Lotus salon is a great find! After trying a few nail salons in Elk Grove with mixed results, I was glad to find this awesome nail salon. My daughter loves to get her nails done here, and pedicures are just as enjoyable too! The place is clean and welcoming, the interior is recently painted in cool gray color, giving it more contemporary feel. The staff at Lotus is the best! Monica and Tee are very friendly, easy and fun to chat with, and most importantly, they get nails done beautifully every single time. And the quality of their work is super, acrylics last 3-4 weeks until next appointment. This salon operates by appointment only, but it's easy to schedule in-person or over a phone. Amazing! It's a cute, clean nail salon located on the Big Horn side of the shopping center. They have a ton of colors to choose from whether you're looking for regular polish, gel, or acrylic powder. Monica did a great job on my nails! She's funny, very sweet and kept making sure that I was happy with the length and shape of my nails. Their prices are also very reasonable! If you're looking for a place to get quality work done, look no further! Almost forgot to mention, please MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! They only take walk-ins if they have the time slot available. I've been coming here for three years now and have never had a single bad experience. They take their time, are clean, and have excellent customer service. Their nail polish lasts for weeks and doesn't begin to chip until the third week (and this is coming from someone who always has her feet in gym shoes running around). Love Lotus!!! Read Less

I really wish I had before and after pictures because before I sat down with Dixie. . .my nails were horrible. She listened to everything I wanted and delivered. She also made me very comfortable being there. I was looking for a nail shop I could call my home, now I've found it! Thank you Dixie for such an amazing job.Update: I should have waited to post a review. After my nails were completely dry, the paint was bumpy. Blah. Only after a week, two nails began to lift. Blah. I went to the shop to get them fixed, closed. I went back two or three days later, closed. Very inconvenient. I ended up at another shop. After the repairing of my two nails, the filling of the other nails, and the reshaping and repainting of all of my nails. . .in my opinion, Lotus Nails is just okay. I wanted to like this place as the girls here are super friendly and they do not rush you when it's your time slot. They aren't distracted by phone calls or leave you hanging. However, they lack quality. Hence the one star. It has only been 8 days since I've gotten my gel french manicure full set ($40 + $5 tip) and I need a new set already. My pinky broke, and bubbles are appearing in other nails. I'm trying to wear it out as long as possible until I'm back in San Jose to go to my usual nail tech. If you're looking to relax and do a simple gel polish, yes, I would suggest this place. If you're looking durable and long lasting gel acrylics, I wouldn't recommend here. Read Less

This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be going back. Lynnie is amazing in all aspects! She is not only a wonderful nail tech, but she is super artistic. After seeing all of the positive reviews about this place I finally decided to give it a try since I'm was in between nail shops . First time I came they were all booked , but today I got lucky and was able to walk in and get a pedicure and gel manicure . Kristy did my nails and she did a perfect job ! I have been having a hard time finding a nail shop and I am so happy I came here ! The pedicure was amazing , she took her time and was very detailed and did not rush at all . The nice thing also was I was able to dry my toe nails while still being in the massage chair which is a plus for me because I love the massage chair . She was also able to fit me in for a gel manicure and she also did an incredible job. My nails before looked terrible after having acrylics for months but she transformed my nails . It was my first time with Lotus Nails and Spa. The first few attempts to check them out was unsuccessful as I thought they do walk ins. They usually operate on appointment only. When I first walked in they had chairs available thinking that it will be easy to get a spot.  But they were booked up. I didnt understand why until I made an appointment and really gave them a  shot. I understand now why people love it here so much and why I echo the rave reviews on their yelp. Dixie worked on my spa mani pedi. I got gel on my mani for an additional $15. I thought the price was fair. What was refreshing about my experience with Dixie and Lotus spa was I could actually have a conversation with her. Dixie super sweet and personable. And she does an amazing job on my nails. I think she spent 2 hrs painstakingly spending time on my mani and pedi. Her time and patience shows in her work. While having my nails done, it just felt like we were old friends chatting away. She engages you. She takes the time and thus requires an appointment system to give you the quality nails you want. There's also limited staff. There's a variety of colors and options. I got the the ombre gel which changes colors with temperature which was pretty neat. With that said, I might just become a regular here for my nail needs from here on out. Best nail salon in Elk Grove. Everyone is super friendly and does a great job. They know what is on trend and can do everything from manicures, coffin and stiletto nails. You pay $20 for a fill when you get a different shape, for regular like square round it's $15. You do pay about 3-5 dollars more but you are paying for quality!!! My mom usually got gel over her acrylics and they never looked thick. They are perfectionists, very clean and sanitary even giving you your own file and buffer to keep and bring back to your next appointment. Not very "walk in" friendly but for a good reason, they don't over book so you're not waiting and they won't rush their job. Everyone in the shop is extremely talented!! Read Less

