This is a great place for an inexpensive hair cut. Price as gone up to $11 which leaves room for a healthy tip if they do a good job. I have been getting my hair cut at this place for 5+ years, first at their old place at 3rd and L St. and now at their new place just south of the Davis Food Co-op on the opposite side of G street. Permit parking out front makes is difficult on weekdays to find a spot nearby, but no problem on weekends. Very convenient walk or bike ride from downtown or UCD.

I have been getting haircuts here for 5-6 years now. I've been to other places closer to my work, but none are as consistent. I grow a lion's mane every 3 months and get my hair cut here to come out a new man. Like another reviewer, I ask for a simple haircut. He's fast, pretty friendly, and cheap. He's moving soon, so if they don't update it here it's 527 G street.

Guys don't waste your money, crapy hair cuts, every time i get a hair cut i have to wear a hat to cover the mess. That's what you get for $10 hair cut, add 5$ and get it done in a better place.

I am surprised this is the second review for this place!The gentleman who cuts hair on the opposite side of the nail place has been cutting my hair for the past 6-7 years. He has seen my locks go from dark grey to grey. Now that I am moving I will miss his quality work and will never forget his focus and attention. Every other hair-cut I've received seems rushed. It's different with this guy! He really takes his time and aims for perfection.The price is right on point and always does a wonderful job on my simple "JFK" cut.I wish him the best of luck!

This is a review for the haircut place that is attached/in the same building.I am a male with a simple haircut and I've been here 3 times now. I only know vague directions like "light trim" or "1 inch off all around". This guy is fast, friendly, doesn't do all the annoying small talk and I always come out with exactly what I was hoping for. And it's only $10, it's great!

This is a great place for an inexpensive hair cut. Price as gone up to $11 which leaves room for a healthy tip if they do a good job. I have been getting my hair cut at this place for 5+ years, first at their old place at 3rd and L St. and now at their new place just south of the Davis Food Co-op on the opposite side of G street. I have been getting haircuts here for 5-6 years now. I've been to other places closer to my work, but none are as consistent. I grow a lion's mane every 3 months and get my hair cut here to come out a new man. Like another reviewer, I ask for a simple haircut. He's fast, pretty friendly, and cheap. He's moving soon, so if they don't update it here it's 527 G street.

I am surprised this is the second review for this place!The gentleman who cuts hair on the opposite side of the nail place has been cutting my hair for the past 6-7 years. He has seen my locks go from dark grey to grey. Now that I am moving I will miss his quality work and will never forget his focus and attention. Every other hair-cut I've received seems rushed. This is a review for the haircut place that is attached/in the same building.I am a male with a simple haircut and I've been here 3 times now. I only know vague directions like "light trim" or "1 inch off all around". This guy is fast, friendly, doesn't do all the annoying small talk and I always come out with exactly what I was hoping for. And it's only $10, it's great!
