Threads is the only place I will go for waxing and threading salon services! They are amazing! They are very flexible with scheduling and take walk ins for some services. Today I saw Chetna for waxing and Sura for threading and I feel super positive and confident about my skin after receiving their outstanding services. All the stylists are great, however I would like to share my experience with the stylists I saw today: Chetna is extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. She listens to what I want and is extremely thorough . . and as a woman who has to unfortunately deal with a lot of unwanted stubborn hair, this is one of the many reasons I only go to Threads Beauty Bar and Spa and request her. As a person with extremely sensitive skin, this is the only salon I have visited that will not only apply cold compresses to my skin after waxing (to prevent the skin irritation or redness that I am susceptible to), but are also happy to give me the ice I request (which prevents skin irritation from the sun after treatment). This salon has a special lighted magnification device, so when I walk out of there literally every hair is gone . . . which is not what I have experienced at other salons. She also provides a mini massage before and after treatment with oil and makes sure all the wax is gone. She is terrific! Sura asks what I am looking for before threading my eyebrows, so I get what I want: whether it's a more pronounced arch, thinner eyebrows, or just simply to get the stray hairs cleaned up. She also provides a mini massage when applying lotion to my skin after threading. Before I learned about Threads I had some horrible experiences at other salons where I ended up with mistmatched eyebrows or they were way too thin, and I am very happy to say that I receive only the best treatment here. I can't believe it took so long to review this place! I've been going here for yeeeeeeeears, pretty much since they opened. What people don't understand is that everyone likes their brows a bit different. You need to find a threading expert who you jive with and you need to communicate to them what you want. They can't magically create what you imagine in your head so be clear and precise when describing what you want! If you're hesitating, ask them to go slow and show you progress little by little. Same goes with any other body part, communication is key! Facials, waxing, anything!I've loved working with so many of their threading ARTISTS and their estheticians (go Lily and Sunita!) and of course, Chetna, the master of it all. Love you ladies! Oh how I missed "Threads" I'm never leaving them again I've been to different places to get my eyebrows threaded but "Threads" is the best by far I'm back. Threads is worth the drive from Manteca to Dublin. Read Less

I love getting my eyebrows threaded. I especially love getting them done here. Neeta and Hama are both really good. Neeta was very careful to make sure my little bit of eyebrows I have were symmetrical and even. She was gentle as you can be with threading and very nice as well. Read Less

I had a terrible experience at Threads! They kept me waiting for 30 mts inspite of making an appointment. I came in for a trim & hair color but was given highlights. It took 3 hours and twice what I expected to pay. I was still willing to overlook that as the hairstylist was sincere & tried her best and it was a misunderstanding. But the RUDENESS of the front desk girl was totally unacceptable. She is the sole reason I will never step foot there again! Read Less

This review is way overdue, but better late than never right?! I've been coming to Threads for over 3 years now and I've always had a great experience here. I usually get threading and mani-pedi services here, but I'm planning on branching out and getting a haircut next time :) I love that the ladies are all super friendly, but truthfully its the customer service that keeps me coming back. The pricing is fair and you can save a couple extra bucks if you buy your services in bulk (cause you know that darn hair is going to grow right back), but I love that the the facilities are always super clean, bright, and again service is top notch! I just moved here and this place is awesome! They have it dialed! When I walk in, within minutes I am assisted, they're staff is friendly, courteous, knowledgable and fast. Their prices are reasonable and threading technology is so awesome in comparison to waxing as it does not lead to the wrinkling of skin as quickly as repeated waxing. An added bonus is the ambiance of comfy couches, iced water, mints, and a boutique to shop while you wait. Have fun!!!!! Read Less

What a wonderful Christmas treat (2007). My 20 year old son Richard gifted me with a facial and eyebrow/upper lip wax that was so wonderful. I was greeted very nicely and quickly upon entering Threads Beauty Bar. It was my first visit and I didn't know what type of business it was since my son only told me to go to the business at a particular time as a Christmas surprise. They massaged my face, arms and hands, shoulders, and since I have carpal tunnel this was really relaxing. The room was clean, the staff was professional. I learned about threading (using thread to remove they eyebrow hair instead of wax) and was shocked at the procedure and how painless it is. Keep up the great work ladies. I'm so appreciative that my son was able to give me such a special Chrismas present--so thoughtful and unexpected. Obviously, the staff helped him decide the services explaining his option well I must say. p.s. Look for the beautiful jewelry they sell there too. They know how to make you feel like the special person you are. That's right MEN & WOMEN NEED TO BE PAMPERED!! - so treat the man in your life.
