Kim is amazing! So glad I tried this place! She's the new manager and has the best attention to detail. Did a full set extra long with almond shape and all of my nails were perfectly symmetrical same length and same shape. This place is in the same shopping center as the 99 cent store. All of the bad reviews are from when it was under the old management and do not pertain to the new staff. Very glad I ignored the stars and checked the review dates. Absolute worst nail salon I've ever ever been to!!! The lady put SO much acrylic on top I had to spend an extra 40 minutes for her to file down to natural looking that I had requested before she even started. Linda, Annie and Van always give me a great gel manicure and pedicure.  I have been coming to Jovial Nails and Spa for a couple of years. I went in here when I was visiting with my niece I think they did a good job and I also think they could be a great salon however, they try to scam you I wanted the 19.99 package of Mani-pedi and then they shove a piece of paper in your face in the middle of pedi which one and then charge you $25 more without telling you that's  a more expensive option it's very underhanded Certainly not good business! Prices are cheap here and they have done an ok job 1 out of the 3 times I've been there. This most recent time I brought a friend and his daughter. They both got pedicures, the $13 pedicures. At the end they told my friend the total was $38. While they were doing his daughter's pedicure they talked her into the $25 package without consulting with the parent. This is not right! This is taking advantage! Also the man that painted my nails painted so thick and with a very cheap polish, that it took over 30 minutes until they said they were dry.  Come to find out my nails were not even close to dry as I went to the bathroom and while I was pulling up my pants all of my nails smudged. I had her remove the nail polish and I refused to pay for the manicure. I also did not allow my friend to spend $25 for his daughter's pedicure, as his permission was not asked before they proceeded. EXCELLENT customer service, all around clean, more parking in the rear, no extra charge for shaping the nail, and they offer free water, wi-fi and Television.  They have great prices, they offer other services but they are not pushy. I definitely recommend this spot. Charley is awesome! Read Less

Please don't come here, unless you feel like getting tortured. My friend and I both went home bloodied. The tech cut my friends toe nails so short she took off and left! Her poor toes were bleeding. I had a cracked nail and he didn't bother to put a new acrilyc on, so when he was filing that nail it SPLIT all the way down to my real nail and tore it almost completely off. It's the worst nail salon ever! My nails are already looking a mess and it's only been a week! They over charged me!!!! First they told me 29 for acrylic and my toes plus I got gems that was a 5$ charge so it should of been 34$ they charged me 45!! This place is a scam and the worst nail salon ever! By far the worst nail shop on earth. Terrible customer service, they are so RUDE This was the worst nail experience in my life, they are so aggressive and not gentle at all. By the end of my visit my nails were lumpy, crooked, messy, and had hairs stuck in the nail polish because it was nearly 100 years old, they look so messy and unfinished. I am fully disgusted with their service. I will never in my lifetime go back. Throughout when they were filing my nails they cut me several times and i told them to be more careful, but they didn't listen. Their main goal is to just finish the nails quickly and get paid. After i told them everything that was wrong with my nails they refused to fix my nails & asked to pay them the full price. I have been her loyal customer for years when she was working down in Mission Viejo & now follow her here to her new place. I've been here a few times because it's so close to my house but every time the same lady with the same BAD attitude is there and honestly makes me wish I had never gone. Prices are cheap is the only reason why but you get what you pay for and I was in the middle of getting my nails done when a mother walked in with her daughter who had just gotten her nails done and was threatening to have them shut down because her nail wouldn't stop bleeding and was badly infected! It his is my go to nail salon they can get busy buts it's defiantly worth the wait. Their spa pedicure is the best I have ever had they spend so much time massaging you and making sure your nails are filed perfectly. When I saw the other reviews I was surprised I have been coming here for sometime and have never left unhappy! I came here because I just happened to be in the area. I noticed that their pedicures were only $12 so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and the place was very small. No one greeted me or tried to help. I asked them how much the gel pedicures were and she answered with a lot of attitude. I told her ill just do a regular spa pedi. She told me to pick out a color and I found one I liked. I picked it up to shake the bottle and the cap flew off. When I tried putting the cap back on the bottle slipped and fell. It broke and Polish was all over the ground. Although, I don't look Vietnamese I can speak and understand fluently. And the entire time this situation was going on they were just talking shit about me. The fat lady who was the boss was the worst. She didn't even want to do my pedicure because I broke the bottle and instructed the older lady to give me a broken chair. The boss kept trying to get her employees to make more money off of their clients. She kept asking them if they wanted flowers over and over again. The old lady who helped me became nicer after I told her I wanted to do the deluxe pedicure which was $20. The deluxe was supposed to come with a footmask, lotion massage, and cooling gel. I never got the lotion massage or any massage for that matter. I still tipped her $5. Although the pedi was cheap idk if I'll be back. Read Less

I have wasted $12.00+tip to get my brows waxed and my nails polished/painted. I decided to give their business a try b/c the other nail place I usually go to has a lot of people, and since I don't need a full mani-pedi anyways, I thought this place deserve a try. But this place is a disappointment. The lady doesn't know how to shape my eyebrows --- okay given the fact that mine is quite challenging than usual, they still should know how to shape it, and not just wax the scattered hairs around it. For the nail painting, I always bring my own nail polish, and this lady treated it like it doesn't have value!! she spilled it all over the rim, and the sad part is I could have done the nail polishing myself with the same result. This place was horrible!!! They took 3 hrs just to finish my manicure and pedicure! They were so unprofessional! They had only cleaned and cut my feet when more costumes came in. All they had to do was paint my toe nails and that was it, but they had me move from the pedicure chair to the waiting chairs so that the new costumers could take a seat!  Then they started working on my nails. The lady kept burning me with the filer and grabbing my hands roughly. She didn't even cut my nails before gluing on the fake nails. She also didn't cut them equally to one another. After she was done my skin was glued to my nails and it hurt! At this time my toes were still not painted! Everything was messy and gross! SHE CUT ME 3 TIMES! I only have 10 toes and she cut 3 of them to the point where they bled. That's a 30% fail rate. The only reason I gave them that extra star is because they are really cheap. It may have just been a bad nail tech. I will never get my toes done there again.
