My nail tech Thu is a miracle worker and saved the day!!!!! I came here after getting a full set from another salon a few days before (they did a horrible job)! Thu was able to reshape my nails where it looked like a completely new set and gave me a new gel color. I never stick to one nail salon, but I think I've found my new spot!!!!! I just moved to the Elk Grove area and have been searching for a good nail salon and I'm so happy to say that I have found it! My nail technician was Brian and he did an amazing job! The shape, color, everything! Pictures definitely don't do it justice. I am so in love with how my nails turned out. The salon itself is super cute and relaxing. The girl at the front was super nice and was able to get me seated right away even though I was a little late for my appointment. She also made sure that I was satisfied with my service at the end. I really like the idea of this nail bar. It is very chic and unique. I have never been to a nail salon that looks like this.. so it Definitely helps set them apart from every other nail salon around. This seems to be a place where you can gossip and chit chat while pampering yourself. At first I was alittle bummed because I didn't think I would have the luxury of having a massage chair during my pedicure, but to my surprise the benches do massage!  Over all it was a good experience but nothing super spectacular or over the top.. Poor quality regardless of how trendy the setup is. I tried going here 3 separate times for my gel manicure hoping it would be different and they have never lasted more than a few days. Each time I went there a different person would do it so it makes me think it’s the product possibly. But I did notice normally at other salons after they soak your hands and put some kind of lotion product on there which makes you nails oily while they care for the cuticles they would have me wash my hands with soap so my nails are clean of any residue but at sparkle they tell you not to use soap which I honestly think also had something to do with them not lasting as well. Plus they weren’t very friendly. Once they’d start on my nails they might ask me a question or two but then they’d start talking to other employees and didn’t care to talk to customers a lot. Where to begin.I called the nail salon a day before my birthday to ask how much a gel fill would be and the lady on the phone told me $25. Two of my sisters have been to this salon more than a few times and have generally had good experiences, so I decided to give it a shot. Keep in mind, my sisters told me they always pay $25 for a fill as well.So I get there and the place is pretty nice, and the service was fast. While the nail tech was doing my nails he asked me if it were my first time there, and said yes. My nails looked really nice and I was happy with them when he finished.When it came time to pay, he told me it was $30 for a fill. I told him that I called in advance and was told it was $25, and that my sisters also always pay $25. I even confronted the lady who I spoke with on the phone who told me the price to begin with about the discrepancy and she said "no it's $30 you're probably thinking of the price of a pedicure." I wasn't going to argue over $5, it's not about the money. It's about being lied to and being taken advantage of because I was a "new customer". That alone was enough for me to never return because the deceit was so blatant.FAST FORWARD AGAIN - the next day, my actual birthday, the left corner of my pinky nail broke off. I mean straight up broke off. In less than 24 hours on my birthday. Then, the following day, the polish my thumb nail chipped. And here I am today, exactly 1 week later, and I have 3 broken nails and 1 chipped nail. JOKE OF ALL JOKES.I think you get the hint that I would never recommend this place to anyone. Hands down my favorite place to go from now on! This place gets pretty busy so if you plan on just walking in, good luck. I suggest making an appointment just to be on the safe side. My nail tech was Long. I had informed him that I cracked one of my nails and that it was very tender when it gets moved around so he made sure to be extra careful with that finger when he filed it down. I had also expressed some concerns I had with the last fill I had gotten (from a different nail salon) and he made sure he took care of everything I didn't like. He made sure my nails were nice and even all around, made them nice and thin exactly the way I like, and this time none of my nails pointed in a different direction!I was speaking to another unhappy customer who sat next to me and as we were both getting our nails done, we were immediately pleased with how our fills were going at this salon opposed to the one we had gotten done else where. I've been to Sparkle twice, once in 2015 and this afternoon. I wasn't happy the first time, so I really don't know what compelled me to come again.... The service is definitely quick, I was out in less than an hour for a fill. I didn't catch the name of the lady who did my nails, but she was kind and made sure not to hurt me. What disappointed me the most about the fill that I got was the lack of symmetry between my nails. Some are wider & longer than others...I also really dislike the color she had chosen. I wanted a light shade of pink, but she insisted on a true bubblegum pink for my nails. The total was $40 for my fill, which I think is slightly overpriced! Today was my second visit here and I've been pleased with the customer service both times! First time I was really unsure of what I wanted therefore I didn't walk out feeling amazed, just as though I got my nails done. But today was great! Ashley did my nails today. I showed her my inspiration picture and she did a great job making it her own. I really wanted the metallic strips but Ashley told me they don't stay on very well and i 100% appreciate her honesty and how she came up with a good looking alternative. On top of being happy with the design i am extremely happy I walked out with no cuts on my hands! I am also very happy with the thickness of my nails, last time they were kind of bulky and it drove me crazy but being that I hadn't had fake nails in years I wasn't sure if it was just me. My girlfriend recommended Sparkle to me. I just moved here from LA and have yet to find a spot for my nails. This is it though. I had a full set done and a pedicure. The place is nice. I was a walk in and was seated super fast.The place is beautiful and clean. I was super satisfied. Meghan was very nice. She did my full service. She was attentive and it was a relaxing experience. I love how everyone was excited and sharing in laughter. I also liked overhearing the nail tech asking their customers questions about their life.I am new to the area and still don't have many friends. I also just had a baby and have found relaxing a little tough. My experience here was so rejuvenating. My coworker kept recommending this place to me and I am NOT disappointed! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she really paid attention and looked very carefully for the perfect color. She really took her time and knew what she was doing. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon, and looking around me, all the ladies that were getting their nails done were looking great! My coffin shape is on point,The matte is really matte (unlike other places I've been too),And the massage that came with the gel manicure was perfect!Even though the prices are only a little higher than the average nail salon, it's worth the price. This place is super cute. They have a nail bar for manicures and full sets. On the opposite side they have a pedicure couch with divided seats and beautiful square pedicure sinks. Ashley did my full set in 50 minutes and the outcome was perfect! She is super sweet and funny plus she listens to what you want. You definitely need to schedule an appointment. The only reason I'm reviewing this place is because I don't live in Sac, otherwise I'd keep this gem to myself!!! Have had my nails done here twice.  Both times were amazing. Perfect shape, even, and symmetrical.  Plus they put up with my chatty, indecisive ass. First time I had a gel full set put on w/chrome powder, second time (months later, after seeing other nail techs) was just for a fill. Not happy with the service. The person who did my nails made me feel rushed, actually it was definitely rushed. Got a full set with gel, single color for $45. They are very uneven and the gel looks like blobs on my fingers. On my right pointy finger, the gel on one side is thicker than the other. So ugly I just want to take them off. Not worth it. I had my nails done elsewhere before for a cheaper price and it was SO much better/prettier. Came here because of the review. Wrong choice on my part. Will not come here again. Oh btw; if you do come here, make sure you look nice so they'll give you better customer service. I came here looking like poop after work, maybe that's why I was rushed in and out of the place. And no I wasn't mean or rude, I paid, tipped, & left. I was so bummed that my nails didn't look nice like the person next to me. Definitely the customer service I got was based on my appearance. This is so sad. I hate businesses like this, they are obviously just money hungry. Update: look at the pictures, my natural nails are super short, so why are they sticking up like that?? My experience there was great and my nails came our AMAZING..... So I thought. One nail popped off after maybe 1 week, I was just going to wait till filling to re do it since I live an hour away. Between last night and this morning FOUR have popped off and it's been 10 days.
