I agree with some of these negative reviews, but honestly, in my experience, all nail salons have their cons!!! It's all about the person who is working on you I think. I have gone to Tiffany and she is the BEST!!!! I've had really mean nail ladies who are rude and a little pushy, but Tiffany was the total opposite! She kept asking if I was okay or if I needed anything and she talked me through what she was doing (I have gross toes and feet so I had the special pedicure done). I have been here a few times, each time I swear its my last.  They aren't friendly, rush you in and out, and do a sub par job.  My last pedicure was a mess and when I asked to get all the ripples and ridges out of the polish (it was really bad), the lady who did my pedi just rolled her eyes and sat in a chair herself - never moved to come help fix it, nothing.  Someone else had to come over and reapply the polish.  It was unbelievable how little they care about quality.With all the nail salons out there, I'd recommend going somewhere else. Defiantly the worst nail job I've ever had. I got gel which I normally don't but it was my birthday and I wanted it to last the whole week, right. 1st of all the woman cut my nails super short and proceeded to rush my nail job and it was so sloppy. I pointed this out and she said she would fix it with the next layer. That was not done. I had to grab another lady at the end who spoke English and explain. My friend recommended this place so I had high hopes despite some not so great reviews. Unfortunately, I agree with most of the below. The place is very nice but the services were very rushed and poor quality. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. They offered me the "special package" for $20 more in the beginning and when I said no, they continued asking about add ons the rest of the service. The paint on my toes was only 1-2 coats and still see through to my nails despite the red color I chose. I loved the color of my gel but it started peeling after 1 week. They have no idea what they are doing here. I asked for chrome and spent two hours getting a manicure because they couldn't figure out how to apply properly. My nails turned out very messy and the chrome chipped off about an hour after I left and washed my hands. This is not my first time here, but it keeps getting worse. These women speak the English language but speak a different language behind your back that includes pointing and laughing. Customer service is not a priority. Recently came here for a gel manicure, and I felt like Tina did a great job. She was really friendly and took good care of my nails. The place was pretty busy, but they take walk-ins, so I was able to get in right away. The price of a gel manicure here is more affordable than other places I've been to, so that was also a plus. It isn't the best salon I've been to, but I was happy with what I got, and I think I'd go back for another manicure in the future. Read Less

The saying "you pay for what you get" definitely applies to this place. I just moved to Costa Mesa from Newport and came across this place. I liked their lower prices and most reviews were positive so I gave it a try. My gel manicure started chipping after just 5 days. I normally go a full 2 weeks before I have to go back in. I went back in to see what they could do. The girl who did my nails started arguing with me. Apparently she had me mistaken with someone else because nothing she was saying matched up. She caused a scene and was trying to blame me for the chipping. I rather pay the $45 dollars I was spending in Newport and drive 25 minutes to receive a better outcome and customer service. Me and my sisters just walked into this nail spa for pedicures, manicures and a facial. Well, I sat down at the spa chair and I wanted the basic pedicure and manicure. I am a simple person and don't like extra fluff services except the callus remover. I have to say that as soon as they knew what kind of services I wanted, they acted like I did not matter and sped through the service as fast as possible. This was by far the worst pedicure and manicure I have ever received. My cuticles looked basically the same as when I arrived and I was asked to pay for my services before the even finished my services. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. Ever! Love this place...Great service all the way around. Got the leg and shoulder massage along with a pedicure and manicure. I love this nail salon!  I have been coming here with my daughter for 8 years and have never had any issues.  All the ladies that work here are very nice and do a great job.  They are very good with my daughter and make her feel like a princess.  The salon is clean and well managed.  i would highly recommend this place to anyone.  