This was the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. My appointment was at 3pm, they didn't start until 3:30. Employees seemed confused as to what they were supposed to be doing and customer service did not seem to be a concern. The water for my feet was cool, so I told the technician I'd like it warmer when he asked and he got it barely lukewarm. I got the level up from basic pedi, but it turned out that consisted of the technician dumping a little packet of something in the water then squeezing cold lotion on my legs straight from the packet like it was ketchup and actually scratching me in the process. He massaged one part of each leg for most of the time and was much more focused on talking with the other technician. Meanwhile, the water for the mani was sitting there for so long that when she had me put my hand in it was cold. I told her and she dumped the cold water on my feet! She then proceeded to cut my nails shorter than I have ever cut them, to where there is only the smallest sliver of white nail showing. Why anyone would ever cut nails that short unless explicitly asked I don't know. It hurt as she was cutting them and my fingers have been in pain ever since, even typing hurts. She also cut my cuticles so aggressively that I had her just skip that part on the next hand. The technician doing the pedi also hurt me several times by buffing my nails so hard and indiscriminately that he buffed my skin too and he pushed my cuticles back so aggressively at one point that I flinched and suggested he go a little gentler. He just looked at me like I was weird and kept going. The woman laughed and said "Me?!" The whole experience felt like torture rather than a relaxing treatment and I almost left right in the middle. Instead, I figured I had been through the worst of it and had better at least get my nails painted out of the whole deal. I highly suggest avoiding this place. And to the salon, I suggest you hire a consultant and consider making drastic changes to how you operate.

I had a great gel fill today with Kim! My last 2 gel fills (at 2 different nail salons) were so horrible I almost gave up and just got them removed. Kim listened, had great conversation and finished in under an hour. I love the shape AND the fact that she made them thin (like I requested)I held back a star because of past experiences with different nail techs..so go to who you know;)...pardon my ol' lady hands...

I just stopped by on Super Bowl Sunday to get my gel polish removed because I knew the salon would be quiet. I've gotten some pretty mediocre gel manicures here in the past, but I figured they couldn't screw up a gel polish removal. Surprise, I was wrong!As my nail tech began filing the first layer of my gels off I noticed she was staring off into the distance and not looking at my hands- she ended up filing so deep into my nail plate that she left a hole in the tip of my pinky nail, which was about fingertip length. She left the one section she filed way too thin and I let her know she had filed too deep so that she wouldn't do it to my remaining 9 nails. She said "No, that's how your nails are from removing the gel". I actually laughed-- first off my gel hasn't even been removed yet, and she can clearly see that she filed all the layers of gel and most of my nail plate off because she filed in ONE section for way too long, and then she tried to play it off like I came in like that. No apologies or anything. She continued to do a half assed job at removing the rest of my gel polish because it was visibly obvious she was annoyed I brought it up. She also kept stabbing my cuticles with the sharp tool she was using to scrape off the gel polish. I understand it happening once or twice, but she left small cuts on almost all of my fingers by the time she was done. I thought I was being punked it was so bad. I now have an extremely thin, sensitive section down the middle of that nail because of how deep she filed. She also had to end up filing all the length off that nail because of the gap she made from filing the nail plate. I'm just happy she didn't break down the entire nail to my nail bed, but she wasn't very far off. Long story short, stay far away from this place if you would like to keep your fingers intact.

No wait, which is a huge plus! I got a great manicure w gel polish, one of the best I've ever had. The manicurist was very careful w my cuticles which I appreciate. I would definitely go again.

So I paid almost $70 for shellac manicure and spa pedicure and the result wasn't even worth $10. It's been 8 days that I've had my shellac manicure and it's chipping. To make matters worst the nail polish was sooo far from my cuticles (unsure if that was intentional) that it appears that i got my nails done months ago. The pedicure is another mess that I rather not get into. The reason why I even gave two stars was because the manicurists had a nice personality. But I regret going there total waste of money.

