Bad customer service and arrogant managementI had manicure and when I got home, I notice there were air bubbles on several nails. I called Red Persimmon to inform the manager. She told me to return immediately to fix. I told her I couln't Since it was late in the afternoon. The manager replied and said, them there is nothing I can to for you!Excuse me, the manager couldn't of offered a complimentary manicure the next visit.Red Perimmon shouldn't offer bad polish for customers to choose from.Stay away from this place Read Less

I wish I can give zero stars. I don't write reviews but I just had to for this one. I've been here few times and today's experience was the worst. First, I asked the lady to cut my toenails short and clean. When she was cutting I can feel the nail clipper digging into my skin below the toenail. Then she cut everything else square with pointy edges so I asked her to file them down so they they're rounder. She asks if she needs to fix everything so I said yes. She cuts and files them and each of my toenails look like a hexagon! I don't think she understood me so I gestured it to her. I asked her to round it and she says it's already round and gets frusttated. So I was gracious and told her that's fine thinking I'll have to fix again when I get home anyway. Then for the color, she paints over my skin and I gave her benefit of the doubt she would clean it after, which she did. But she missed one toe so I asked her to clean that one. She did but she still failed to actually clean it. She gets frustrated and tells me to tell her what to fix so she can fix it before the top coat. I pointed to the same exact spot where it looked like the polish was running down my skin from the toenail. She said my toenail shape is like that so she can't fix it -_______- The polish was clearly all over my skin. I didn't want to argue since the place was quiet and people next to us were already watching so I just said that's fine, paid and left. I came home and checked and there were brush bristles stuck under the top coat.All of the corners of my toes are red from the deep cutting. The top coat wasn't put on smoothly so there are some parts on my toes that are missing the top coat. I'm going on a girls trip this weekend and wanted to get my toes done but now, I'm going to be wearing socks all weekend because my toes look like I have a toenail biting problem! Read Less

FUNNY STORY: I came here with my sister looking to get a pale lilac with silver accent look. But somehow the purple ended up as a pale, Cinderella blue, which isn't a color I usually go for, but I liked it so I decided to just go with it. Great spa that is well decorated and makes you feel like you're being pampered at a fancy place. I like that they use a new file and buffing sponge for each new person and let you take it home too. They do charge a little more than some other...salons $30 shellac mani. the pedi they do is spot on! They're buffing tool for the pedi is what makes the difference. This place doesn't get 5 stars but it does earn a solid 4. I have been coming here for years because it is extremely close to my house. I enjoy coming here because every single time I come here they usually can take walk-ins, I come on weekdays only. I never make an appointment, which probably I should... oh well. I don't get designs on my nails because my work won't allow it so I settle with one solid color and they seem to do an exceptional job. I always get acrylics done on my nails and I will admit so far they've done a good job with getting the shape right as well as an accurate nail length that I am looking for. No crooked nails here, or at least I make sure of it. Every single time I've come here to get my acrylic manicure, I believe my nail has only broken  once or twice and I've come here a lot; more than what my check-ins show, just saying. All I know is that the people who've I've enjoyed getting my nails done are from Lisa and Mimi. They're the best because you tell them what you want and they will try and accomplish it for you. I have always showed them a picture of the shape I want and they have been able to give it to me. This place doesn't get 5 stars because on multiple occasions I have been burned by the machine they use to sand down the acrylic or they've cut my skin while they file away my cuticle... which this should be a reason for them to be rated lower, but I do find this place to be more tolerable than other nail salons I've gone to. I come here with my sister and she has absolutely no problems with being cut or burned, but my nails are sensitive and sometimes the nail technicians just don't get it right. However, with Mimi or Lisa I usually never have problems. This place also doesn't get a full 5 stars because if you are on a time crunch this is NOT the place to come to. They take a while to finish off your nails which I have found myself to almost be late to some things when I am short on time. Read Less

This was advised to me to be the best place to go while i was in Plymouth. The man who did my nails said they cant do pointed (in derby pointed is my usual shape) , so did rounded, dried my nail polish with a mini electric fan not the correct polish dryer, paint come of straight away , & all nails was different sizes like my thumb one was a center meter more than the other one being nails that's a big difference. Being back in derby i went to get my nails corrected and the person doing my nails said they was the worse nails they have seen luckily they could fix them and do the proper shape ... Very very unhappy with my experience hear. Maybe it was just the male who did my nails that wasn't experienced enough don't want to put down each worker but wont be returning that's for sure Read Less

I usually don't go to nail places that people have not recommended to me however, this was the only one near my friends house so basically we came as walk-ins. The place looks nice from the outside and even on the inside it was relatively clean. However, the service here is terrible !!! The manicurists/pedicurists are awful. My friend had her manicure down and she said the lady had cut into her skin times and pretended like nothing happend. I had a foot spa pedicure and callous remval. While she was applying the medicine to my foot she just yanked my foot and held it up---as if to say hold it up here...she didnt say anything though she grabbed it and held it in place and looked at me as if she was gonna bite me. I have never been to such a horrible nail...I was absolutely shocked but now as I see these other reviews, I know I'm not the only one. So if you like to get your nails done...and you don't want to get your skin sliced, I seriously do not recommend this place. I paid for my services unwillingly and certainly left NO tip to the underserving employee who provide such poor service-certainly this he first and last time I ever go here... Read Less
