The first time I went here, I got a gel manicure. The ambiance is pleasant and the workers are nice. However, There isn't a great deal of gel colors to choose from. Not even a week later, my gel polish started lifting. I decided to give this place a second shot, came back in months later to get a gel manicure, and again 5 days later the gel started peeling!! Gel is suppose to last at least 2 weeks, if I'm being charged $30 for a gel manicure, I expect it to last more than 5 days. I won't be returning. Read Less

Mimi's Nails is amazing and I would go there again when I am in the bay area visiting my family! I am from So Cal and was visiting my family when I walked in with two broken nails that needed to be fixed. I had been turned down by several different salons in the area. I was greeted right away by a young lady who was the owners daughter. She was polite, fast acting and efficient. I waited a few minutes and Mimi came over and fixed both my nails. It was New Years eve and the salon was busy, but she was so professional and kind! She did a wonderful job on my nails and her salon was so CLEAN. Clearly she runs an excellent salon as everyone who came through the door was greeted like an old friend! Thank you Mimi! It was so nice to meet you and both your daughters. First time here and the atmosphere is very glamorous. I was greeted and helped right away. I went in for a gel polish removal and new color. Chi did my nails and she did a great job. They even removed my cuticles for me, unlike another place I went to. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The yelp special is great for $20, and the regular price for gel is $30 which is still cheaper then other places around here. My go-to nail spot in Dublin and I am always pleased with the mani/pedi services. I'm the worst at getting my gels redone after 2 weeks and tend to leave them on wayyyy longer than I should.. but the gel always stays put, never chips and even though it's grown out (totally my own laziness) it's perfectly intact! I saw great reviews and decided to go with my mom, which we've never gotten our nails done together before. We were able to walk in, but my gel nails were so stuck on that I wanted to immediately remove them! On around half or more of my nails, I had that uncomfortable superglue-on-your-skin feeling that wasn't too great. I was able to unstick a few spots from my skin but if I had left it at that it would've gotten caught or something which is equally not as fun. The lady who was helping my mom seemed to notice my picking and offered to check and filed down the edges/unstick me so I will give that star (though that wasn't the most pleasant or pain-free experience). But they still look rough I still want to redo them...My mom and I noticed that our cuticles were pretty beat up, too much was removed a little too carelessly she was even bleeding a little bit. i dont really write any type of reviews, but im really unhappy with the poor job that me and my mom had done.It was our first time there i asked for gel manicure, they told me because it was ourfirst time it was gonna be $20. Im sure they doing this to recruit clients but with the poor job they do im sure they will never do.They lady who help me. she never made any eye contact or even talk to me.  She was wispering with a lady next to her not even putting attention of what  she was doing to me. She hurt me couple time because she was looking and talking to the lady next  her therefore she never saw  what she was doing to my nails. They were talking on their language i asked her couple questions but she never  them to me because she was so into the conversation she was having with the other ladt. She barely cutting my  cuticle not only that water it was freezing cold.After she did the worse manicure  ever that had in my life, she was waiting next to me for her tip.I got my nails done sunday and the paint is coming out. YESSS to this place! Ahhh! I think I finally found a nail shop I will continuously go to happily.  Me and my co-worker/gal friend wanted to get our nails done after work and our decision was very last minute. I called them around 4pm on Saturday and they made us an appt at 4:30.  Even though we did have to wait an additional 30 minutes, it was SO WORTH IT. Also considering it was Saturday so they were super busy.  I got my nails done by Mimi and it came out gorgeous! She was quick, friendly, and the place is clean.  Mimi is very detail oriented and even though she works quick she made sure my nails were the perfect shape and size. This is by far the best nail salon I have been to. The staff treat me and my family like we are their family. I have been coming to this salon for almost 2 years since I have moved to Dublin. Their deluxe pedicure is amazing and my shellac manicure is perfect every time. They are so friendly and always pay close attention to detail! I came in here when I took my son and his best friend to play laser tag next door and I needed some mom time. They have the best first visit gel deal of all time ($20!). And honestly that first visit is what brought me back for the second time. This place is light, clean, modern, beautiful. I've been here probably about 4 times in the last 2 months, and each time I've had a great experience. I always get welcomed when I walk into the door!  The technicians are friendly and it's such a family environment. It's relaxing and quiet with just enough chatter to remind you you're in a public place. I've probably had everyone do my nails except the owner. This place does get busy so it's helpful to make any appointment. I usually get a Gel Mani and Pedi for $50 or just a gel mani for $28. This place is the best! EVERYONE is professional and perfectionist, but Tina and Dinah are the ones that usually do my nails because they just seem to know my style and what I want. Tip: they are able to accommodate intricate design needs during morning weekday hours because, obviously, it takes a lot of time. This is actually a difficult review to write, because I actually loved this place.  I have been a long time loyal customer, and have referred quite a few people here.  I also have a large social media following of over 100,000 people and have posted my nails on there as well.  I was pretty much forced into writing this one star review, and it is all because of an incident with ONE employee there in which she alone, quite literally destroyed my long term relationship with them. I have been seeing Mimi for my nails for about a year now, and she is excellent.  She and I have talked about how we are both very particular and like things to be perfect in regards to nails, and she felt a lot of nail techs just had no pride in their work any more, and she does.  