pedicure and decided to go there instead of my usual, Vonne's (a great place for nails and waxing, but not haircuts). The lady said they were having a special on pedicures, 20% off $25, which meant I could have one for only $20, which is what I normally pay. After I sat soaking my feet for several minutes and having a chair massage I noticed that the vibration wasn't quite right on the chair so I turned it off. Lady comes over and starts doing my feet and of course I start looking around and immediately notice how "dirty" the place is  and the entire time she doesn't say one word to me.  I've already started so I figure I'll get it over with but skip the eyebrow wax I was considering. All is well until I sit in another area to dry my toe nails and I notice two of them are smudged...probably because she didn't use tissue to separate my toes! I say something and she comes over and fixes them. A few minutes later, I look at all of them again, and realize what a sloppy job she did. The nails aren't completely covered in polish and the ends weren't covered. WTHeck!  I tell her I want the nail polish taken off because it's sloppy. The other lady said, "Oh, we fix them for you".  Are you kidding?! It's time to pick up my dog plus I feel dirty and nasty. Lady quickly removes the polish and I hand her $20 anyway (and she said "thank you") because I felt like I deserved what I got for not checking Yelp and finding out they have horrible reviews! If you are thinking of getting a massage here..... run for your lives.... first off the room is not set up for a peaceful and relaxing massage. The table doesn't have a face rest, the sheets and comforter was old and dirty looking. The table was pushed against a wall so the lady couldn't walk around it and there were dirty clothes in a big trashbag in a corner. Oh and you could hear EVERYTHING going on out in the nail salon because the room i was in, the wall didn't go all the way up to the ceiling.  Creepy... The gal left the room 3 times during the massage and a guy who might be related to someone in there came pounding on the door while i was on the table.   I used to get my nails done there on occasion, but after that experience.....Eek.... I'm surprised this place has such low ratings.I had taken my Grandma to Great Clips in the same shopping center. They had a bit of a wait so I decided to walk through the parking lot and stumbled across the nail salon and thought I could use a pedicure. Because they had just opened, they were doing $5 anything, which made my pedicure only $15...how can you beat that!!!Everything  was perfectly up to my standards. They even had the perfect shade of bright, hot pink I love. They offered me a manicure too (which I badly needed at the time), but i didn't have the time. They told me to come back and i would get $5 off a manicure too. Usually I have an issue with how much pressure they use while massaging or rubbing my feet or legs, but this girl didn't do too much. And I'm very ticklish so I wiggle and squirm a bit haha.Overall, this place was perfectly fine, and again I am very confused as to why they got such bad ratings. Read Less

Wow, worst service I've seen in a long time.  My two friends and I walk in to an empty nail salon in the Safeway shopping center, the one with the big, welcoming silver rooster.  What a landmark!  Anyway, empty nail salon, 3 workers, 3 girls wanting quick manicures before happy hour.  Easy equation, right?  Wrong.  One lady started working on my friend's french manicure right away, while my other girlfriend and I were slowly picking out the colors we wanted.  About 10-15 minutes into her manicure and us sitting in chairs unattended to staring at our color of choice, we were given gel in the bottom of baggies, and our hands crammed into warmers.  All the while worker #2 was acting like she was cleaning (even though the salon was not very clean) and worker #3 was immersed in a book in a pedicure chair paying no attention to anyone.  Another 15 minutes in our hands are hot and getting all prune like, while the only person doing nails is wrapping up the first manicure.  As time slowly ticks away, we realize it will take years to get all three or our nails done here.  The lady working yells at worker #2 (in Vietnamese) who is sitting in a chair crunching on ice and asks her to help, that there is no way she could do all three of our nails.  Worker #2 responds, she is too tired.  One of my friends was able to understand their language.  And even though I couldn't I knew what was going on anyway.  After that awkwardness my friend and I decided our manicures here weren't going to happen if we wanted to make it to happy hour.  Therefore, we washed our warmed hands off and were left with insanely dry hands.  The one friend had her manicure wrapped up and we paid and decided to bounce.  Lady actually working and doing nails said, she can't to much since her boss wasn't here and she did apologize.  We did feel bad for her.  Worker #2 said sorry and thank you on our way out.  To which, none of us responded back.  Never again.  I'll be suprised if this place stays open.  What was even better, was when I asked about how long for a manicure she told me 25 minutes.  After one manicure we walked out about 45 minutes later.  Waste of time and blank nails! Decided to treat myself to a set of nails today, so I decided to go to the place near my house by Safeway - Isabella Nail and Spa. All I have to say is WOW! Don't EVER go there!! Not only do they not sanitize their brushes and stuff, but I am bleeding. BLEEDING!!! from 2 cuticles!!! They suck, I'm pissed, and out 35 bucks.... Do yourself a favor and think twice before going here. I should have gone with my first instinct that the floors were dirty- but I was in a rush and decided to do a pedicure anyway. I'm not sure if this guy had ever done a pedicure before, but it was by far the worst I have ever had. And they aren't that cheap. The cheapest pedicure was $25. It took the guy 30min to trim and file my nails and about 3 min to complete the foot/leg massage. I won't be back. Read Less

When they first opened, they provided very good service. However, over the past few years, they've gone down hill. One of my complaints from day one is the shoving of the mani/pedi "menu" in your lap as your getting your service, and then when I say just the regular, they try to up-sell me. One time I sat in the chair and waited for about 45 minutes before they started on my pedi, then rushed through it and seemed relieved when I said I was in there too long to do my mani, so forget it. They didn't seem to ever have enough staff to accommodate their business. However, with that said, the last time I was in there (two days ago), there weren't any customers, and the two techs were watching TV. When I came in, the tech put me in the chair, filled up the basin with water, then left the room for 10 minutes w/o telling me she'd be back, just a minute, etc. The owner came in and asked what I wanted, and I told her the tech left me there. When the tech came back, the tech was upset with me. In the middle of my pedi, the tech shoved the "menu" of pedi choices under my magazine (as usual), but never said a word to me. During the pedi, I changed my mind on the color choice, and I asked her to get a color on the counter. She acted like she didn't understand me and told me to get it myself - so I got out of the tub and tip-toed over to the counter and get the color. To top it all off, at the end of the pedicure, she grabbed some toe spacers from a cabinet and put them on me. I thought it was odd for two reasons: 1) they usually put tissue between my toes, and 2) I didn't hear any plastic opening, so I wondered if they were new. When I reached down to look at my color, I adjusted the toe spacer, and to my horror, it was dirty, broken and obviously had been used!! I will NEVER go back there again! Read Less

Would never recommend this place ever. With the experience I had, I am not sure how they got their license. I went in to have my fake tips removed & a manicure. They don't use a machine. Instead they do it manually with a nail cutter. On one finger, the lady cut through my real nail & into the middle of my nail bed itself. To stop they bleeding they put some type of drops on it without warning me. It almost felt as if they put alcohol on the bleeding nail. When trying to remove the artificial tips on another nail, she cut the tips of my real nail along with it so it looks like I chew my nails & chewed it too far at that. Another nail, they didn't remove all of the fill. $10 & they didn't even do a traditional manicure. Just removed my tips, injured me & put nail polish on. I could have done a better job myself & I have no experience. I would strongly recommend going someplace else. Read Less