I'm happy with the pedicure that I received, but I also got a full leg wax, which was one of the more painful waxing experiences I've endured. First of all - I've been getting my legs waxed for many years and am used to it taking 25-30 minutes. I was in that waxing room for 1:15, which should give you an idea. The lady was extremely nice, but she ran out of the regular wax halfway through, so she switched to a stripless wax, which has been used on me in the past and isn't usually that bad, but this one was awful. It was so incredibly painful that I ended up pulling some of the strips off myself because it was so excruciating when she did it. She then looked again for more of the regular wax she was using and found the extra in the drawer, the entire time complaining about how this other machine was broken, how she had asked the owner to replace said but she hadn't, etc. etc. It was overall a really miserable experience which essentially served to reverse all the relaxation I'd enjoyed from my pedicure :(Also...I hate to say this, but I did have a lot of time to look around while in that waxing room, and, well - it was fairly dirty. Such a shame. These types of places are dime-a-dozen, of course - but I have run into plenty of similar places that are well-maintained and where one can get a decent cheap full leg wax. This definitely isn't one of those places.

I love 101 Nail Lounge. I came from Kentucky to California trying to find a nail salon that made me feel like I was welcome. 101 made sure I felt welcomed. Do you want to know the bonus? I bring a picture of what I want and they go above and beyond expectations! The pedicures take you to another world.. try the green tea honey.. I can't describe this utopia with words. Go try it out.. never a disappointment. P.S.~Tiffany is my personal favorite. But I have two sisters and they go to Tinie and Dee and they are just as good. Trust me as sisters we all want the same perfection. It's fun to go compare Nail art.

Was camping at San elijo and wanted to get my nails done.. ok maybe I was glamping- the wait time was less than quoted (10 mins) and the gal that did my nails was super cute and nice (Tiffany ). She didn't twist or hurt my hands, I didn't feel any discomfort or tension. She didn't cut me or mess anything up. They have almost all OPI which is nice and for a gal fill was pretty standard- kind of on the high side 34$, but I did not have to correct any nails, they all look the same shape and was done is a timely manner. Don't live here but would drive back for a fill from her for sure.

I found this place on yelp. Pictures look good but when I walked in place was crowded. The manager I believe she was the manager if not the owner wasn't so welcoming. She was a bit abrasive. A lot of techs and the place is pretty crowded. I asked for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure and well I will say the pedicure was ok the techs were ok but my manicure was a complete bust. A little over priced for what I got. Maybe it's the location which always the prices to go up. I didn't realize how bad my gel mani was until I walked out. Wouldn't go back even if they offered to do it for free. Highly disappointed

Great selection of OPI colors. The female receptionist is a doll. The last time that I was in, I was sitting at the front AFTER my mani-pedi so that they could have their massage chair back. I dug into my purse to pay and messed up a nail. I wasn't going to say anything but the receptionist noticed and insisted that they fix it. I loved that!!!I've had one pedi that was a little sloppy and the man at the front isn't very welcoming. The last time I was in it looked like the place needed a good clean but Monica gave me a neat and clean pedicure and manicure and I will keep coming back!

Friend and I were told 15 minutes for manicure/pedicure. After we were seated for pedicure, I waited 45 minutes with my feet in the water while my friend got her pedicure. I asked several times when they would start on me and was completely ignored. My friend's pedicure was done and they finally start on me. Then the same wait begins for her manicure. Same thing in reverse. We ask and ask when they will start on her and they don't acknowledge our questions. Finally start on her on manicure when I am completely done.

This was my second time visiting 101 nail lounge and once again I am so impressed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Monica did an amazing job on my ice cream nail art. She was willing to do anything special for me and said "just show me a picture!" She was thrilled to do it and went out of her way to make sure I was happy. The kind lady who works at the front is lovely as well. This is my new favorite salon and it's so affordable too!

I have been going to 101 Nail Lounge for a couple months now. I normally get Acrylics and they have a very good color selection for gel polish. My nails always seem to last pretty long even after getting filled twice. The only problem I have here is you have to make an appointment, they do allow walk ins but because they are normally so busy there will be a decent wait. I do recommend this salon if you are looking to get a full set.

