My go-to pedicure spot in Downey! I come in as a walk-in but I usually try to call ahead to avoid any long waits. I've always been pleased with the service and quality of my pedis here. They recently got new spa pedi chairs and I am a fan. The salon is clean and they have a wide selection of OPI and Essie polishes. Staff is friendly and I appreciate that they have CNN on the TV in the salon. I like mixing self-care and learning what's going on in the world. Highly recommended nail salon in Downey! Read Less

I am not one to leave reviews, especially negative ones. But after my experience today, I have truly never felt more disrespected in a place of business that I am a frequent visitor at.I have been going here for about 10 months and never had an issue. I loved it here. However, after my experience just a few moments ago, I do not think I can return.I walked into the salon without an appointment, as I always do and never had any issues. I was greeted by Lisa and she asked me what I needed. Another nail tech named Jenny then proceeded to ask me if I had an appointment and I said no. Once I said no she started speaking to Lisa in their native language and I stood there waiting as it seemed Lisa was going to help me until Jenny started speaking to her. It's finally about time I get to posting a review for them! I've been coming here for about 2 1/2 years now. I tried many places in the area with great disappointment until I found Jenny and her crew. I get acrylics so Jenny always takes care of me. My pedicure I let anyone who is available do.  Everyone is great! My mom always asks for Lisa. I always get compliments on my nails and people always want to know where i get my nails done. The worst set of nails I've ever paid for, cost me $30 I asked for a French manicure style with acrylics the girl who did my nails did not speak English it took her almost an hour just to remove the polish and prep my nails for the tips then she glued tips on that where not wide enough for my nails then she filed the sides of the nails almost to points, looked coffin shaped, I said no I want them squared, she files the tips flat, the damage was already done and now i jyst wanted it over withthis girl was new at this I could tell, it took three hours and she did a horrible job from start to finish, I myself do a better job putting nails on myself, but I didn't complain cuz I did not have the time it would have taken to correct the errors, I will never go there again Read Less

I have literally lived a round the corner  for more then 20 yrs and have never tried this place, until now. I was on my way to take my Kim to her normal Downey favorite nail spot when they were over booked so we were looking around and decided to give this place a shot.  They were pretty steady with clients. When it came to be our turn after about a 30min wait. I love the fact that all the nail techs literally took their time. They weren't rushing to try and grab the next client they focused on the client in their chair until they finished  and were satisfied with their work. I have never had a nail tech and these place literally run her finger across each gel nail to make sure there wasn't any lent or bubble that she could fix. My mother, my daughter and myself really enjoyed coming here. Thank you for the great work we all loved our nails! Will be coming back!! Just moved back to Downey and tried this nail salon, what a disappointment. I got a pedicure, which was fine, but my gel manicure was a mess. The woman who removed the previous gel scraped it off with a blunt instrument and completely ruined my nail beds. I've been doing gel manicures for years and never had that happen, it was awful. Then she painted my nails using OPI (talked me out of the color I really wanted to use because she said OPI is better and lasts longer). Because she destroyed my nail beds, the color didn't go on smooth so I left with a bumpy gel manicure. It took her more than an hour because I really think she didn't know what she was doing. So I arrive at 8 :05 pm because I just came out of work & as I was passing by I saw the OPEN light outside of the salon & I quickly busted a U turn & hesitatingly walked in. I had 0 hope I was going to be seen but I gave it a try anyways. I was promptly greeted with a smile, I asked that are you guys still taking Walkins because It is past 8pm & I bit my tongue. They welcomed me without hesitation, I waited for about 30 min but I didn't care because my nails looked ridiculous & I was excited to get them done. I hate writing bad reviews but this is my second attempt to get my nails done here and both have been bad experience. The first time I came in after work and was told they could not see me since I did not have an appointment. I understood. However, I called this morning to book an appointment for after work. I schedule it for 6:15 pm. When I arrived at 6:10 pm I was told that I would have to wait an hour since they were to busy. What's the point of making an appointment then. I tried to explain to the lady that I had an appointment and could not wait since I don't live in the area. I am also pregnant 30 weeks and am tired from working all day. I don't understand this place and their customer service sucks. I will not be attempting to go back to this nail salon again. I found Emily by accident after working my way through various beauticians as my regular lady had stopped working. She was professional, friendly and listened to what I wanted and what I didn't like about the previous people I had used. I decided that Emily is my go to for all my waxing needs, eyelash tint and now more recently, my nails. I came here only because my best friend is a devoted customer to this place and I wanted to get my nails done with her. I decided to get acrylic nails done for my engagement shoot. They turned out beautiful and I had received so may compliments on how natural they look and the color I chose. They already earned 5 stars in my book for this, but the best part is today I'm going to get a fill (after 4 weeks) and not a SIGLE nail has lifted or fallen off!!! Plus they are still super shiny. My hands are constantly in water (every single day) and still nothing has gone wrong with my nails. I am absolutely amazed with the acrylics durability. Today was my second visit that I had my nails done with Emily - l was not disappointed, she did a first class job , very professional and she is just lovely. I also asked Emily to do wax my eyebrows which I was nervous, but I was made to feel very relaxed and not painful as from my previous experience in another salon. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This nail salon is the only place I go to and is truly my favorite. Kim is extremely kind and makes you feel so comfortable. She has had over 30 years of experience and works hard to make your nails look flawless. She carefully spends a lot of time on my nails making sure every detail turns out perfectly! I like this location because it is located in a convenient area and there is always plenty of parking! Inside is charming and very clean. Also, they always use the individual sterile packages for their tools for each customer. I received a mani and pedi and am in love with my nails! They have a huge selection of colors and if I can't choose, Kim will help me select a shade for me! I also appreciate the fact that her services are affordable because i am currently a student.