She is phenomenal, and absolutely one of the sweetest gals you could ever meet. She is always smiling, kind, and just awesome to be around.  Her husband is also in the salon often, and is as wonderful and kind as Mimi is.  Just truly NICE people. On May 4, Mimi was out of town, so I made an appointment with an acrylic tech I had not used before there. She was 40 minutes late. Tina, one of Mimi's daughters, was supposed to do my Shellac polish.  I let Tina know that it was my birthday, and I was already an hour behind on my schedule because they took me 40 minutes past my appointment time.  She rolled her eyes at me when I said I had dinner reservations with friends, and really needed to get going.  I noticed she did not use acetone on my acrylic nails before beginning to paint them, as has been my experience when I have Shellac over my acrylic polish. She apologized and told me my fill and polish would be free that day because she knew they "have run late a lot of times at my appointments." I thought that was nice, but Tina seemed like she was annoyed that I was even mildly upset that their poor scheduling completely messed up my birthday plans. I was there for over 2 hours, and I did not even have time to shower before my birthday dinner.  Whatever...I did not get upset, As I drove home, I noticed that a few of my nails had bubbles in the polish.  I went back a couple days later (May 6) to have the polish redone since it had bubbles all over a few of them. Tina, and her sister (who is usually nicer) seemed annoyed that I was there to have them fixed/redone.  I was told that "some polishes bubble on people all the time, but most people just don't care because they aren't as picky as you."  This was seriously so rude.  I pay $40 for an acrylic fill and Shellac polish, so I really don't think that it should have tiny bubbles. Furthermore, I had NEVER asked them to fix anything in the past.  They seemed incredibly annoyed and were even snapping at each other to just "take it off all her nails and redo it."  So Tina redoes the Shellac polish, and I notice again, she did not use acetone on my bare acrylic nails as I have experienced with other nail techs prior to Tina doing them.  They bubble AGAIN.  Tina gets visibly annoyed like it is my fault. A different tech does my nails, applies acetone at the beginning, and her polish job is perfection.  She told me acetone must be used for smooth application of polish.  The entire debacle made me MISS my nieces dance recital.Today I made an appointment for a fill and a pedicure at 4:30PM. Mimi was still out of town, so Michelle is my acrylic tech. My dentist appointment ran late, so I called and asked if I could make my appointment at 5:00 or sooner if I made it prior.  I was told it was not a problem.  I show up at 4:45 and Michelle sees me 15 minutes later.  She does a great job, zero bubbles in the polish. I ask about my pedicure I scheduled. Michelle calls to Tina, who comes out from the back room. Tina says that they do not have time to do a pedicure. Tina tells me she said on that phone that they would do a pedicure IF they had time, and they did not.  I tell her she is mistaken because I would have just canceled my appointment and come another day if she had said that. Tina argues that they do not have time to do a pedicure, and stands by her statement that I am wrong. She's raising her voice at me to the point other clients are watching her, she crosses her arms, rolls her eyes, and says: "FINE. If you want a pedicure, I will just do it MYSELF and you'll need to wait until I do a polish change on someone else.  I guess I just will be late going home tonight and now I won't see my son until after 8PM."  I am seriously SO HORRIFIED any employee would behave how she is, that I ask her why she is guilt tripping me by telling me I am making her delayed in seeing her son. I did not do anything other than ask about my pedicure appt. and she keeps rolling her eyes and raising her voice.  She tells me she's done dealing with me and, storms off like a 5 year old having a tantrum. Her behavior was truly unreal. Never in my 38 years have I seen an adult employee behave to a customer in such a way.  Insanity. Read Less

Great service! The girls in there put so much effort into my holo nails cuz they knew I had been looking for a salon close to home that didn't cost an arm and a leg and had the holo powder. The woman who did my acrylic and shaping did a beautiful job and the other woman who applied the gel polish and holo powder took her time and made sure they looked their best even though I have pretty worn in hands from my job of doing hair. I love this nail place. I moved out of the area, and I am sure I pass over 50+ nails shops, just so I can come here. I am ALWAYS happy with the work they do. I typically stick to shellac manicures, and just recently started doing shellac pedicures ( which is AMAZING) but I have done tips with Tina and they turned out fabulous. 4.5 Stars - small family run nail salon with great attention to detail for their customers. Customer service needs some fine-tuning, and long wait times on the weekend even with appointment. Since this place was running on a different name, I've been a regular to this shop for years. Great people with solid technics, attention to details and pleasant environment are few of the factors that has me returning for years. And now, shop's name is reflecting new ownership under Mimi. It's gotten lots of bling blings  and quite a number of improvements since the new management.Loann is my mani/ pedi specialist. She's been taking care of me for a while- also Nancy. They can all make my regular manicure look like gel mani. Case and point - I've been complimented on them, by total impartial strangers, many times. Autoclaved sanitized tools are the basics that is always reliable here. And sanitary pedi tub disposable cover gives me peace of mind that I won't ever have to worry about toe/ foot infection. At $35 for both services, definitely great value for your money!Not that I really want to give away my secret weapon... but ok ! This shop is undeniably one of the cleanest, well maintained and well ran shop in the Tri-valley area. Highly recommend making an appointment instead of just walking in as the afternoons can be quite busy. And sometimes because of that, appointment can be pushed out a little... just plan your time wisely.My review remains  4 stars still because there are times that it's hard to enjoy my me-peaceful relaxing time because conversations can sometimes be lively, not spa-like.
