I would love, to LOVE this place but I can't. I got my nails on Friday and 3 days later my gel polish is cracking off my acrylics, one is actually broken 3 days later, I was stabbed by the drill, my skin was cut from the nail file while they were filing my stiletto shape. This isn't my normal nail salon I visit, but I thought "hey, there's an adequate number of positive reviews" but I guess starting from where I like to go was a really bad idea. I was not a fan. Went a few times because I had a gift certificate, but did not enjoy the experience. I liked that someone worked on my manicure while I was getting my pedicure, but I felt like I could not replace due to the manicurist constantly asking me questions. Plus, there was an odd smell and a large fly constantly landing on me. To top it off they kept asking if I wanted other services like callus removal and eyebrow waxing, and would laugh when I declined. That made me self conscious even though I have no calluses and just frankly prefer to get my waxings done at a nail salon. Although my nails were fine. I won't be returning. Read Less

My mom and I came in today on a whim. I got a full set and she got a mani pedi. My mom and I both haven't had our nails done in awhile and wanted to have a girls day. My grandma (my mom's mom) just passed away and my mom just had hip surgery on top of that so I was so happy that she was able to get out and do something that would make herself feel good. And, Ann, the woman who did my mom's mani pedi was so sweet and took so much time to give my mom the best experience. Also, the lady who did my full set, Tiffany, did the best job with my French tip nails. I haven't gotten French tips in years and had never seen someone take so much time to make them look beautiful! She didn't just use a white nail, she used white acrylic and shaped them with a brush.. the white was so bright and the shape was so clean. They look amazing and my mom loves her nails as well! A  friend recommended Bea at Selebrity Nails & Spa and I'm so glad she did. I had been looking for several years (!!!) for a nail salon where I could get a simple pedicure but where I could either take my own tub or where they would use a tub liner. I have contracted foot diseases in the past from contaminated pedicure tubs so I am very cautious now.Bea was happy to provide a disposable tub liner (which does cause some issues for her with the whirling water, but she made it work. It had been a long time since I'd had a pedicure, so she recommended a spa treatment, meaning she spent an hour with me, removing dead skin and simply doing a wonderful job in cleaning and massaging my feet and lower legs. She let me bring my own tools (Thank you, Bea!) because again, I don't want to "pick up" something nasty from someone else.The place is super-clean, Bea was sweet and a delightful lady, and I feel like I received excellent care. Best nail salon in Escondido!!! I've been going here for years and i have never been disappointed! B and Tina are my favorite girls and they both do an amazing job. Ive seen alot of negative reviews on pricing. Yes they do charge a little more than your average hole in the wall nail salon but you definitely get what you pay for! If you have done any research of nail products you know that any "cheap"  nail salon you go to uses cheap products and acrylic that will destroy your nail bed. Every time i have got a full set from this salon it has always been with top notch products and came out beautiful. this is my go to spot! Read Less

I go here to see Lena. She's awesome!  She shapes my eyebrows perfectly and I'm super picky when it comes to my eyebrows. Nobody has done as good of a job as her. Never again!   I was given 2 $30 gift certificates so I took my daughter (home from college) for a mani.  I got a pedi and I told her "basic pedi with gel" and my daughter asked for a basic mani/pedi.  $125??   Seriously?   I was prepared for the gift certificates not to cover the entire services but that's nuts. This is a wonderful place to go. You may pass it off the main road, but it's definitely worth a stop in! They are so kind and make you feel welcome. I have been going here for years, but recently their customer service has been terrible. Today was the last straw for me. I went in for a mani/pedi and there was no one there. Everyone was on their phone. No one said hello, and when I asked if they had time they sighed and said ok, but I Def felt like I was putting them out...and I have been a loyal client for years. So me and my friend wanted to get our nails done for the 4th of July and every other place I've been to was busy or closed so we decided to stop here. As soon as I walked in, I was treated poorly. I get my nails done all the time so I know how they should look. As she was doing my nails, she was paying attention to other customers' conversations than my nails. She buffered them so thin, anything hurt with pressure and especially the chemicals. She didn't even match up my nails so one pinky nail is longer than the other. My normal place was closed so I stopped here for a pedicure. They were friendly and the place wasn't filthy but it is old and worn out in need of an upgrade. I asked for a pedicure and they Got right to work.They didn't ask me what kind or if I had any preferences. They also don't list their prices or services, that should have been a red flag. The massage was just ok, not good but not terrible. She did take her time with it but like I said it wasn't a good massage. She worked my callouses using a metal razor that is designed for callous removal. The problem with that is most places will no longer use blades on your feet due to all of the possible issues that can arise. That made me a little uncomfortable. I did not see her change the blade for a new one either. That should be standard when using those tools. When filing my nails she was using a file that looked as though it had already been used. I have concerns with the sanitation of this place. When I went to pay she said it'd be $40. That isn't a crazy price when getting a pedicure from an upscale salon but for "Selebrity Nail" it seemed outrageous. I paid and asked for something that tells their services and prices. The lady ringing me up was hesitant to give it to me but pulled one out of hiding. In looking at the prices I see that a basic pedicure is $18 and the upgraded one is only $25. I understand it costs more when you add on things like nail design or callous removal but they were not up front at all about their services and pricing. The lack of proper sanitation alone is enough too make me never go back but when you add in how shady they are.... Never going back! Read Less

I've been going to this nail salon for 6 years and have always been happy with the service I've received. In fact I now have to go out of my to get there. The ladies are friendly and hardworking. the girl did a good job on my nails overall, but she charged me $3 extra because my nails are long. since when does the length of your nail affect the pricing? on one of my pinkies the gel bubbled up, and i wanted her to smooth it out and fix it but she wanted me to come back the next day....i guess she was too busy to fix it. poor customer service and the pricing was not clear on the service sheet. Three girlfriends and I went to get our toes and nails done. We called in advanced to make our reservation days ahead. When we arrived we still had to wait for a half an hour. When we were finally seen the lady who did the toes had no clue what they were doing. When a friend asked for a flower with a gem the technician said, ""Ok!"" BUT gave her a flower decal instead. She had no clue or even heard of the new trend of a zebra print on the toes. When it was time to pay they charged each of us over what the pamphlet. One got a simple pedicure that should have been 18 dollars and charged 28 dollars. Many people came in to get their nails, toes, or eyebrows done. The technicians would tell them it would be a 15 minute wait. Really it was a 45-1 hour wait. A girl finally went to leave and the lady stopped doing my nails to go and do her eyebrows. They are the most dishonest group of ladies I have ever encountered. I would recommend going to your local pharmacy and picking up some nail polish then to go and waste your time and money at Selebrityt nail and Salon. Read Less
