I have been here twice and I went a second time to give them another chance. The first time the tech was kind of rude and the second time a different tech left my nails wavy after giving me a gel manicure and the gel was so far out that it already looked like I needed another manicure the day I got them. The guy tech that worked on my friends nails didn't listen to what she requested and she ended up leaving with something she was unhappy with because he was rude when she was more specific and she is too kind to argue. On a positive note I must say that there is 1 yes 1 amazing tech in there that painted my 9 yr olds nails. She was so sweet and did a great job and my daughter said she was very kind to her. I am sitting here while Bobby does my pedicure after Khan did my nails. This is the best nail salon I have been too in years. I actually drove from fair oaks to give this salon a shot. Totally worth it. I've been looking for a nail artist for quite awhile. Khan did an amazing job. Read Less

I returned coming here after not being able to get my nails done because of school; but am finished now. Everyone is still just as friendly and Aaron did a beautiful job on the full set he did for me. I have been admiring them since I got home. Khan, Bobby and Candy are also very detailed and friendly. First time here and what an amazing place! Was able to get eyebrow waxing, the OMG Candy Manicure with collagen gloves, and the OMG 6 Free Spa Pedicure with the PerfectSense Paraffin Treatment. Mary was wonderful, but all around customer service was great! Plus they use disposable bags in the pedicure baths, which I've never seen any other place do and is much appreciated! went to OMG nail spa for the first time today. i was pretty nervous as ive been to different shops & have left disappointed. i read reviews on yelp previously prior to coming here several times & wanted to give them a chance as the pictures show the designs i have been looking for in a shop here in elk grove. first impressions: 1 - average size, clean, & acknowledged right away, pricing is average for Elk Grove. (I dont mind paying higher for quality)2 - staff was friendly & accomodating of my 9 year old daughter who was with me3 - love the fact they put a plastic liner in the pedicure tub. cant complain when it comes to being sanitary.4 - pedicure - AMAZING! it was so relaxing & there are a huge variety of polishes to choose from. next time i will upgrade my pedicure to the next level with the paraffin wax etc.5 - nails - this is where i get nervous. i am extremely meticulous when it comes to someone doing my nails. i have naturally long nails so i dont do the fake tips. i wanted a thin overlay of powder in the infamous coffin shape. (my previous shop did a terrible job at this so i decided to look for a new shop). i was introduced to Mary who did my nails & i am beyond pleased. not only did she shape & apply a thin layer of powder to my liking, she really took her time to make sure they were even in length, size, trimmed my cuticles & she didn't cut me. i hate when that happens....when she was applying polish, it was even, streak & bubble free & also down to the edges where i normally will nit-pick. i hate getting polish painted on & its not down the sides of my nails. i wanted to try the chrome powder for the first time. there was a $15 upcharge but i didnt mind as long as i am pleased with the outcome, price doesnt matter to me as long as it's not outrageous. hence the saying "you get what you pay for". my nails were painted with black gel polish as a base & put under the UV light. once the chrome powder was applied, i was so delighted! i knew i would be coming back. i made an appointment for my mother upon leaving for the very next day with Mary. when i got home, i showed my mom my nails & her response was "OMG! how beautiful!" goes without saying why the shop has their name. 6 - previous reviews have stated khan is the man to see when it comes to fancy elaborate designs. i have design i showed him & to my surprise, he said he could do it. however, he is by appointment only & appointments need to be scheduled at least 2 wks in advance. i feel like that is understandable. i would enjoy someone taking their time with me rather than rush & do a sloppy job. i wont return for business if that happens & it has happened in the past at previous salons. 7 - my daughter wanted to get her nails polished as well as her toes. the gal who polished her nails & toes was very sweet & took her time with my daughter. she even let her sit in the pedicure chair with it on while she got a little pampering time. most places prohibit that. my daughter absouletly loves her mani/pedi. priced at $20 for both & it comes with a free design is fairly priced.8 - overall, my experience today at OMG nails was a huge success. THANK YOU OMG NAILS for a wonderful experience today! outstanding quality & awesome service! (didnt have to worry about someone working with me then stopping to tend to another customer for their eyebrows or something else. i HATE that.) i am looking forward to bringing my mother in tomorrow morning & am quite excited to schedule my future appointment with Khan for my fancy design. if youre looking for a nail shop, i definitely recommend OMG nails! Signature pedicure was amazing! So, so worth it. My technician who's name I've forgotten was very attentive. It took me a good 30 minutes to pick a nail color (too many good choices) and she was so nice. Removed all of the rough skin on my feet and shaped my toenails nicely (I like them short and she trimmed them just right.)I did a gel french manicure and it's been 4 days and they look like I just got them done. but, they are not even (some nails have bumps of super thick white tip and others are streaky in some spots but, I was so relaxed from my pedicure that I wasn't paying attention to my manicure at the time. So, not her fault, it was mine for not noticing.Over all a great experience.Missing the 5th star because some of the conversations the staff were having were inappropriate and it was just a little too warm inside for my liking. The AC should have been turned down 2-4 degrees.Will be returning! Read Less

