I recently got my gel manicure done by Julie during lunch break, but after I went back to work within an hour I noticed some blemish on one finger, so I called the salon to see if I could get it fixed later on the same day, but they gave me very bad attitude. So I didn't even bother going back and just put some clear coat on that finger to alleviate the awkwardness of that nail. I just don't think this is an appropriate response considering that I gave her good tips, and that if I went to other salons and noticed a mess up on my nails even one week later, they would let me go back to fix for free. After having been a customer for many years I had to return this time ( and for the first time)because the shellac manicure simply started peeling off after a few days.  When I went back I was told that it is my fault because I was peeling it. She kept saying the other nails are fine and that she will charge me to redo them.  When I showed another lady she told her to redo them.  The technician was extremely rough with my nails and started to paint them even though there was a chip.  I showed her and she said its ok.  I decided to leave with my unfinished nails.  It is one thing to make a mistake but another to provide extremely poor customer service.  I went to a salon down the street where the work and customer service were excellent! DIRTY!!! Just got a mani pedi with some friends and I was the last one to sit down but the first to be done.  What ???? Super rushed service and we were the only ones in there at the time . When I was drying my nails a couple people walk in and get pedis .. the girl who did my nails took her cart to the back and literally put the tools into a new packing envelope , and brought it back out and started working on the next customer ..... EW. No cleaning ? No sanitizing ?? And you do that in front of people ? That's gross and I'm grossed out to say that the guy getting his nails done is getting whatever was on my feet .... prices are awful, you can find a better deal pretty much anywhere ...The work is crap too.... our nails had bubbles everywhere and they won't fix it for you. This place does not value their customers. I've been going to this salon for a couple of years now and just got my nails done today. I picked Number 558 cherry blossom for my shellac color. When I got home I noticed some of my fingers had a purple film on top of the pink color ( cherry blossom) that I originally picked. I've never seen this before so I went back to the nail salon and asked them to redo my nails because I was not happy with this purple film on the pink. The  manager tried to tell me to come back in 2 days because the person that did my nails had left already and they won't be back until Wednesday. I told them no I will not be coming back  because when I decided to get my nails done in the first place I expected it to be done looking nice and not this purple film on top of the pink color (Cherry blossom)  that I  picked. The manager gave me an attitude and was not sympathetic to this issue. I will not be coming back here again because If I'm going to pay $55 to have my nails done I expect friendly and professional service and this place will not ever understand that because the manager does not know how to treat customers Read Less

I'm pretty simple when it comes to choosing a nail salon. I don't really look for too much, just inexpensive and decent customer service.Came here for a mani and pedi for a girls day, and the experience was ok.They were kind enough to let us pop a mini champagne bottle for a little mimosa, so that was enjoyable.Their pedicures are nice and relaxing.Their mania are rushed and just ok. The ladies aren't super friendly but they're not rude either. I just expected more from them because they're in a field where customer service is a priority but that's just me. The worst experience ever. I chose the gel manicure and it barely lasted for 3 days even though she said it will last for 3 weeks! Worst gel manicure quality i have ever made. The ladies their were so rude to me, they don't have any customer communication skills. She worked on my manicure for only 10 mins, she was working so fast that she was about to cut my fingers. Got a French manicure here... Lady was sloppy and talked to another employee the entire time. A person in training sat next to me and watched the person who did my nails, which was so creepy... they ended up chipping the next day... I recommend Diamond nails. Read Less

I like this place because of their work even though they don't really have much customer service if u know what I mean. In other words They don't make me feel any way for coming every 2 weeks and dropping $45 plus $10 tip! Besides a hello, that's it. There always need to be customer service. Anyhoots I won't be going back anymore because they have no new gel colors for over 2 years now. It's the same selection and maybe 50 shades to choose from while most other place have for example 15/20 shades of red to choose from they have 3 in gel. Best of luck to them! Read Less

My worst ever nail experience. I came in with a photo asking for something pretty simple but for some reason the lady couldn't or didn't want to do it. I'll post photos. What sucks is that they were rude... Ended up cutting my finger, putting glue on top of the cut to stop the bleeding, and they charged me $55 for nails that my friends said looked like shitty amateur nails I could have done at home with my left hand. It was overall a bad experience, and they spent two hours on my nails while my friends nails (just shellac polish) was done within an hour and she just waited around for mine to finish. Horrible. I got gel nails done here and they chipped before it was even a week. I went back to get them fixed, and they were very rude, implying that it was all my fault that they chipped. So so so rude. What they called "fixed" was just lazy. They painted over the gel polish I originally had on instead of removing it and starting from scratch. I'm never going to go back. Read Less

I heard about this place from a coworker and decided to give it a try. This is my new go to salon. The place is nice and the chairs are comfy. The ladies do a very great job at making you feel relaxed and they are professional.I havent tried the other services they offer so I can only speak about the nail spa service. Read Less

I've been coming here for years, mostly because it's close to home , however I do have some issues with the place.  First,  don't get a mani/pedi together , they will have your arms pulled in every uncomfortable position while the other person is working on your toes, nothing relaxing about it.  Second, I often find when I'm getting a pedi, my nail person will stop working on me to either answer phone,  get a sink ready for another customer,  or put a last coat on someone else.  They do a good job, my pedis last, but service is bad. I gave this place many chances but decided to never return. Everytime i come here i am more dissatisfied with their work. The nail polish they use is terrible quality and most of the time it is old and top coat they use is the worse I've ever seen!! Regular color should last at least a week but mine didnt even last one day and had to clean it the next day due to the horrible job they did.  I was sitting in the chair for more than 20 minutes letting it dry but the color wouldn't even dry because they put so many layers. While putting the polish on she made a mistake and ruin it and was trying to cover it with more layers of polish. Save your money and go elsewhere. Read Less