If you follow my reviews you probably know that I am some what of a nail shop "tramp" ! I have frequented many nail shops in  Stockton, Elk Grove, South Sac and Sac over the past years. I am picky about the service that I receive but not OCD but just know what I like. I had seen the very positive reviews for Lotus Nails about 6 months ago but due to needing an appointment I was never able to get in when I needed to get my nails done on the weekend . Finally I made a same day appointment when I was off during the week and when I arrived I was super surprised that two of the Techs Lynnie & Te both had done my nails before at Allure nail shop in Stockton!  They had relocated here a while! I have been 3 times now and realize this will be my new nail shop due to the following: The workers are so friendly, will let you talk their ears off, always on time ( due to appointments) attentive, and most importantly great nail service skills. The shop is not fancy but clean and organized. They give you the file and buffer in a baggie when your done. They have a good selection of colors in  powder, gel, and regular polish. Best of all this shop is easy to get to from my house but try to remember to bring cash but if you forget you can always buy a pack of gum at the nearby Chevron and get cash back. Hands down! Best customer service in the Elk Grove region! This has got to be my favorite nail salon. They only take appointments so make sure to call in advance! Thinking this is another basic Vietnamese nail salon?! Think again! Everyone is super inviting and speaks fluent English. I've had several salonists, but by far, I love Dixie the most! I had a cut on one of my fingers, and I asked if they could be gentle around that area, and they were very careful! Not to mention, NO bubbles, and always a smooth finish whether you opt for acrylic or a gel manicure. I've also had their pedicure, and it is quite awesome! I've decided to venture off around other Elk Grove nail salons, but this is definitely the best and will be my regular place for now on! Read Less

Leni did a great job on my nails, love them. The place isn't fancy but they are clean & do a good job. Haven't gotten a pedicure there yet, but soon. They are very sanitary, they give you the files/buffers they use on your nails to take home- something I haven't seen at all in other Elk Grove nail salons. I think I have found my new place! I asked some friends for suggestions of where to go to get my nails done, but I ended up stopping here based on the reviews, and the fact that it was near me. I had no appointment, but they were so welcoming and accommodated me quickly. COME HERE they did an amazing job and took their time. I will definitely be back and would recommend to all my friends. Elk grove, I am not impressed with any of you nail shops here and that is why I drive to Fair Oaks. I was desperately in need of a fill and didn't want to drive all the way there that day. I walked in and they said 30 in with 2 nail technicians available on a tuesday. I left to do some errands and came back with a lady ready! I was surprised because most lie and say a shorter amount of time to keep clients waiting. I paid 20 for a fill and an extra 10 for gel. I was told its by appointment only but I got lucky! I can see why they do appointment only because they really don't rush and want to give their customers the best service possible. They even told they soak offs instead of ripping your full set off. Most don't do soak off because it takes more time and work, leaving them less time for more clients to work on. There was not a big selection on nudes, but I did find a very pretty nude I ended up loving. Thi was very diligent, careful taking her time on my nails as well as making sure I was ok with all the shaping done. I have had my nails for 3 weeks and it is still shiny, havnt chipped or lifted! Very affordable for their service, because all other nail salons I've been to charge more for rushed service that does not do good work. It is worth taking the time to make an appointment. It is a smaller shop with little space. Very clean. They give you the new tools they use on you to take home and bring back which is what every nail shop should do because they are not suppose to reuse it on other clients! I love Lotus Nails! I walked into Lotus with no appt. I was greeted immediately, and asked if I have an appt. One of the lady's got up and check the appt book, and stated they can service me right then.!! Great! There is a big sign saying CASH ONLY!! Which I found was a big inconvenience but whatever! Luckily a gas station is right next door (walking distance) or else I would have went else where. I picked my color, not much of a selection but seen a few that caught my eye. Was seated in the chair and my pedi began... The massage was nice and relaxing!! Not rushed, my tech Jennifer did a great job. Not much conversation between us, but I'm okay with that. The ambience was relaxing, no loud conversations,no TV shows on the TV. Just Nice music playing from the TV.. This is my 2nd nail salon I been too since moving to EG and right now Lotus will be my go to place. LOVE these girls! I am so happy to have found this place and that they actually had an opening the first time I ever walked it. There's only 4 girls and they're all really good so it is hard to get an appointment so appointments are pretty much necessary. I always call a day or 2 ahead and make an appointment, I never request anyone because so far they are all awesome! I never feel rushed like I do in many other nail salons, they're always open to trying something new and are good at making suggestions when I have no idea what I want. Everyone is very friendly and talkative throughout the service which I enjoy. And my gel  manicure always last at least 2-3 weeks (sometimes 4) unlike other places I have been. Read Less