In town for the week and had a nail emergency. I was able to book a same day appt for a mani pedi. Definitely happy with the results. They were friendly and accommodating. Spoke English well enough to be able to communicate and understand what I wanted. They took their time with me and were extremely meticulous with their work. Do a shitty job once: Shame on YouDo a shitty job twice: WHAT THE $%!# was I thinking?!!?!?I really, reeeeaaaallllllly tried to give this place a second chance, but alas they disappointed yet again. My first attempt here, I made an appt for a manicure. I was really excited based off the Yelp reviews alone! My manicurist seemed friendly as I sat down for my 45 min chill zone. No chill was had. I told her I wanted my nails shaped round and she proceeded to make them square and said they looked better this way. I told her, "No.. I don't want square. I want round."  So she rounded the square, but they still had the square shape. Whatever. The entire time, she was fixated on what the other ladies were doing, turning around and looking at the colors, listening to the other guests conversations, stopped working on me to talk to the lady next to her, etc... etc... My second trip I had Huong: she filed my nails in different shapes. My nails were alll funky and diagonal and when I asked her to fix it, she just stayed quiet and grabbed my hand to fix it. I was satisfied and we continued with the mani. But then...  She was painting my nails and noticed a small piece of dust on one of my nails. She grabbed the nail scissor cutters and dug it into my nail. So much that I yelped "OW!" and pulled my hand back. She said, "Oh that hurt?" Yes, yes it hurt! She started speaking to the manicurist next to her in another language and they both started laughing, looked at me and the other lady said, "Oh, did she scare you?"Cool. The pricing here is great. It was inexpensive and my nails are shaped better than they were at the previous salon. However, it was a little frustrating that my nail tech didn't understand "holographic" even though it is something that this salon offers, so I had to go for something more basic. Even though I didn't get what I wanted, it still looks pretty. I would have paid more for a little extra flair and more initial consultation. I would love to go back and have the same great experiences I read about here on Yelp before I booked an appointment. It was misleading to see a lot of nail art pictures on Yelp and then not be able to receive the same type of service. Read Less

Been going here for about 2 years now, but I've been getting my nails done by the owner for about 10+ years. I followed Khan from place to place until him and his wife finally got a shop of their own. Always friendly, clean, and great pricing. Needed to get a fill and they were close by. I went in and they were able to help me out. The lady at station #8 was able to help me out. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she quickly got to work. I love the shape of them, however they look they are about to pop off or water can get in between the acrylic and the nail. My friend and I were feelin' a manicure and some girl time, so we called ahead to make a 4:00 PM appointment. When we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and sat us next to each other. (Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later, they moved my friend to another seat that was behind a pillar. She wasn't far, but it certainly made it a bit difficult to chat. It didn't ruin the experience by any means, I just would have preferred to see the friend I went with.)The woman handling my manicure did a great job! She wasn't rough when filing, clipping, or shaping my nails and her technique was flawless!(In fact, she was so fast-- without sacrificing quality-- that I was able to also get a pedicure while my friend was finishing up!)The ONLY thing I would have changed was that the massages accompanying the mani and pedi were a bit slower and longer. One thing that made this place unique from countless others I've been to is that the different manicurists all interacted with the different customers-- rather than just their own.
