The Place is under New management! I've been there a few times before but now There is a new owner and I heard she use to work for a high class Nail salon in Del Mar! I Tried her and she does perfect nails, Doesn't wipe off mistakes at all, and for sure better than any other nail person I've tried in the area. She gave me a big discount since she is re-opening the place as under new management! She could really use some more customers since this place is known for some bad reviews/reputation. I hate leaving bad reviews, I work in a hair salon and when someone leaves a bad review it effects the business. But, unfortunately, this is well deserved. I have been getting full nail black acrylics for the past 9 years. Never anything different. I was out of work from having surgery so my nails were extremely grown out and on one the acrylic broke off. My usual place was so full yesterday and they didn't have availability until today in the afternoon. With how bad they were, and two full time jobs that I HAVE to look presentable I needed them done. I pass by this place multiple times a day so I thought I would give it a go. This place was completely empty and quiet. At that time it seemed nice to just relax. NOPE. It took a little over two hours to do this and he kept messing up and having to redo a few nails many times, my nails are still completely uneven. Some are shorter than others. My thumbs are completely crooked, slanted, uneven and bumpy. One nail is almost see through even with the black acrylic. They definitely had poor quality materials, and showed poor quality work. I'm not sure if he was tired, but on top of my nails ending up looking horribly, my fingers around my nails are all cut up from him. I thought the pain of this would have already gone away. But the pain from every finger being cut hurts like crazy still. I have cuts on the tips of my nails and along side my nails. I do quite a bit of typing so I'll be in pain at work, the same as I am writing this review. I wish I could recommend this place since they were so nice, but I will never be able to due to all the cuts, and bad quality of nails. I won't bring people to a business that I will never return to. I always see this place when I go to the grocery store so I decided to stop by. GREAT prices, everyone was really friendly and they did an amazing job. My nails were really cute! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of their nail polish selection. I like OPI and they did not have many OPI polishes and some of the polishes looked a little old. I had David work on my nails both times and he is really nice! Definitely worth checking out. Read Less

This place was very unprofessional, and I will never go back to this salon or recommend them to anyone. I first went in as a "new customer" on a Sunday because my typical nail salon I went to was closed. I got a full set french tip with gel and a pedicure. The whole entire time I was getting my service the manicurist keep on telling me how their salon which was open for "24 years" was better than any other salon because they were so clean, professional and cheap! Well she got the clean part right but when it comes to the overall salon, employees and professionalism they absolutely get a 0 in my book. The manicurist made the acrylics way to thin(due to her either rushing or just lack of knowledge) the nails starting chipping the day after I got my them done & within 3 days 7 out of my 10 nails were chipped & she also made me pay extra for gel after she put 1 coat of gel and I argued with her because I've gotten gel before and they Always put at least a minimum of 3 coats, so this was also very frustrating because they always talk up the gel to help last longer and look shinier... But in my case there wasn't enough coats put on so.. The one coat of gel kept flaking off and chipping like regular nail polish.... So I ended up going back to the salon less than a week later and I had my receipt and the ladies at the salon tried to tell me that I did not get my service from their salon because they had been open for 24 years! I argued with a lady for about ten minutes and she said she could not give me a refund but she would fix my nails for a small fee(to replace the chips that had chipped off the edge of the nails) & she repeatedly told me that It was my fault that they chipped and their was a customer sitting in a chair and I showed her and she could see what was wrong with my nails... But of course the salon was open for "24 years" so they wouldn't do a job like that.. But they obviously did. I did not want my nails or feet touched again because it'd end up costing me way more money.... This salon is outrageous and the customer service and my customer satisfaction was so horrible... I do not recommend this place don't waste your time or money at this salon!Read Less

Went to valley hair salon for a haircut. I decided to go since I just needed a trim and didn't feel the need for pay 35 bucks for a simple trim. I will NEVER go back. The older lady who usually does nails cut my hair, but I should have just blindfolded myself and went at it on my own. My hair is about half an inch longer on one side, and the back is completely uneven. I wanted my layers trimmed and she completely ignored them. if you like your hair and are thinking of going here, just find a kid and give them scissors and let them cut your hair. it'll turn out better Read Less

This is one of the best kept secrets in El Cajon! This is a little shop next to the Arco gas station. Don't let the location fool you! This is a great salon. Ask for Tan, she gave me the best haircut and highlights for a very good price. I absolutely love my highlights. She worked with me to get the perfect color. I will definitely be back. I have very long dark hair and have never been able to get natural looking color done for a reasonable price until now. I am extremely happy and would recommend this hair salon to anyone looking to get highlights or lowlights. Many people also go there for eyebrow waxing, which she is also great at. Read Less
