Was referred by a client of Mia's - whom I had complimented on her beautiful nails (manicure), when I made an appt for mani/pedi, i was advised Mia is too busy with brow/lash work to do my nails. I should have believed the reviewer who said they were terrible with fake nails. THEY ARE. Everything is an extra $5. I wanted a round nail. $5 extra. I brought my own bedazzle, $5 extra PER NAIL. They have this annoying dog & it licked the mouth of my water bottle in my purse. And the straw of my friend's coffee who was waiting for me. When I told the manager she said "my other customers have no problems with him." I wanted them long, they did them medium length. They woman did like 3 coats when only one was needed (since its a matte nailepolish), which made my naiIs look clunky. I DO NOT recommend this place. $37 for acrylic nails is a rip off. I recommend going somewhere on the south side where they do it cheaper, quicker, and follow instructions properly. Read Less

Only go to this nail shop if you want a basic no chip or color. This nail shop is terrible with fake nails, overlays and even Chrome nails. I asked for pink chrome nails, and they turned out a glittery pink and still charged me $45 ($35 for the no chip and an extra 10 for the chrome)! That was the first and last last time I will be going to this shop. Let me save you the trouble don't waste your money.I expressed my concerns with the manager she basically told me she didn't care. I've been to two other places for lash extensions and while, I was never unhappy with the quality of work at other places, I was happiest with the final result here. Mia is, in a word, amazing! She genuinely enjoys doing the work and it shows. She's extremely patient and spent a lot of time going over what I wanted and afterwards, had suggestions for how we could amp it up even more. She's also got a sweet personality that makes you feel comfortable and you can truly feel her excitement about providing quality services.Speaking to my overall experience: Parking at the salon was easy. They've got a shared private lot in the plaza. Her studio was clean and organized. She was gentle and quick but not hurried, which is crazy considering the amount of attention to detail required in this process. She also wasn't pushy about add-ons or products. The lashes lasted well through about 2.5 weeks, which is about right. Most people have to do fills every 2-3 weeks. Everyone/eye is different, depends on your personal care and shedding. For example as of right now, about four weeks out from my session, a good amount of left lashes are still hanging on strong while most of my right have come off. But, I also like to use oil-based face wash (because it's much better at removing my makeup), which is kind of a no-no because it can loosen the lash glue. So all things considered, definitely quality work. Overall: To be honest, I wasn't sure lash extensions were worth the trouble and expense I had been going through to get them. They save me some time in the morning, but they require a bit more maintenance than some people realize and I hadn't found the exact look I was going for in my past applications. Nice family working here but the gel manicure I got here left my nails DAMAGED!!!! The person doing my manicure used a drill sander on my nails BEFORE applying the polish. She told me this helps the gel nail polish adhere better. Well the color stayed on well for about a week and then I had to have it taken off and my nails are now stained yellow/gray and very uneven across the top. I should have known better and not let her use the drill sander. No massage or hand soak with my manicure. Pedicure was mediocre, no real massage or treatment.
