I started going to Nails Plaza a few months ago and it's been the best nail salon experience I have ever had -- definitely my go-to nail place now! Overall a good experience. I would have actually rated it 4.5/5 but there are no half stars here, so I rounded up. I had a total of 4 services done here: mani/pedi, eyebrow waxing, and eyelash extensions.I walked in without an appointment on a busy Friday but they were able to accommodate me pretty quickly. I'm super indecisive when it comes to picking out my colors, but my manicurist was super sweet and did a pretty good job in helping with the final selection! I'm used to paying San Diego prices for the mani, so when she told me about the gel mani/pedi combo, I went ahead a did them both! So far so good, it's been about a week so far, and no chips yet!Since I had a special event to go to, I decided to also get my brows cleaned up here. So here lies the issue. I normally go to Wanda in San Diego, but because I recently moved here and needed it done ASAP, I told the esthetician to just "clean it up, but don't touch my arch/shape at all". As soon as the middle strip was taken off, I IMMEDIATELY knew that he over waxed my eyebrows. When I walked out, my eyebrows were a totally different shape. They were sparse, short, and looked a lot more curved than what I had originally walked in with. I was upset but not surprise, because this happens EVERY TIME I switch up my normal eyebrow person. Now I have to wait 1-3 months for my brows to grow back so that I can drive down to San Diego and have it fixed by Wanda.The last service - eyelash extensions, I just kind of did on a whim. It was my first time trying out eyelash extensions so I didn't know what to expect. Because I normally don't wear fake lashes or anything of that nature, I wasn't used to how full and voluminous the lashes looked! You literally don't have to put eye makeup on when you wake up, because the lashes make it look like you're ready to go clubbing! It wasn't until they started falling out that I really started to like them. I guess I prefer the more natural looking eyelash extensions? All in all, it was a great first time experience. I'm not from Socal so this is my first time here. I needed to remove my gel mani from last time and redo a new gel mani. Came in around 4:15 on a Sunday and they weren't busy at all which was good cause I got taken care of right when I got there. I told the girl I had a chip on each of my thumb nails and after she took off my gel polish, filed, shaped and buffed my natural nails, she fixed my chips with this white thin paper that blended in very well with my natural nails (my first time getting my chipped nails fixed). Overall she was very careful with everything she did and I didn't get cut or nicked. I got baby blue nails in Twinkle Toes I believe and a shimmery accent nail. All for $20, very satisfied with the price since other places I go to back in school at Davis charged up to $30 for gel. I would come back here when I visit my boyfriend's family and needed a quick nail fix. Read Less

Went here for the first time this weekend, and fell in love with the service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. They made me and my boyfriend feel very welcomed. I do my own nails, so I only get my pedicures done here. I've definitely gotten a good design painted on one of my nails from them, but other than that, the service is just okay. I like my pedicures to last about 45 min to an hour. There's only take about 15 min. You can't tell me that there's quality work being done in just fifteen minutes. It's just okay. I tried to like them and this was my third visit, but I just can't. The final thing I have to say is don't bother having an appointment. It literally doesn't matter because you get in there and wait as though it's a walk in. I wouldn't recommend this place. However, the women rave about the job that David and Henry do on their nails and from what I've seen, it looks like they do a good job. They just don't care about your time, which is why I couldn't rate them higher. Read Less

I absolutely love David! I came in wanting something fun and asked for a stiletto French white ombré. David asked if I'd like glow in the dark, I said sure! Then he asked if he could make one of my nails a unicorn and I said okay!It's still neutral enough during the day that it's not too crazy, but at night it's super fun! All in all, done well and with style. Also great price!Also driving into the plaza, to the right you'll find a bunch of auto shops, to the left is where you'll find all the little boutiques and the Nail Plaza!
