I told the woman that did my nails multiple times that I didn't want gel. I mentioned that I didn't want gel and it would be fine if the nail polish came off early. When I said it she had the understanding that I didn't want gel (I said 3+ times that I didn't want gel). After paying $25 instead of $15 (I didn't know I was being charged the $25 till after I received my receipt) I asked why it was $25 and she stated that she put gel on my nails. This was my go to place for so many years. Even when I was living in Citrus Heights for a short period time, I still went out of my way to go to this shop because I loved the quality and price. I had stopped going for some time to try to save up money and eventually started going back and the quality changed. I tried going back a couple more times but the staff didn’t seem as friendly and the quality wasn’t as good anymore. I had an appointment for 4 people at 1:00 on a Saturday. They were not ready for us. They seated 3 of us at 1:30. Unfortunately they didn’t have enough people to accommodate us. We requested the Spa pedicure. They rushed through our pedicures and cut our time short but, insisted we received a Spa pedicure. I was embarrassed because I had given my sisters and mom a gift certificate for a 40 minute Spa pedicure for Christmas. I will not go back to their establishment nor would I recommend it to others. I called to make an appt for 2 pedicures. When we arrived they sat us down and started working only on me. My friend had to wait for at least 30 min and her water got cold. We both got the more expensive pedicure but they did not do a good job on my friend. Her pedicure was done at the same time though hers started at least 30 min later. They really should have told us they didn't have time for both of us. While we were there, one of the workers fell asleep on the pedicure chair. Her mouth was open and when they called her she wouldn't wake up. If that's not bad enough, when I arrived home I found that my polish is not up to par, the French tip is crooked. I had my nails done at another Elk Grove salon. I am going to Hawaii and wanted some nail art done. It was a mistake to not verify that they had an ARTIST available to do what I wanted. After leaving with disappointing results, I searched online to see what salon could handle my request. Venus Nails on Stockton Blvd. was the overwhelming choice. I'm short on time and called to see if they could fit me in. They were so accommodating and said they could get me in same day. I went in and Jon got to work on my nails art. I showed him all of the pictures I had saved on Pintrest and he said no problem. He easily and quickly drew all of my flowers and tropical leaves. I was so impressed and beyond grateful. Not thoroughly happy with these stiletto nails--first off, they are way too short, secondly, they are awkwardly shaped and aren't flattering to look at. Not happy with the job done and won't be coming back here any time soon. To top it all off, while removing my previous acrylics, my nail technician cut my middle finger pretty deep, using a plastic fake nail, and it started bleeding. (Refer to pictures) The only consolation I received was free acrylic removal of my previous set. My new nails set me back $38 (not including tip) and I was left extremely unsatisfied. The salon itself is quite small but very clean. Workers are very friendly and my technician did try to please me--but just couldn't deliver. It angers me when a technician knows the set they just did looks awful, yet still proceeds to tell you how beautiful they turned out. Overall, won't be revisiting this place ever again. I like coming here for the pedicures. The plastic that surrounds the tub area for the your feet makes me feel like it is a little cleaner than just putting my feet in a tub that someone else's has been in. I also like that they use new tools each time a new person comes in. It comes in in small sealed pouch and they open it right in front of you. It just makes me feel that their tools are much more sanitized than other places. I get the spa pedicure which is about 45 minutes and I think $30? Well worth it since you get more than just a quick massage and clean toes. They do a hot stone treatment, exfoliate the legs, and wax treatment for the dry areas on your feet. I must admit, the heels on feet can get quite rough. But after my pedicure, you can barely feel any rough parts. I mean they can't get it all on one treatment! The ladies are nice but sometimes when they talk to each other for long periods of time, I get nervous like they're talking about how rough my feet are. Lol. Read Less

This is my second time going. Much better than the first. They got me seated very quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. I got John and he was very friendly. My nails came out amazing and where a good price. I got a full set of acrylics with gel color. The first time I got seated quickly but the lady was very quiet and only spoke to the other workers and my nails were lumpy and not cleaned very well. Really recommend John! Read Less

I Have been coming here for many years now. Lisa has done my nails for Jr Prom, Sr Ball and I am now 25 and still see her every two weeks. My sister has been seeing Jenna for just as long. If your ever looking for an amazing pedicure you must see Jenna and Lisa! My husband loves Lisa for his feet. The atmosphere inside has really changed in the last few years for the better, looks like they had an interior designer come in and give the walls nice relaxing colors with touches of art and decor.
