I came and they said the wait was 10 minutes, I waited about 15 minutes now and I didn't make it a big deal just waiting patiently. Then  a few chairs open up the nail lady comes up to me and says 4 minutes the water is changing I say ok then 3 people walk in and sign in and they give those spots to them and they said another 10 minutes.. Cleanliness: Very clean! They Autoclave their tools.  Use a new nail filer with each client. They use a new tub wrap with each client. Friendliness: The staff is friendly. I loved that I'm offered a bottle water. Kat usually does my gel Mani and regular pedicure is done by MiMi. Both are very professional and listens to what my needs were. The owner pays attention to those little extras and is always very warm and welcoming. This is THE best nail place i've been too in a very long time. Used to go to both of the ones in/by grossmont center and this doesn't compare. The staff are the sweetest and they love what they do! Everyone at paradise nails is amazing. Not only do they do an AMAZING job but they also take their time. Some nail salons are in such a rush to get you out the door that they never ask to make sure you like your polish but at Halo Nail the technicians take their time and periodically check in to make sure you're happy with your nails. Had acrylics done. Everyone seemed very nice.  Hard to judge sometimes when they are speaking a different language.  After I left, I realized 4 or 5 nails had bubbles or sharp bumps on them.  I knew it would cause me problems catching on sweaters or just bugging me, so I decided to return.  She seemed aware that she had left them with sharp spots. I LOVED this place. They have a huge selection of quality polishes. My pedicure was extremely thorough. The woman working on me did a fantastic job painting my nails and we had great talk. I've been getting my mani/pedi done here for a couple months now, and I'm ready to release the review .... I love this place. It's close to home, the service is friendly and welcoming. I have natural nails, so I just have them paint and trim. I do not know how well the fills and stuff are done here. I'd bet they are great because I'm happy when I leave there and the other clients seem happy as well. They do very nice nail art, and if you bring in a picture of what you want, they do it! AND it looks really nice. I'm planning on buying gift cards for my friends as Christmas approaches because this is truly a HIDDEN GEM. :D Suggestion to the business: Please add more nail polish colors, it's somewhat limited in comparison to other shops. I went their coz of the good reviews I saw, however, it was a horrible experience. It says they close at 7pm and I went at 6:10pm to get a fill. There were two table available to do te fill and when I walked in the first girl said yah sure to have a seat and then the girl who does the fills came up and said we have no time. Went here today because I had a gift certificate from mother in law and have been looking for great nail place in SD. I called first to make an appointment since I don't live in East County. It is a hole in the wall place next to a car maintenance lot. Really small parking lot.They were really friendly and started on me right away. The place looked clean but I wish they would have offered me a magazine while I sitting there. I just left this salon after giving them a try for the first time, and I must say I have NEVER been so angry when trying to have my nails done, then I was when I left this place! Yes, staff is nice, friendly all that good stuff. HOWEVER, they tried to play me about the price and I left without finishing. Tomorrow is the Super Bowl and I am a DIE HARD SEAHAWK FAN, originally from Washington, and excited to get my nails done in hawk colors. I had a drawing, and pictures of exactly how I wanted them done, and the colors I wanted. Not to mention, I'm wearing a seahawk shirt! Hellen understood. I explained to her, and two other techs exactly what I wanted, and the price of $27.00 was what they told me I would be charged. The fact that they didn't have the matte navy blue I wanted, I found a replacement and decided to go on with it. That should have been my first instinct to leave. Also, I didn't need nails glued on, all I wanted was acrylic over my natural, all good. When it comes time to paint, suddenly Hellen tried to paint the whole nail blue, when I specifically told her I wanted the tip grey with green specks (which u found the exact polish for that), and the tip line to be line green. Then she tries to paint the tip blue and that's when I stopped her and asked her what was she doing? Was she confused? Because we went over exactly what I wanted for at least 10 minutes before I was satisfied they understood. Now they are trying to charge me an additional almost $20.00 for the nail colors! By this time I'm going off!!! They threatened to call the police on me if I didn't pay $22.00 for the acrylic! The price wasn't the point, it was the fact that they tried to play me! I am still very upset as I write this because I have been getting my nails done since I was 15, and I'm very particular about what I want, and I'm no dummy. If I'm spending MY money, you as a business do not have the right to raise your voice at me about what I know I told you! I will be calling tomorrow to speak to somebody about this! Read Less

Very kind and sweet staff. The pink and white set I received was just ok. I had to go home and reshape all my nails because each one was different!  I went back for my first fill only one week later. The original acrylic underneath was not properly removed or filed off where it lifted and now it looks terrible! A non licensed girl painted my toe nails, which is fine I guess for just a polish. I went to this place about 5 months ago because i heard it was nice inside. i just returned from traveling across Europe and finally had a chance to write this review. I am not a young women anymore and the parking here was horrible to start. I tried to pull into the little center and there was cars being worked on and cars sitting around not in parking places, and there was no where to park. I carefully backed up and parked across the street. When i finally got into the salon, i was greeted very nicely and everyone who worked there seemed very nice. I made an appointment for the works, full set and a mani pedi. My husband had just passed away and i wanted to have a nice relaxing day . It started off ok until my my lin i think here name was ,kept getting phones calls and texts. i planned on being there a couple hours so i thought , if this lady doesn't stop to socializing i am not going to make it to my other engagement . The phone calls never stopped and the smell of gas and loud car engine noise from the cars getting worked on next door, about made me faint . When i didn't think it could get worse, then i smelled cigarette smoke from someone smoking by the door. I didn't say anything for awhile but i couldn't take all the smells anymore!!!! i asked if they could please turn on the air or shut the doors because it was getting a little warmer in May ! The lady said i am very sorry and shut the door. I went to the restroom because the lady took a few extra minutes to talk to a guy who was smoking outside the door. Finally no smell of gas or cigarettes and my lin was making progress without any distractions . I was relaxing finally in the spa chair when a younger greasy looking middle eastern guy comes in and sits down next to me to talk to her. He smelled of grease and cigarettes .She was massaging my feet at that time and i was totally relaxed , and the guy was talking about how much he cant wait to see here that night or something to that effect. He said sorry for keeping here up so late the night before on the phone and hoped she didn't get in trouble. I cannot believe why my lin could not wait to socialize and talk about what they where going to do that night until after work. At that point i couldn't believe she still has a job there and was not fired ! i was going to call and ask for the owners number but decided to just write this review instead. I told the girls i play cards with not to go to this place and anyone else who pays hard earned money , not to waste it there . The parking is terrible and the noise and the smells coming from the auto repair could make you pass out not to mention the lack of attention i got.When i left , same guy smoking out front .  I left there thinking about my late husband instead of just felling relaxed ! Its a small place but the ladies are friendly. they offer offer you a ice cold water or soda during your service.  Its very clean.  Parking kind of sucks since you haveto park in the street or in the lot across the street.  Prices are average but i'm wiling to pay for good clean service. Read Less
