Not worth $25 for a mediocre manicure. If I wanted poor quality I would've gone to one of the cheaper salons. my nails are completely uneven. my thumbs are squares even though I wanted them all oval. First time here and had a wonderful experience. Tom did a very great job on my basic pedi and gel mani. He takes his time and Fix anything along the way to make my nails perfect looking. While I was walking over to do my mani after he finished my pedi, I accidentally messed up the polish on 2 of my big toes and he helped me fix it without hesitation! He removed the entire polish and re applied it on. Tom also offer me to do a different color on my ring fingers (which I didn't even think of at the moment).. which of course i said yes to. And oh!!! I almost forgot to mention... my index finger nail was kinda breaking off at the corners and he helped me fix it!! He applied super glue and something else on it to make my mani look smooth and I can't even notice it!!! Thank you Tom! I would definitely recommend going to Tom for your visit here! Read Less

I hate going for pedicure and manicure to place where the Chinese ladies keep talking in their language about people's feet and hands. They don't engage with their customers. And they try to do their job as fast as possible to get in and out the customers. And they don't do a great job because they are always rushing. Read Less

My experience at Tropical Nails & Spa was my best mani/pedi experience. Jennifer helped me with both and did a fantastic job on my premiere manicure and pedicure.This might sound a little offensive, but when I go to nail salons, usually the employees talk to each other... we were able to talk as a group. Myself, manicurist and the other guests nearby as well as the rest of the staff. Which was very nice! The other people in the salon were also very sweet. The drying table is shaped like a square, so you end up sitting and drying across from someone else.As I was drying, a party of 6 people came in as a sweet birthday party. The staff was able to accommodate everyone for the event. (It was a Tuesday, so please call and make your appointment for the party!) I finally found my nail salon! Read Less

This place deserves pretty much 0 stars, but I will give 1 star since message chair was nice.. I realized it was a cheap place before going in, but regardless of what they charge, they should have some quality and pride in their service which they lacked. Went here a couple of days ago for a simple pedicure.. the place was very cute & looked really clean. The prices weren't too bad at all, and manicurist was professional and did everything i asked for and more. The only thing i'd say is that i wished they had more colors to choose from. My first time here for myself and daughter pedis. They have good services at great prices, even better if you have one of their coupons.  I love my pedi's and even more when I get to look at beautiful beach themed photos. Only problem is my tech (Cindy) was gentle and gave a great pedi. My daughter's nail tech was rough and made her bleed. Both her toe and finger cuticle were red and or bleeding. It's very busy obviously because the price for mani/pedi is only $25 & the location. I waited for about 10 min & was very pleased with the results. Place looked very clean & organized &the people are very catering to your needs. I asked for a difficult design with rhinestones on my toes & they did an amazing job! I will definitely be back! I went in to get my acrylic nails taken off and the woman who destroyed me did not care at all for my comfort or my nails. She cut the fake nail along with my nail, filed down the gel polish and some acrylic(possibly even my own nail), and then used a new fake nail tip to crank it off. She went from the start of my nails peeling toward the tip and it hurt bad. Come to find out my nail itself was coming off and now my nail bed it bare on two of my fingers. She knew she messed up and proceeded to do the same to my other hand. Then she wanted to blame everything on my nails being too thin. I have always had nice, thick, long nails so that is a lie. She then gave me a half ass manicure with the polish looking rough and acrylic still left on my nail. That was the worst experience I've ever had at nail salon and I'm never going back. Read Less

Have been going here for several years. Love that the salon is always clean and almost everyone speaks English and they are all friendly and professional. Way better than any other salon in Elk Grove especially since their prices are very reasonable and they always have coupons to use to save even more money.Read Less

For 30$ I would have liked to see a lot more done on my pedicure. I still have dead skin on my feet, my French toes are okay, not good not bad. Very basic, very meh. Nothing outstanding. I have found Ben (the manager with his wife Stacy) is a very talented artist when it comes to my nails. I kinda kidd with him alot and with his fun personality it is a luxury for me to spend the time at Tropical Nails & Spa. i do not question his suggestions.Quien has been working on my poor old feet, trying to bring them back from all the years of abuse I unwittingly have put them thru. She is very friendly, accommodating and enjoys our appointments as much as I do. Congratulations, Quien on your new USA Citizenship.I highly recommend this salon.