I've been to my fare share of salons. I was back out in the Bay Area visiting after moving away and tried this salon in June and again now. I had a great mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax each time. The first time I got my eyebrows waxed, the woman finished and then gave me a head massage. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I had never had that done for me with an eyebrow wax EVER. This time, I had just started my pedicure and received a phone call that I had not obtained the job I had applied for to move back to the Bay Area. A job I really, really wanted. I was crushed. And on this trip, I had such a great leg and arm massage! When I was getting the arm massage, I told my manicurist that I wish I could truly enjoy the wonderful massage I was getting and told her why I was so upset. She then moved to my shoulders and started to give me a shoulder massage and patted my arm because I started to cry, that was how shocked and upset I was. She was so kind and understanding while I was trying to keep it together. My nails were beautiful and I enjoyed my visit, once again, even though I was so distracted by the sudden change in my future plans. Thank you, ladies, it was truly appreciated.I have only been to this salon twice, and on both occasions, have been shown a little something extra. I've never been so dissatisfied with my nails. The top coat they use is the worse I've ever seen!! Usually, my pedicure will last until the nail grows out, but literally... I had to clean the polish on my nails and my toes the next day because the top coat sucks! I was sitting in the chair for an hour letting it dry, it makes no sense that the polish was breaking. The only upside is that my technician cleaned my cuticles really well. My friend got her nails done too and we showed the nail technician a picture. She said she could do it, but started doing stuff that didn't look like the picture at all! I kept trying to correct her and telling her she's doing it wrong but she wouldn't listen. In the end she was talking in Vietnamese ranting and saying that she wants to do what my friend wants and not what I was saying. My mother/daughter day consists of a facial at Element Spa, then walk right next door to this spot to get a mani/pedi.  So convenient. 1 star!My first time here with my mom, we had Helen and Julie take care of us.  Both did such an excellent job with us - did not rush us, the leg/arm massages were wonderful, and they were so nice. =) 2 stars!Unfortunately, our last visit,  was not as good as the first  and that had to do with our aestheticians.  I don't know the names of the 2 women that took care of us but they were rushing. My girl - was the smallest, tiniest one of the group, but had really strong hands!  She was too rough with me with her massages, it hurt.  Additionally, as she was cleaning my cuticles, she cut me.  And my mani/pedi didn't look good at all.  She was just to harsh, too fast, and too rough.  Although, she does a great job of waxing my eyebrows!All the workers there are generally very nice and accommodating.  I get that they're trying to make a living and work on as many clients as they can, but do that without the expense of ruining our experience.  I will still give this place 3 stars but I know now, to ask for Helen or Julie. This is my go to nail salon. It's located on the second floor of the Ulferts Center, and it is a nice, clean establishment with a refreshing view of the trees outside. The ladies working there are a lively bunch, and will keep you entertained. I usually get a pedicure done, but I have had manicures done also. They do a great job every time. They also have a decent color selection. Although, sometimes it's hard to find the neutral/nude colors, as they seem to only have bright colors. What I do like about this salon the most is that all the tools they use come out of a fresh, sealed package. I'm not exactly sure what they do with the tools after they use them (throw out, or clean and repackage), but knowing that it comes out of an unopened package makes me feel better lol. I also feel as if they are really accommodating. I have almost always called 15-20 mins before asking to come in, and they have never said "no". The only complaint I have about this place is that there was a time where I didn't have time for full pedicure session, and I only wanted a color change on my toes. Even though I didn't get the massage, she still charged me the full price for a pedicure which includes the massage. It wasn't that big of a deal for me, but I've been to other salons before where they charged me less if I was only getting a color change. Regardless, they are amazing and I still love coming back. First time to come to this nail salon. My sister referred me to Julie (??) - but sis only gets pedis.  I asked for manipedi.  I should have stuck with plan. Ok, to be fair, the shop's decor was nice, especially the big baskets of real orchids. But since I didn't go there for the decor, I won't rate that. The manicure service I did come for: Naahh - I certainly won't be going back there for it. The pedi service was good - but since they seemed to have over-booked, the attendant I had the appt for my manicure & pedicure rushed the process. I was also handed over to another attendant for my manicure.  I was fine with that, but now I wish I didn't. Poor girl doesn't know how to properly apply nail polish if her life depended on it. I think her name was Nguyen.I forgot to bring my reading glasses, so I didn't notice how botched the job was until I got home to see it clearly. Awful. Awful. Read Less

I've been coming here for the past 3 years at least but now I refuse to return and will be looking for a new place.The quality has gone down dramatically- my shellac manicure's peel or seperate from the nail within days of getting my manicure. That just shouldnt happen. Also I caught how unsanitary they are. They bring out the manicure utensils in a sterile pack so you think they have gone through a sterilized rinse or wash- when in fact they just grab the tools out of a basket in the back and shove them in the steril bag, seal it and use it. I'm particuarly shocked by this. Customer Service has gotten horrible. Not at all the girls like Annie who do your nails but the head lady is not a nice person. When one of my manicures started to peel (like I mentioned above) a day before a wedding I went in to ask them to re-do them.  I showed her the peeling and she said "Ok, no problem" and one of the girls started to re-do it for me. Then she comes around when I'm half way done and tells me she is still going to charge me, that I was lying about the peeling- even though I showed her! And my current manicure was only 3 days old. Don't you think that charging me should be disclosed upfront when you committed to re-doing it?? Some of the girls in the salon tried to stand up for me without any success and were very apologetic.That was the final straw for me and I won't be returning. Please just me careful going here- especially now that I know they dont sanitize the tools properly. I know of at least one person who has gotten a very serious side effect from another salon that did the same thing. So take caution and dont let your manicure turn into a nightmare health issue.
