I've been here before with my sisters and had a terrible experience. Against my better judgement we came back this week to give them one more try. All I can say is that the staff is pretty rude and they are incredibly rushed with everything. I'm walking out TWO AND A HALF hours later with bleeding cuticles and an afternoon wasted. Love the convenience, normally able to get in right away. Recently went in for a pedicure, they convinced me to do a pedicure too. I had just removed tips myself from them, a couple weeks prior. I had been using a nail product to rebuild my nails bc tips had left them thin, brittle. I told them ok. I will do manicure, but I want them separate, pedicure 1st, on vacation, had time, really wanted to enjoy my pedicure 1st... we'll message must not have been shared by Rachel, because as soon as they started my pedicure, Kelly started my manicure. I am an elementary teacher, washing my hands frequently, my cuticles are dry, plus, nail beds were torn up from a month of tips they did. Rachel said gel wouldn't last but they would try. ( btw, gel lasted over 2 weeks)Well Kelly starts on my hands & starts speaking in their language. All of the team are talking, from front of store to the end. It was so obvious it was about me. I was mortified! Not only did they not follow my request of doing pedicure & manicure separate, they then were ridiculing me amongst the workers in their language. Finally Kelly says I'm sad about your cuticles, it looks so painful, but I will fix. After her working very hard, detailed, & they looked great, another woman put on the gel. During the gel, another costumer that Kelly was working with got pissed with her work & yelled at her for over 15 minutes because Kelly wouldn't apologize for drawing blood. It was a circus! On top of that, the UV hand dryer for gel wasn't working, kept going of & the lady was getting pissed at me! Bottom line, I was on vacation, wanted to relax, read trash magazines & instead, felt ridiculed, didn't get my request of pedicure, then manicure, then was blamed for faulty machine. Oh & had to listen to a pissed of costumer for WAY to long because Rachel didn't know how to properly handle it & Kelly doesn't know how to be professional.  AND, went back again, foolish me! Rachel was on vacation, asked for gel manicure, Kelly was sitting in front, on her phone. She tells me wait, just a few minutes. It was longer then a few minutes. The service that I have received at this nail salon was just fine. However when I took my teenage daughter there it was a completely different story. They had her wait an hour longer than they said the expected wait would be when she walked in. Then they charged her more than they should have for the acrylic nails citing that she had asked for pink tipped nails which cost extra. She did not ask for that.  She didn't even know what pink tip nails were.  Because it's my money that is paying for the service, they cheated me out of time and money when they thought they were cheating a teenager that didn't know any better. Very unhappy with how my acrylic nails turned out. They asked what was wrong at the end and I told them and then didn't even say a word after I explained! You can see through the color to underneath where my natural nail is and I even told them after applying I think it's too light. Also left some of my gel color that was previously there! this place did a great job on my nails and they were really cheap. only $25 with a $5 tip for a gel manicure. i'm giving it 4 stars because it was crowed and they were very short on staff. but other than that it was really good. Read Less

I don't think it gets any less professional...they always change their prices because last time I came they charged me less and this time more. I gave my cousin who was with me some change and the lady doing my nails asks me why I'm giving my cousin money? Like what's it to you? When I asked for my change back the lady looked at me as if she didn't know what I was saying until the other worker told her to give me back my change. I have been going to Rachel since they opened!Everyone is busy and I see Rachel and Vincent you need to make an appointment they are very busy . And walk ins Are always coming in . The comments they had to wait is true just make an appointment they take there time and the salon is clean and neat . Don't complain if you have to wait !! Made a appointment at 11am they took us at 11:20am. No one said hello just "pick your color" I dislike this place and shall never return ever in a million years. Came to this place on a recommendation from a co worker. I live in South Sacramento and am new to this area for work and needed to get my nails done for a wedding this upcoming weekend. I would usually never cheat on my current nail salon, because they do a fantastic job, but I was running out of time and needed a quick solution. I read some of the reviews and was a little worried, I won't lie. But I took the plunge anyways, and boy am I glad I did. They were fast and very friendly. But most of all, my French mani is about as on point as I have ever had it yall. I could not be more happy. This place is fast, efficient, clean and BUSY! I've gone to this salon a couple of times for a full and they did an ok job, but the top coat they used NEVER fully dried. It wasn't wet to the touch, but kept denting. I had to go back and have them redo it and still had an issue. That was about a year ago. I recently went back to give them another try for a full set. The gal who put the tips on didn't appear to know what she was doing and half of my nails aren't even glued to the tip. There is a gap between my real nail and the tip, so water, food and whatever else is getting trapped in between the nail. In addition, Rachel (the owner), was extremely rough and not only cut my cuticles, but also kept pushing down on my skin underneath my nails, so hard that it separated my skin from my nail. Not to mention, I'm the idiot who paid $50 to have this done (pink & white's are outrageous there). I highly recommend taking your business to another salon. Rachel and her staff are the best! My ex and I have been going there for about a year and a half now. We had tried several different places in El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park. None ever came up to the standards we deem necessary for an enjoyable visit. They either charged a lot and tried to over sell you, were unclean, poor personal hygiene habits, etc. With Rachel, we hit a home run as they do very good work, the business is run very well, and the price is right. Since I'm totally disabled and can't reach my feet, I go in for a pedicure on a fairly regular basis. I only do manicures once in awhile when my cuticles start getting unruly. Another benefit to this shop is the hair salon next door, Finest Cuts. Pam is my go to gal for men's hair cuts. She has my cut down to the letter. Also, on the other side of Rachel's is the Safeway grocery store with their gas station. So, you can basically kill four birds with one stone. Gas up, get groceries, have your nails done, and get a hair cut. One stop shopping... Outstanding! Read Less

This is the only place I go to get my nails done! I used to only go to Rachel because she's the owner and I've had some bad experiences with other nail salons in the past. This was my second not-so-great experience here. The first time, the girl was SUPER unfriendly, but did a great gel manicure.Today, I went in and everyone was very friendly. The owner herself is always welcoming, so I hope this doesn't paint them in a negative light, but I won't return here again. Apparently, my nail technician, while was very sweet, let me know she really likes trimming the cuticle (my least favorite part--it makes me a little sick feeling). By the end of the appointment, I felt like maybe she has a fetish with it. She kept trimming and trimming and I felt with the skin at the top of my nails hacked and cut into. I have no idea why she felt the need to meticulously cut by the top of my nail. I had to tell her to stop and left irritated.I know she tried to do a good job, but I won't go back. Wow just wowThis is my 2nd weird/negative experience here after coming here quite a few times, so this will be my very last time here.Long story short, I always tip $5 on a basic pedicure, always, regardless if the service is great or horrid as this industry is tough.  Well today I had zero time to get to a bank so I used a credit card to pay.  The girl asked me if I had cash for her tip.  I told her sorry I did not and wrote $5 on the tip area on my credit card slip.  She seriously then said "next time bring cash for tip"!  Omg seriously!!! Wow just wow!  I'm blown away by the brazenness of that statement.Yes I do know they have to report tips, especially on credit cards, so I normally pay with cash but come on, you cannot tell a customer to "next time bring cash"......epic fail Rachel Nails, epic fail Read Less
