Ylang Ylang has a ton of awesome colors to choose from. They even had a great selection of bright colors too. More so then other nail shops I used to go to which for me was a huge bonus because during the summer I like my toes to be bright! All of the ladies that were working were genuinely sweet and very professional. The two ladies that ended up helping me today did a really great job. They were both very attentive and kind throughout my entire experience. The store was clean and everything was very sanitary. The prices were totally reasonable too. Use dirty tools & poor quality jobs.I have had average manicure experiences here but went in for a pedicure yesterday.  I was on a major time crunch and desperate so I gave them a try.The lady doing my nails was not very friendly and used a dirty nail file, with someone else's nail polish from the last use still on the file. The rest of the tools used did not look clean either.  I mentioned this to her and she rolled her eyes and pretended not to hear me.I got home and inspected my pedicure and she only painted about 1/3 of the nail on both my pinky toes.  will not be returning. The nail salon is clean, warm and beautiful. The staff is professional, kind, and polite.And to top it off, they always take their time with each manicure and pedicure so what you get is a high quality nail job every time. I came here with some truly horrific nails after a camping trip and they cleaned up my cuticles thoroughly, trimmed my nails evenly, and put it in the work to make my nails absolutely beautiful. I loved his place for the convenience and price ,however I decided to try acrylic nails with gel polish for the first time vs my normal manicure and it's been a nightmare . First off the price went from $25 to $35 without them even asking me, secondly the gels on 3 of my nails came off THE NEXT DAY . Now almost 2 weeks later my nails are coming off and it's so painful ! I went to another salon and they wouldn't even do my gels because they said the people before filed too deep and it would break through my nail . Very frustrating . I've only been in a few times and have always had a good experience! You can't beat the $14.99 pedicure offered Monday - Wednesday. Small, clean and quiet little shop. It's right down the street from me. Friendly employees and not pushy with upselling. Coming in today reminded me I need to come back more often! I've been a repeat customer of Ylang Ylang for a couple years and I am so happy to have found this place on the whim I did almost 5 years ago. I found it while not living in the OC while I was staying the weekend with a girlfriend then almost anytime I was down here I would stop in. Now I go regularly and they consistently provide quality and detailed service for arguably the best price I could find in Orange County. They are always accommodating to get people in even if last minute and their staff is always polite, friendly, and attentive. I'm only giving 3 because of their customer service, which was pretty good.  But good customer services only goes so far.  I also need Quality Service!  I got a gel mani on Saturday and by that Tuesday, it looked as if I had them done for 3 weeks!  I was already on the fence about getting gel, but decided to do so because my nails are so soft.  Well, guess what the gel didn't do a dayum thing except peel off day 5!  What da What?!? Buah why?  I believe they used cheap gel... Location is Everything!  And they don't belong in that area for the prices and quality of service. Seriously irritated!!I usually go to Zendo Nails, but I needed my nails done as early as possible and they opened a lil earlier.  My advice - GO TO ZENDO!  Trust me Hunty!!! I have to say that this place gets 5 stars for the service alone. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store and was helped immediately. I originally came in to get white gel nails and a pedicure for an event that I was attending that night, so I was in a bit of a hurry. Long story short, the new manager that worked on my nails did an amazing job while still remaining friendly and extremely humorous even though I told him that I needed them done as fast as humanly possible. And while I asked for white gel nails, the manager offered to give me a design, and if I liked it he would continue and if I didn't, he'd erase it. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant because I was in such a hurry, so I asked for something quick. Needless to say, I am so so so happy that I agreed! The style he drew for me was simple yet very edgy. And the massage that I got with my pedicure made everything even better. This place is hit or miss. Some days they take their time and do such a great job but other days they rush and are kind of aggressive when they do your pedicure or manicure. I got white gel done and it just looks sloppy. The edges aren't smooth and the manicure was rushed through. But then other days I've had the best experiences there. Great awesome pedicures that last long!! But I must say that their gel manicures only last me for 6 days maxwhich is not worth the I go to another nail salon for the gel manicure cause they last me 14 days & I believe it's because of the OPI bake machine they use. Rosie is good, Joelle, & another girl forgot her name! Great selection of high end nail polish by Essie which is my favorite cause IMO lasts the longest. OPI too!! This is my second home. Im here twice a week for my mani pedis.While I will admit there is nothing spectacular about this nail  place- its not super fancy or expensive-but my mani-pedi is the best in town. Opi China Glaze and Essie colors galor. The girls here are not lazy and they will trim all your cuticles off and finish a perfect job with a shiny polish. Everyone talks about Rosie being the best but honestly its because she speaks the best english. Rosie aways answers the phones and has the most appts because people can talk to her. My favorite girls are Fiona and Kathy they are very sweet and they do a great job No need to make appointments. Everyone comes here to get the Deluxe mani pedi. It includes a 15 min shoulder massage. I went to get a brazilian wax at Ylang Ylang and they told me that they could take it all off. I have gotten millions before.The woman who was waxing me had NO idea what she was doing and was suing wax form a roll on tube in which she DIDN'T change the tip before using it on me! The waxer made open wonds on my private that bl3d. she then put lotion all over my private that stung, and when I asked for a towel to whipe it off she said that i had to leave it on.
