I had never come here before, but heard good things and was looking for a new place. I called and requested a pedi/mani at the same time. Gal said sure come in 15 minutes. I was prompt. I sat down and the gal started my pedi. She was more than 1/4 of the way done and I asked if I'd get a mani - Sure someone will be right over. Then she is more than 1/2 way through and people kept coming in the door. I told her that if it wasn't convenient, she could forget my nails. She never even acknowledged if that was a okay thanks or no you'll have a mani right away. Then she finished and walked away to start someone else. I am a fan. I have gotten a few manicures here and a edicure and will go back Reasonable priced. Nice girls. The owner paces around making the girls nervous which is irritating but other than that. They do a good job. Have a nice selection of brand polish and non brand. I never choose those because they do not last. They use quality top coat like Seche Vite. They also do gel colors, acrylics and waxing. Parking easy too. Read Less

Place is clean....but that was about the only positive thing I could say about this place. I waited over 30 minutes until they even asked what I wanted to get done, even though I had checked in for a pedicure. Then they said it was going to be another 10 minutes. They finally showed me to a chair after waiting 45 minutes....to only sit there for another 20 minutes "soaking" in cold water. The lady only spent maybe a total of 30 minutes working on me before she left to help someone else. Than they charged me an extra fee for using my card ( which was not told to me or posted anywhere) That will be the one and only time going to that nail place. Anna is awesome.  She does a beautiful job on acrylic nails.   She makes them look very natural, not thick, attention to detail, smooth- just the way I like them. Her work lasts - no lifting. Fills take around 45 minutes. Read Less

I went here because of the positive reviews. My pedicure was OK but when I went to pay I was shocked to be told that even though they stated that credit cards were welcomed there was to be a one dollar charge for using one. I am not even sure that is legal. I simply won't go back. If I was told up front it is one thing, but after I don't think so. Read Less

Not at all worth the money. Went to get a set of acrylics and it took over 2 hours!  Even after filing, the nails were too long and misshapen. Nail tech refused to shorten them. She kept getting up and leaving to talk to other techs and do bookkeeping. I wouldn't mind this as much if she wasn't taking so long already. When I told her that I had a family dinner at 5 (I came in a little before 3), she rolled her eyes and had a lot of attitude along with laughing at me with the tech beside us. This is my go-to nail place, I've been a regular here for quite some time.  The new location that they've moved to several months ago is really nice, clean, and modern.  I've never had a bad experience here and have referred my mom and a couple of friends and they all enjoy it as well.  My 'usual' is the shellac/gel mani and they have a wonderful assortment of colors.  They also do a great pedicure, even the basic one is nice and they have good massage chairs. I've never made an appointment because all of the nail techs that I've had have been good and I haven't ever had to wait.  It goes with saying though that I usually go during the week after work or else first thing Saturday or Sunday AM.  I've been told that mid weekend days can get busy and you may have to wait.They charge an extra dollar to pay with card which I am always okay with because I'm notorious for not carrying cash.  Shellac mani is $28 and that includes removal of prior shellac/gel polish. The location is also great and close to the freeway.  There is a market in the same strip mall that has a good coffee stand so I always like to hit that before getting my nails done. Read Less

Bad bad bad. I went here for the first time for a mani pedi  and it lasted all of 20 minutes with very little effort for 34 BUCKS !!!!!!!!! what a rip off.The girls had major attitude , they left dirt under my nails and did not even touch my callus on my big toe or attempt to file it down.  My nails were still rough when I left and I had to clean them more when I got home.NOT SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Cutee Nails, and nail tech Bonnie is my girl. She's reliable, sweet, and has an eye for detail.I used to bounce around a few nail shops in SD, never really finding someone who's both talented & pleasant to work with. Fortunately I discovered Bonnie here on Yelp, and I've never needed to look any further - she's the best.I typically keep my nails pretty simple, but Bonnie's also great at designs & color combos. She's neat, fast, and her work is consistently good. That's hard to find!I've been going to Cutee for over a year, and the staff is the same group of friendly women - it's not a revolving door like some other shops.Cutee just moved into a newly renovated space at the start of August 2017, plus there's complimentary WiFi and water bottles. Have been to this salon in the past and did not like the quality of the manicure. Decided to give it another try and was pleasantly surprised, Jenny, the owner did a polish change and I liked how it looked so the next time I had a manicure and it met my expectations. So I had a pedicure and again was very happy. It is now my go to place. The gals who work there are very nice and there isn't a lot of chatter that you hear sometimes at other salons. They just moved to another storefront in the same center and the decor is nice. There are a lot of substandard nail salons in Encinitas and Carlsbad so I am glad I finally found a place that does good work and the experience is pleasant. Highly recommend. Read Less

This place is a joke. My friend and I came in at 4pm with appointments like we do every Friday to get our nails done. I specifically told them I need to be out by 5pm. My friend's appointment was delayed due to the chaos of their grand opening and was not seen until after 5pm! I feel that I was not catered to, the quality of their service was not priority and they had three different technicians to work on my nails. I spoke with management and it just fell off of deaf ears, there was no sincerity. This is very unorganized and I don't think I'll be coming back. Read Less

I had some extra time Saturday and needed a pedicure badly. I was in North County but eventually needed to get to North Park, so location wise this was a great in between. It is right off of Encinitas Blvd next to Wendy's. Just your typical nail salon. It was not very busy when I went Saturday afternoon so I didn't have to wait. Pedicure was $20. they did a good job. I'm picky when it comes to nails and have been to many all over San Diego! Have had many disappointments. I came across this one in Encinitas one day and decided to give it a shot. I came in on a busy Saturday and the salon was still kept very clean and organized. I decided to do a french tip manicure with acrylic (my classic choice when I'm indecisive). Jennifer was my nail tech and did a great job :) My nails were the perfect length and filed perfectly. My nails looked natural the way I like it. My first experience here was great and deserved 5 stars. I had to wait about 20 min to get in but they didn't rush to finish the people already getting their services done and I totally respect and appreciate that. My second visit was completely different, it was like I was in a whole different nail salon. My tech didn't say anything to me when he started my service but only spoke to the nail tech next to him...in my opinion completely rude. He was also sick and kept sniffling up his snot. I wanted to go get him a tissue:/ My massage was about 3 minutes for both legs/feet. My pedicure started 10 minutes after those seated on my right and left but ended right about the same time=the time shaved off of my massage. At this point he was coughing on my feet so I didn't really care. About the time my toes were getting their last coat, he tried to make friendly conversation...yes I get it, you want your tip.
