I only come to see one technician here and she is fabulous, so she would get 5 stars for the work she performs. But the owner gets 2 stars because he is very unprofessional in the way he runs the business.  He will set up an appointment and then would still make sure not to honor it and you end up waiting for 30-50 minutes for it. Kinda defeats the purpose of making an appointment in the first place. And when you bring up to his attention his lack of time management he bluntly ignores your comments. Just pissed that I have to waist my time like this and that he prefers to have all his nail techs to be busy every minute instead of honoring the appointment schedule which he makes himself. Honestly pretty disappointed about this place and don't think I'm going back there again. I work in Westwood and live in the South Bay so I like to find nail salons in the area between those two locations. I browse through Yelp and came upon this place and decided to give it a try because of the great reviews. So I made a same day appointment and drove there after work. The parking lot was a bit confusing and I had to call them to make sure where I parked was okay. Once I walked in, the place is cramped with people and I didn't feel too welcomed. All the staff were busy and I didn't get acknowledged right away. I told the guy at the front I had an appointment and he told me to sit down to wait till the next available spa chair. It didn't take too long until I was seated. I got the gel mani & a spa pedi. The price is reasonable and the service was average. What I didn't like the most was my nail was chipped the very next day! I was going to go back in the next day to have it fixed but didn't wanna bother as it was a hassle to drive there just to get it fixed. Then my nail also broke a little few days later so it looked really ugly. Although it was cheap but I rather go somewhere else that does a gel manicure better & it would last for at least two weeks. I have extremely short, bitten nails. I really wasn't expecting that they could put acrylics on my nubs, but I was there with friends for a pedi and figured i would try. Tony did them and they are so beautiful!!! The shape is absolutely perfect and everyone was kind and attentive despite it being extremely busy. I had a very unpleasant experience at Tony Nails & Spa. While the prices aren't bad, the environment, parking situation as well as the service is terrible. When I walked in, granted it wasn't very busy, a group of the employees were huddled playing card games very loudly. Didn't get much of a greeting, simply a "pick your color." After doing so, I stood around for a bit until someone decided to work on my requested manicure. During my session, the manicurist nearly cut my skin twice - she was definitely not careful and being quite rough. The manicure itself ended up looking okay; however, it was not an enjoyable experience. Lastly, when I was trying to pay, the receptionist was quite rude and said they can only accept tips in cash so I should pay the whole service in cash as well. Understandable, so I withdrew cash from the ATM in the salon ($1 fee). After paying, I asked for change in 1s so I can tip, only to be met with more attitude. We came in around 5:30pm right before rush hour and waited barely even a few moments. However, immediately after sitting down the place was exploding with activity, with appointments backed up a few minutes and the wait ranging from five to thirty minutes. However, I will commend the owner on his ability to quickly serve and satisfy customers simultaneously with accurate wait times for each. Many of the clients appeared to be regulars, addressing the owner right away by his first name with an immediate air of familiarity and comfort permeating the area.Tony did a great job with my acrylics, paying very close attention to detail, ensuring the nails were prepared for the acrylic topping. My nails have lasted at least two weeks and have barely chipped nor receded at the bottom, so I would say I am very satisfied for $26 and the quality/efficiency that came with that. My friend got gel nails done for $25 and even went back to the same place to get a pedicure since they did such a quick and solid job. Please note: parking is a hit or miss.  Either park in the back (may the parking gods be on your side) or you can park at the meters.My second time here and definitely much better than what I remembered!  I've been on the hunt for a local place since I live in Midcity and this place is such a gem!One of my close girlfriends swears by this place and now I know why... They get sh*t done! I got the mini-deluxe by Helen, who is fab. Will be asking for her going forward. It was probably one of the best leg massages/scrubs (at a nail shop) I've received.The polish selection is not the best, but you will find a few OPI and Essie bottles that fit your liking!  The ladies here often chat (read: yell) to each other, but I haven't heard any nasty remarks about a customer - so that's a good sign! Had to cheat on my manicurist because she was out of town and I had a nail emergency (one broke, two gems fell off, and there was chipping). My friend found this place and she made an appointment for the both of us on Friday at 5:30PM. We ran around 5 min late or so, but still had to wait some minutes before being seen. I really wish I remembered the name of my manicurist because she was awesome. Very meticulous and detail oriented when laying on the acrylic and also when shaping. I didn't feel like she rushed at all, really took her time to make sure everything looked to her and my liking. Removal of the old acrylic was not pleasant (when is it ever?); it's quite painful. I got a full set of gel and paid $46. (They charge an extra dollar if you use a card). Would definitely go back if I was in Culver City area again. The only con is that I really wish there was some sort of ventilation in the salon because the chemical smell was so strong it gave me a headache. Read Less

The ladies were very nice very fast, and did a great job, I called prior to going for pedi and mani and told me one great price, then at check out the male gave me a 12$ diffrence price increase, I asked why, amd he got so mad at me and said, " you know our service! It's not fancy, but man did they get the job done. I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure. Not only were they meticulous, but I was out of there in an hour. PLUS they only charge $25 for a gel manicure. The pedicure situation isn't as sanitary as I would prefer. This is 2017 and they can definitely improve on that but I'll surely be coming here for my gel manicures from now on. Oh and when I asked about parking Tony offered to move my car so I wouldn't get a ticket and so that I could get started on my nails. Let me start by saying that I am satisfied with the way my nails look and the price was very reasonable; however, the customer service here is terrible.  I stopped by to have my gel polish removed and replaced.  I just recently started getting my nails done so I'm not fully up on the lingo yet.  LOL  The women at the front of the room, not necessary at a front desk but just sitting at the front of the room on a couch, asked me what I wanted and then pointed to an empty station where a pile of gel polish samples were sitting.  I was shortly greeted by the woman that who was actually going to do my nails.  She was very polite and did a fantastic job on my manicure.  Once she was done, she wrote the price on a small piece of paper and thanked me.  I was happy with my nails so I tipped her right there.I assumed I had to go towards the front to pay but as I stood there, no one came towards me to take care of payment. I had to look at the lady sitting on the couch to ask...is this where I pay?  A gentleman doing a full set actually took my small piece of paper with the total on it but still didn't say anything.  I had to ask if they take card or cash and the gentleman pointed at a printed sign stating there is a $1 charge for card.  I was OK with that so I handed him my card and he proceeded to process the charge by putting the card in the card reader and going back to taking care of the nails he was previously doing.  I took it upon myself to follow the instructions on the machine, remove my card and then leave.  It was all so awkward.  The whole experience would have been much more pleasant had someone simply spoke to me rather than assuming I knew what I was to do next. This little hidden gem of a nail salon is located right off of Sepulveda and the 405 in Culver City.. I'm so lucky to have found them! Selena and Tony do the best acrylic nails I've ever had! They're not too blocky and fake looking, but they look very clean and natural. The selection of gel colors is nice and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated.. All of the staff are really sweet too! FYI: you have to bring cash because they do not except credit or debit cards for payment!Read Less

I had been looking around for almost 5 years for someone to do my nails exactly how I want them and every single place I went to failed. It's very simple. (Slightly curved). What's so hard about that. My old nail person of 15 years disappeared on me and so far was the only person that did them right. Well when I found Tony I almost jumped from joy..I couldn't believe it.