The package is $50 which is reasonable and they do a good job. Service has gone WAAAYYY down! I used to visit this salon for mani/pedis, but have been going to island nails (on the peninsula) for logistical purposes. I was in a time pinch and couldn't visit island nails, so I decided to have mine and my daughter's pedi and gel mani's done here. Boy was that a mistake!!!The new manager is terrible and made us feel like we were a part of an assembly line - even though the place was relatively empty (technicians sitting on spa chairs, snacking and chatting). The woman who performed my gel manicure (color change) really needs to rethink her career. She filed my nails so super-fine I had to ask her to please stop filing. She then proceeded to put the thinnest layer of gel. When I asked if they would chip or peel,  her response was "we can't guarantee nail". I knew at that point my gel mani would likely last a day. I was wrong, as it lasted 2 days before chipping! My pedi was just as bad. They kept trying to up-sale and push every other service offered. It was extremely annoying and not relaxing whatsoever. My 11-year-old daughter's service were pretty much the same. Asking her numerous times if she wanted cheesy flowers on her nails. Here's the kicker ... The bill for us both was $106, not including tip!!! (For a basic spa pedi+ gel color change.) Do yourself a favor and go to Chrisptoher's salon or island nails, both are about 1/3 the price and I've NEVER had issues with gel mani's chipping. Read Less

It has everything I need from a decent place and yet I have never been to anything like this. This pace is unbelievably great, can't believe I am this impressed with a nail salon. Everyone is so nice and professional and that makes me feel very comfortable and safe. The place is very clean and well organized. Sanitation procedures are strictly followed as I can see them cleaning up and sterilizing their equipment after every use. The tech took her time to make sure I am happy with the result and was also very gentle. Good products and beautiful colors. And above all of those, the price is super competitive to the places I have been to. Too bad it's too far away from where I live. Easily accessible location, looks clean and new inside, and they have a great selection of name brand polishes (OPI, Essie, etc.). Every time I have been it was too crowded for my taste... Customer service is OK. I paid $60 for a gel mani, regular pedi and tip. It lasted for one week, and I would expect a gel mani to last two weeks. They did not paint to the edges of my nails, and instead left a gap on the sides and above the cuticle. It wasn't noticeable at first, but after two days looked like I had gotten my nails done a week ago. This happened with both my nails and toenails, which were done by two different people. Makes me wonder if they are trained to do it that way so customers will come back for touch ups more frequently....... A week later I went to Vivid Nails in Costa Mesa and got another gel mani/pedi for almost half the cost and was far more impressed by their work.TO SUM IT UP: Popular place, looks nice, prices a little steep, and nails are mediocre. Today I was looking on Yelp for a nail salon with good reviews. I had some free time this afternoon and wanted to get a Shellac manicure. I saw that Finest Nails And Spa had 5 stars, on Google review... so I thought I would give them a shot. When I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist. All the customers seemed happy. The place was very bright and clean. The front of the shop is so comfy! I was directed to the sit for my manicure. I was a little early, so I was given a swatch of colors (2 swatches) to choose a color for my polish. There were a couple of clients being helped and I noticed how happy they were. The nail technicians are so wonderful here. They are the kindest and nicest women. On to my service. I had my nails done by young tech. She is wonderful! She gave me a wonderful manicure and I love the way she polished my nails. I didn't get a pedicure today, but I plan on getting one the next time. I found my new nail salon thanks to Google Review! She made me feel very comfortable and the conversation was pleasant. There are so many better salons in the area - Ritz & Christerpher's to name a few.I came here to get a gel manicure and spa pedicure.  After selecting a color for my nails, I'm told they don't have it.  I select another color in the same color scheme, they don't have it.  I choose a THIRD color, they use it and then it turns out streaky, so they tell me I shouldn't have chosen it because the Essie gel colors are no good and now i have to choose a fourth color to paint over the streaky color.  Is this for real?As for the spa pedicure - it's basically a toenail painting, that's it.  No massage (that will cost 5 dollars more), no callous removal (that will cost 5 dollars more), no scrub or oils (that will cost more)...I mean, what's the point?I can't NOT recommend this place enough.  Poor service, poor experience.  At the end, I had been there for almost two hours so I just wanted to leave. I've been to finest nails only once and have never been back because of quality and sanitation reasons. My poor coworker made the mistake of getting a acrylic gel manicure here on Wednesday night. She came in to work on Thursday and showed me her bright red inflamed nails and that they were cut on each side almost to her cuticles. She told me she'd never be back either, that it was the most painful manicure she's ever had. They weren't listening to her when she asked them to be gentle that they were hurting her.Hopefully more people will pay attention to the tools they use as they are not packaged or fresh out of a sanitation machine.
