Butchers. Nice lady manager but she nor the guy who did my friend and I know what they're doing. My friend's nail polish never set (dried) and she rubbed it off with a paper towel two hours after we left. The guy removed my gel toenail polish with a rotating file. My toenails are ruined now until they grow completely out. I questioned if this was the right way to do it (I'd only had it removed with acetone polish remover-soaked cotton balls wrapped in foil previously). Both of our cuticles are ragged (my mom's were bleeding in two spots). The woman asked me what shape I like and I said "like they are" (square) and she proceeded to round them completely. All of my ten nails needed re-filed because the edges are unbearably raggedy and after an hour and a half in the chair I still have hangnails and dry rough feet. Don't waste your time. Read Less

Nail Candy is a vibrant and fantastic company with staff to match!! They are creative, caring, and really work hard to make sure you enjoy your time with them. They are interested in you as a person, which you understand if you have ever been. It is a nail salon with a difference. They do a lot to support worthy causes like women who have been affected by domestic abuse, and donate time and treatments to people who would otherwise not get to experience the luxury of having their nails done. I tried this place for the first time today. The place is cute, the tools are clean, they seem to pay attention to giving you a decent spa experience. I had high hopes, but immediately after my manicure and pedicure, I stepped into the sunlight and vowed never to come back. I've had my nails done by the majority of the girls that work there and they have all provided excellent customer service and beautifully creative designs on my nails. Let me preface this review by saying that whenever I have to go to a new place like a hair or nail salon that I get pretty bad anxiety about the whole thing because I'm super shy and always feel as though I'm being judged so it's always a bit of an ordeal for me to even get in the door... That said, upon entering Nail Candy I was greeted by the whole salon smiling and saying hello. This was a far cry from the usual 'walk in and get stared at until you stammer that you have an... appointment' that I've had to deal with before in other places, so we were already off to a good start. My nail tech, the lovely Aston, immediately made herself known and directed me to her station and started chit-chatting about what it was I wanted before getting started. There wasn't just chat between me and my tech, but between everyone, clients and Candy Girls alike, and it really felt very relaxed and so friendly. As for the actual nails, I opted for a black gel polish with loose rainbow glitter over the top and my goodness, the sparkly! It looked absolutely gorgeous and still does now, almost four weeks later with not a chip in sight! The only difference between now and the day they were done is the small gap at the bottom of my nails where they've grown, so I can definitely attest to the fact that Aston did a fantastic job! After paying (they don't accept cards but don't worry if you forget your cash, there's a cash machine literally opposite the salon) and rebooking, everyone said goodbye as I left which, again, gave me the fuzzies. I've been to this place a couple times now for waxing (eyebrow, underarm, and bikini). They're quick, affordable, and convenient because they take walk in's. But if it's your first time waxing this probably isn't the best place for you because of how informal they are. Read Less

if you are looking for a fancy, luxurious at decent price this place will fit your expectation. The place is cozy and well-decorated. The lady who did my nails today was awesome, her service and attitude were both great, next time I will make my appointment with her again. (-: The other staff members, include the owner, were all very friendly people as well. I literally had the hardest time choosing everything but everyone there was really patient with me and took the time to help me find what I wanted. The nail technician was really intricate with her designs. My sister got a snowflake and a snowman draw on her nails while I got some crystals and glitter glued on. She was also super fun to talk to and took his time on our nails to get them perfect.Read Less
