I came in for an acrylic overlay, and while Ivy was nice, I had a quite painful experience. She buffed my nails and cuticles and ended up doing a little too much and I found that every time she applied a coat of something, it stung (imagine hand sanitizer on a paper cut). I figured that might be normal so I let it go. She then applied the acrylic onto my nail and the excess acrylic drooped over the side of my nail and adhered to my skin... it felt like my skin had been superglued to my nail. Unfortunately, rather than taking a brush with acetone- or whatever solution used to break down acrylic- she used her nail to force apart my skin from my nail! She basically jammed her own nail between my skin and the acrylic, practically ripping my skin. In addition to the pain, I have many bubbles on the nail polish and several of my nails are missing nail polish on the sides (very rushed). Also, my middle finger nail was quite shorter than the others so Ivy had placed a fake nail on top... one that did not match the width of my nail. My natural nail ended up breaking and can be seen peeking/break off from underneath the fake nail. Lastly, one thumb nail is also noticeably more square than the other. I'd like to think that had I come a little earlier in the day and not so close to closing that it would've been a less rushed job, but I don't think I'll be back any time soon to find out. Read Less

Will now definitely be my go to nail salon in Elk Grove! I don't know how I missed this gem ever since moving here. Very affordable along with great service.I'm always hesitant when I get a male manicurist but Tony exceeds my expectations! Very welcoming staff, no overwhelming chemical smells, wood floors and wood pedicure stations create a warm and inviting atmosphere.  When I called to see if they could fit me in (was desperate), the owner stayed late after closing to help me.  I will return, but will make an appointment to take the stress off the accommodating and hard-working staff. The only reason I came here was because i seen the sign outside which said "Spa Pedicure 18.99$", I thought "wow that's a good deal!". Well spa pedicure means their basic pedicure, nothing special or spa about it... When we got there we got in the chairs pretty quick, the place was somewhat busy & was getting full fast. The women who did my toes did a good job, no complaints there. Then came the full set, which I believe his name is Tony did. He was rushing so bad to get to other people who walked in that he almost made me bleed twice, then when asked why my nail was crooked he said "that's your finger" .. so this is what I ended up paying 24$ for my full set to look like this & then he was so busy he had me go sit at the dryer for 8min & forgot to put the top coat on & when asked about he rudely got up & put it on quickly & didn't even cover the entire nails. This is my first time here and I am in love with the way my nails came out!I was getting my nails done at another nail spa in Elk Grove but I was never satisfied with the service. They were charging me extra for every little detail so I decided to give pro nails a chance. I called at 4pm and asked to come in at 4:30. Tony gladly agreed and put me down. I was able to find the shade I wanted pretty easily because I usually go for nudes. Tony was knowledgable about the shape I wanted. He was also very gentle with my nails which is a major plus. At other salons, I've had nail artists shave the crap out of my cuticles to where they bleed or hurt badly. This was not the case with Tony. His technique is very unique and he takes his time. My nails came out exactly how I wanted and I am very happy with the result. Their prices are great as well and they have an awesome selection of colors. I highly recommend this place. Read Less