My mother was in town and in need of a mani/pedi, so after seeing that my friends had gone here and had a great experience I figured it was time I try them out!I called at 11:30am on a Saturday hoping to be able to make a same day appointment, and lucky for us they were able to pencil us in at 1pm! While my mother got a mani/pedi, I just opted for a pedicure as it was long overdue. The girls that helped us were very nice and friendly. My mothers foot was broken at the time, so the girl was very careful not to hurt her and still did a fabulous job. My mother also has to get acrylic nails put on her big toes thanks to a botched removal of the nail years ago, and they looked fantastic as well! My pedicure was just what I needed. Some mango scrub and a leg massage had be comfortable and relaxed. I had the girl paint a french tip on my toes and she did a great job. I'm glad I followed my friends here because I will definitely return! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because when I called to make the appointment I asked if they did American's (because that's the way my mom likes her fingernails painted) and they said they did. I went here for the first time, hoping to find my new favorite spot to go to for my pedicure needs. Cause believe me, I need it.It's in the same plaza as boba tea on Elk Grove, but it's in the back by chevron. The place itself is nice, small, lotus decor. When you walk in there's a pedi spa on the left and a mani station on the right. I love that they spoke English, well I should say or well enough, to understand what I needed and want. I walked in and it was slow, she told me they're usually slow Mondays and Tuesdays so walk ins are welcome but other than that it's best to make an appointment. Dixie was extremely helpful. She asked what kind of scrub I wanted. I chose between mango, milk, lavender and one other that I forgot, but I chose mango. FORGIVE me; as I DID post a picture of your hard work on Yelp and Facebook!So ANYway, my friend and I decided, after an incredibly long and inconceivably terrible day at work, that we needed a good pampering; and chose Lotus due to their reviews--and yes, I'll admit that the proximity from work was a rather strong draw.We arrived at Lotus at 6:30 PM. When we got to the door, we realized that they close at 7:00. Perfect, right? Cherry on top of the disaster of a cake last Saturday was. I looked (probably pathetically) over at the two women behind the counter and asked, "Do you have time for us? Pretty please? It's been a really bad day." They looked at each other, looked back at us and then smiled as they enthusiastically said yes!Please see below for the reasons why I will ABSOLUTELY return to this location, and why I will ABSOLUTELY encourage others to do so as well:1)The conversation with the nail artist (I was lucky enough to have Anita) was fantastic. She was engaging and seemed interested the entire time. There was not even ONE moment where any of the artists in the place were talking in a language I didn't understand under their breaths.2)They used the foil and cottonball technique to break the seal on my gells instead of dunking my entire hand in acetone.3)The filing and actual polish work was flawless.4)They let you take home the file and buffer they use on you for no extra charge!