And since I was going to visit my occupational doctor regarding a foot injury- I didn't want my toes (and feet) looking fugly.I walked in to another salon before heading here. And that salon said I needed an appointment. And then I was directed here to 101 Nail Lounge. I made sure to call ahead asking if I needed an appointment before I began walking the 5 blocks to get there. Lucky me! The gal who answered what I'd like done- gel pedi. I walked down to a more spacious salon- bright inside and there were plenty of nail techs working on manicures. I signed my name in & was directed to an end chair. Thank goodness there was a huge tv on (Dr Phil was the man of the hour). Volume was down & captions were on display. I picked my gel color & my tech was very gentle. I normally pumice my feet before going to a salon, but, this was an unexpected visit. She removed cuticles w/ a tool I've never paid attention to before & at first I was nervous that she'd poke me w/ it. Not once. lol During the gel color phase, the lamp bumped into the big toe on my left foot. And she corrected the issue by redoing it.I received a lotion & oil massage on both legs & feet after my paint was dry. I put on my ballet flats when my service was complete.There's an atm located inside this nail salon- which I've never seen before. Very accommodating. Didn't use it, so I don't know what the service charge for it is.What I did notice later in the evening when I got home- the red gel polish on my pinky toe was removed. lol At least it's my pinky toe & I have red polish hanging around the house somewhere.

I dug into my purse to pay and messed up a nail. I wasn't going to say anything but the receptionist noticed and insisted that they fix it. I loved that!!!I've had one pedi that was a little sloppy and the man at the front isn't very welcoming. Friend and I were told 15 minutes for manicure/pedicure. After we were seated for pedicure, I waited 45 minutes with my feet in the water while my friend got her pedicure. I asked several times when they would start on me and was completely ignored. My friend's pedicure was done and they finally start on me. Then the same wait begins for her manicure. Same thing in reverse. We ask and ask when they will start on her and they don't acknowledge our questions. Finally start on her on manicure when I am completely done.

This was my second time visiting 101 nail lounge and once again I am so impressed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Monica did an amazing job on my ice cream nail art. She was willing to do anything special for me and said "just show me a picture!" She was thrilled to do it and went out of her way to make sure I was happy. The kind lady who works at the front is lovely as well. This is my new favorite salon and it's so affordable too!

I have been going to 101 Nail Lounge for a couple months now. I normally get Acrylics and they have a very good color selection for gel polish. My nails always seem to last pretty long even after getting filled twice. The only problem I have here is you have to make an appointment, they do allow walk ins but because they are normally so busy there will be a decent wait. I do recommend this salon if you are looking to get a full set.

I had 3 & a half hours to kill until my Yelp event at 6pm. And since I was going to visit my occupational doctor regarding a foot injury- I didn't want my toes (and feet) looking fugly.I walked in to another salon before heading here. And that salon said I needed an appointment. And then I was directed here to 101 Nail Lounge. I made sure to call ahead asking if I needed an appointment before I began walking the 5 blocks to get there. Lucky me! The gal who answered what I'd like done- gel pedi. I walked down to a more spacious salon- bright inside and there were plenty of nail techs working on manicures. I signed my name in & was directed to an end chair. Thank goodness there was a huge tv on (Dr Phil was the man of the hour). Volume was down & captions were on display. I picked my gel color & my tech was very gentle. I normally pumice my feet before going to a salon, but, this was an unexpected visit. She removed cuticles w/ a tool I've never paid attention to before & at first I was nervous that she'd poke me w/ it. Not once. lol During the gel color phase, the lamp bumped into the big toe on my left foot. And she corrected the issue by redoing it.I received a lotion & oil massage on both legs & feet after my paint was dry. I put on my ballet flats when my service was complete.There's an atm located inside this nail salon- which I've never seen before. Very accommodating. Didn't use it, so I don't know what the service charge for it is.What I did notice later in the evening when I got home- the red gel polish on my pinky toe was removed. lol At least it's my pinky toe & I have red polish hanging around the house somewhere.

Love this place! Love the owner- she does amazing natural looking tips and is lovely company and Christina gives excellent foot massage. Great ambience, location and prices too!

We dropped in here right at closing time and they took us in and completed our date night!! Prices were great!!
